- Check In communication from the Host - Advice on where to eat for dinner - No highway noise even though it fronts the highway

- Host Should disclose their restaurant is now shut friday - sunday. I pay more to find a property in the booking tool that says it has an onsite restaurant so I dont need to go out again after a 6 hour drive......Manage expectations and watch your ratings improve. We notice this occurs a lot of places now (not just this property) and wonder why the booking tool isnt aware of this practice or the hosts let you find out at check in......I will be more focussed next time I book anywhwere to ensure what is offered is available.

Set back off the Sturt Hwy but quiet. The room was fine and clean and the bed was comfortable. Loved the fact that they provided windscreen washing equipment... a good thing to remove the bugs from the Hay Plain drive. Hay used to be a town we avoided on our trips between Adelaide and Canberra but it is now our usual midway stop. The town is nice, lots of walking paths along the river and the Bistro in the local pub provided good food.

The only downside, but its not a biggie, our room was a corner room so it didn't have parking at the door. There was no shortage of parking, just not as convenient.

The hospitality at Comfort Inn Bishops Lodge Hay was amazing; nothing was any trouble. They were very welcoming on arrival and checked in to see if we were comfortable and needed anything else. They provided everything you needed and what you would expect from a quality regional hotel/motel stay. Even though the restaurant was not available, they had many quality recommendations locally. We had travelled from Adelaide—a long drive—so we were very grateful for the welcome and organized check-in!

We stayed in a disability-access room, which was very comfortable, but we found the shower drainage not great and sprayed everywhere. I am aware this would not be the fault of the current owners, and it shouldn't be a deterrent to staying in one of these rooms as it was manageable.

We liked everything, comfy bed, nice size room, lovely clean bathroom with nice hot shower and excellent toiletries, very well set up sink/bench/hutch area and value for money with discount from Booking.com

On arrival reception was not happy that I did not reply to text and arrived a little after 5pm as being a Sunday was informed it was after hours. Had been driving all day and hadn't looked at my texts and didn't feel it was after hours for a motel.

We have stayed at Comfort Inn Bishops Lodge a few times and always find it comfortable and clean. It is the perfect stop between the Barossa Valley where I have family and Taralga where I live. There are plenty of dining options close by.

We would prefer the rooms behind reception as this time we were in a room facing the Sturt Hwy and it was a little noisy, not too bad but would prefer the rooms in the back

The room was spacious and well presented. Everything was clean. The room was well equipped and everything worked. A very comfortable stay after a long drive. We didn't meet any staff, but everything was ready for us. I particularly appreciated having buckets with squeegees on the verandah for cleaning windscreens before departing - very thoughtful.

Our 2nd stay at Bishops Lodge Motor Inn, and it's still the best I've experienced in Hay. Spotlessly clean and tidy with updated bathrooms and comfortable, contemporary decor. Comfy beds with quality linen. Friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of room for 3 individuals in separate beds in the 2-bedroom family suite, with suitable crockery, cutlery, appliances/kitchenette facilities to prepare a light dinner and the following morning's breakfast. If the restaurant had been open we would probably have eaten in their dining room, like we did on the previous stay, as the food and wine list was good.

Nothing.

Set up of two bedrooms and shared lounge and bathroom gave enough privacy for trip with adult son. Had all we needed and appreciated help to book last table at South Hay Hotel up the road drop property. had heater going in room so warm on arrival. Is on main highway so do hear trucks but not so bad we could not sleep and easy to find hotel and also head on our way in the morning. Had breakfast kits for sale but we use IGA nearby to buy supplies for breakfast and liked that they supplied bowls and cutlery so could eat early in room and head on our way.

We should have turned heater off in room as overheated despite being winter. Our son turned off his and slept through no problem.

I enjoy staying at comfort inns as they are consistent and you know what you're getting. This was ni expecting. Nice clean renovated/modern units with upgraded TVs for Netflix etc. We had a family room which had a separate room for the kids. Pool on-site but didn't get to use as we ran out of time.

A bit noisy next to the highway but I sleep with white noise so didn't bother us.

The whole room and bathroom was spotless. I called to say I would be arriving 7 pm and receptionist called me back 2 hours prior to arrival to say they h\ad put air con on for me in room and pulled curtains ready for a cool room when I arrived. The shower was great,instant hot water and complimentary shower gel shampoo and conditioner

U can’t complain when something is perfect
