Excellent location in the centre of town and delicious breakfast.

I asked one of the receptionists if there was a bus to the harbour terminal. She told me there wasn't really any bus, but would recommend taking a taxi. She couldn't be bothered to ask a colleague or look it up. It turned out there were two bus stops less than five minutes walk from the hotel with a bus going to the harbour terminal every half an hour. It is beyond my comprehension how staff at a hotel in a town of sub 20,000 does not know this. Nothing to complain about for the other staff members, though.

The central location makes it an ideal place to stay when you visit Mariehamn. The breakfast was very good and diverse, the a la carte restaurant is very good and the restaurant price is very competitive.

A little small peculiarity of this hotel is that the private-part hygiene shower is either missing or - in the public toilet in the main lobby - the hose is too short, and it barely reaches the toilet. It was a real adventure to use it, having to stay in a very awkward position, etc. Combined with the auto-switchoff of the water, and the fact that the water was set to "full-hot" (having to tinker with the valves under the sink) - I don't think anyone tested how unusable that is. One has to be a contortionist plumber to make it work. I managed somehow, so YAY for me! :) But it's not an issue for those of us who don't bother washing themselves downstairs, after using the toilet.

Because of the small number of rooms, the service seemed more personal. The breakfast was very good with many choices. Elisabeth, concierge when we arrived, spent extra time with us to help us decide on an upgraded room. She was very friendly, patient, and considerate.

Only some rooms have a small window that opens. Ours did not and we missed access to fresh air.

The staff was outstanding. Dinner was held open as we checked in late. We had a very early departure and they give us coffee and also offered a breakfast bag. Would absolutely go back in the future.

The shower sprays water all over the bathroom as there is only a very short wall.

Lobby and bar area very nice and modern. Very clean and fresh hotel. Rooms well soundproofed so could not hear anythibg from neighbours. I got an early checkin free of charge, and a evening checkout for a reasonable price. If you want a more fancy stay, Pommern would ve the right choice.

A small fridge in the rooms could be nice to store ie. water and snacks. Toilet paper kind of rough.

Spacious, clean and cozy rooms, great location, very good breakfast, possibility to stay with a dog for a relatively small additional payment compared to other hotels, super friendly staff.

Due to a very small shower screen, water was all over the bathroom floor. No shower cap:)

There was rather a lot of noise in the early morning, which woke me up. (But sound insulation is not great in almost any hotels.) The payment at check-in did not work with any of my cards.

Situated very well, calm (we had windows towards the inner court), nice breakfast, friendly service

Room, particularly bathroom, was quite small.

The location is the best in the city, the lounge is cozy, the restaurant is nice and all in all good hotel.

Breakfast could offer Cottage cheese and porridge with steel-cut oats. The Sauna area was not that cozy.

it was a great location and the room was a very good size.

there were drops of blood in the stairwell. I told the staff about it and we stayed for 3 nights and they were never cleaned. The bedroom was cleaned but was disappointed with the lack of action on the mess in the stairwell.
