Contemporary boutique hotel, with smart compact rooms, in a great Canberra location near many food and beverage options, with friendly staff, and nice complimentary add-ons.

Rooms are very stylish but a bit dark with not much of an outlook (design of hotel and apartment complex). Fine for a couple of nights if you are outside a lot, but maybe not if you wanted to spend more time in your room or need to work in your room for more than an hour, without a proper desk, just a small circular coffee table. Good sized indoor pool but needs some ventilation, improved acoustics and more safety mats on the floor.

We were very happy with Midnight hotel in Canberra. We were there to visit my daughter so had a short stay.We had a small problem at check in because booking.com did not forward my requests to the hotel. The last gentleman I spoke to over the phone from booking.com even told me to hold so he could call the hotel to request connecting rooms for me. He then told me that it was all done. At check in I was told that the hotel had no record of any communication from booking.com. Fotunately, the hotel staffs were SO SO helpful and they told me that they will fix it for us at once to make up with all the problems I was put through! I was very disappointed with the service from booking.com considering I have been a long time customer with booking.com and try to book through this website only. I was going to write to booking.com upon return. but I got caught up with work, If booking.com do keep a record of all the communication and calls I made., I didn't just call once. I called, emailed and even called on the day before I left to make sure that everything could be smooth at check in. I was very disappointed.

I loved everything about this hotel especially their friendly staffs who would go out of their way to help at reception. My only diappointment was booking.com! who has let me down so much after trusting this only one website for all these years with my holidays and hotel bookings!

Exceptional lap pool 🏊! Absolutely beautiful.

We had breakfast included however it was ridiculously limited. For example you could only choose 1 eating item and 1 drink. It'd be nice to think you could have a coffee AND a juice included as well as some fruit AND toast but anything, including additional butter, was charged. I did raise this with the management already. A simple but quality buffet breakfast would have been appreciated or at least a continental one that is inclusive of a cereal, fruit, toast, tea/coffee and a juice.

Comfortable hotel, room was quite spacious. Buffet breakfast was small but adequate - sort of 'boutique style'. Great location of the hotel put it nearby to many cafes, restaurants, local shopping centre and offices. Staff were helpful and the room was clean. Enjoyed the downstairs bar.

Style of the hotel is quite dark - theme is black like midnight. This can be a bit off-putting! The restaurant wasn't open on the Sunday evening, but that meant venturing out to find out about the local cafe scene. In-room safe wasn't working but was quickly rectified by the concierge with a replacement battery.

The location was great and suited us perfectly. The amenities were great. We loved using the large, heated indoor pool, and the sauna was a blessing on a cold Canberra winter weekend. The staff were helpful, courteous and efficient and really helped us enjoy our stay.

The rooms were a tiny bit small, especially in the twin bed configuration. Nowhere to put your luggage except on the floor, and getting into the wardrobe was awkward. I understand the room size probably plays a role here, but two occasional chairs would be better than one. What I would especially love is more hooks: In the pool area, especially near the sauna; in the bathroom; in the entry to the room, etc, so you can quickly and conveniently hang a coat, bag, wet towel, etc.

Great central location to Braddon, easy walk to restaurants and bars. The room was spacious and clean. King bed was comfortable, bathroom was big with nice walk-in shower. The complementary minibar was a great feature. Very nice to come back to the room and have a minibar wine without worry about minibar prices. Hotel bar has a nice atmosphere, recommend their espresso martini. Breakfast in the restaurant was also lovely, food was great. The indoor lap pool was good, sauna was also a bonus post skiing.

Car Parking was a nightmare. I paid at the hotel then when I left I couldn’t get out until I paid again, twice as much this time. the hotel wasn’t very helpful, just said the owners of the car park (not them of course even though it’s under the hotel) have taken the money so it’s not their problem.

Finally, a hotel that lived up to the marketing hype! This hotel is modern, with funky decor, quality fixtures and fittings, excellent facilities, and is very clean. It is in a great location in the trendy suburb of Braddon, which has a fantastic assortment of restaurants, cafes, bars and quirky retail. We both said we'd happliy live there! Hotel staff were friendly and efficient - check-in and checkout were a breeze. The room was a decent size with a spacious bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Loved the large screen TV, and especially the option to Chromecast from a personal device. The free minibar was an absolute bonus!! We thought this may have been an extra option - but appears not - 2 Beers, 2 bottles of wine, 2 waters, 2 juices along with cofee pods and snack biscuits- all 'on the house' each day!! First time we've had that in a 'normal' hotel. As for facilities, we didn't use the restaurant although it looked like a quality establishment. We did however, have drinks and bar food in the bar on two occasions and everything including the service was excellent. The pool on level 1 was warm and never too crowded (at least while we were there) and we had several visits to the sauna. (Pool and sauna were one of the main reasons why we chose Midnight Hotel, and they didn't disappoint). All in all, a fantastic place to stay in Canberra, (we have stayed in several others) - this will definitely be our 'go to' from now on.

Feel a bit picky pointing this out, but simply putting up some coat hooks around the swimming pool area would make a huge difference. If you don't get a lounger (numbers are limited) there is really nowhere to put robes and towels when using the pool/sauna, other than to drape them over the pool fence, pile them on the one stool outside the sauna, or on the sink. A small thing i know, but, come on management - easy fix!!

Location, comfortable bed, very clean.

We have stayed in this beautiful hotel many times as we found the complementary mini bar fantastic. On our last two stays we found that the items in the mini bar have diminished. The bottles of white and red wines decreased from 375ml to 187ml, there were no cookies nor sparkling bottles of mineral water/juice.

The location was fabulous; close enough to walk into the centre of the city and restaurants. Clean, modern and comfortable. Really appreciated the complimentary mini bar, well done. Pool facilities were lovely; clean and refreshing.

Staff did not mention breakfast or the restaurant which was disappointing as most likely I would have taken up both opportunities to dine in with family and friends. Nevertheless, I will know for next time.
