Location of the Hotel was really good. (It was a mistake I made to stay) as my friends husband has a sore leg but hurt it more playing bowls so it was very difficult for him to negotiate the stairs. I also didnt realize that their room had a bath/shower which also made it harder for him to negotiate. I did ask them if they were happy to go to the Exchange Hotel as you had stairs and they didnt think it would be a problem.
My home work for the stay. There is a big problem with space. We were very disappointed with the space for our luggage and where to put it. I really think you should get rid of the fridge inside the wardrobe and put it along side the cupboard/wardrobe. Put at least 3 shelves/drawers in place of the fridge so we can at least unpack. We borrowed a case/bag stand from our friends room (15) as they had 2 so we could put our bag somewhere. You really need to address the storage situation.

It’s a quaint old hotel that used to be a pub. It’s centrally located in town and we walked everywhere. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. We liked the ambience and art deco style. We were promptly greeted by a happy staff member. The squeaky floor boards walking up and down the stairs made it feel old worldly and added atmosphere to the place. Our room had a comfortable king bed with balcony access. Shower/bath set up. Spacious room with fan and aircon. Breakfast $15pp if needed. We didn’t eat in. Plenty of cafés around town. Street parking. Night access key to front foyer door. No lift.
There wasn’t anything not to like

The air conditioning on arrival is superb, very important in Broken Hill. The stair case is wide and easy and the hotel has an excellent central location and yet is very quiet. The rooms are spacious and the first floor balcony is excellent, especially for New Year's Eve. Sadly the restaurant, which was outstanding ion past year's, is no more due to COVID.
I was very happy with everything.

Comfortable bed. Spacious. Lovely breakfast room. Very good continental breakfast. Shower good.
Arrived after hours and had extreme difficulty opening the locked box containing the key. There were 2 gangs of youths in streets, so a very nerve wracking experience. After a phone call we gained entry. We had been told room 12 so we went straight to it only to find the room occupied. Then discovered our room had been changed. In the room the carpet was very stained and the air con was not to be set below 22degrees or it would freeze up. Room hadn't been cooled and we were in the middle of an extreme heat wave, so we were physically distressed for some time. Still, we enjoyed our stay and found the staff very helpful.

Great location on main street in Broken Hill. Easy access to buy food or eat out. Continental breakfast was very good, great price and a lot of options. Lovely art Deco era hotel, we sat out on balcony a few days to enjoy sights of Broken Hill. They had in the bathroom a dark coloured face washer especially for make up removal which was an excellent idea!

Location was perfect - right in the middle of town and a very easy walk from the station. Access to verandah with interesting views. Plenty of parking in the street. Easy walk to all the activities and pubs in Broken Hill. Staff went out of their way to assists us. When it looked like the train back to Sydney would be delayed, they even put a room aside for us - without I even needing to ask. So thoughtful and helpful. Lots of suggestions for activities and meals. Rooms small, but nicely appointed and very comfortable and very quiet, given the central location. We stayed for a week. And I'd stay there again without hesitation... I forgot to mention the Lounge - a comfortable spot to relax and read the paper or a book.
nothing. Just a lovely place to stay. Made even better by the friendly and helpful staff.

Great location on main st of Broken Hill with main st views from balcony. General layout and facilities at the venue were good, finishes, cleanliness and such were up to expected standard for venue as advertised.
No restaurant open during our stay. No cooked breakfasts or evening meals available at the venue. No off street or secure parking of any kind available at the venue or in near vicinity.

The art deco elegance. Tastefully restored. The super comfortable king size bed. Helpful staff who let us store our e-bikes safely inside. Nice good vale breaky.
Bathroom was rather tired but that’s to be expected in an older property. The shower was excellent though & it was all nice & clean .

It was a location that added to the experience of vision Broken Hill with an insight into the past history in an historic pub. Room was comfortable with a great bathroom.
No dining facilities for evening mean but this was offset by a number of available meal option of restaurants and clubs in the vicinity.

Our balcony room was extremely comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was very clean with great lighting. The continental breakfast , in the former dining room, was generous. The reception staff were extremely helpful and lovely.
As the hotel is older, it should perhaps advise that there is no lift for older patrons . There is a fabulous staircase, but it may be problematic for some. Similarly, the shower was in the bath in our room. This may also be difficult for some .
