Let me start by saying that the accomodation is good, not perfect! However you pay for what you get, and to be fair for the location and price it's a great deal! The best things about my stay was firstly the staff, they couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, secondly and probably the best part of my stay was the resturant, WOW some of the best pub food I have ever had in my life, the court yard had this beautiful fire place and the decor was very relaxing, and that old school pub charm! I will definitely stay again just for the food and staff alone! Big shout out to Manager Nick, Emma and the resturant owner! PS could you please keep those T-Bone Steaks on the menu!!!!!!!! Service, location and food!

We were in town for 2 nights for a wedding and the Paragon was perfect. Room was spacious, clean, comfy and well-equipped. Bathrooms were shared but the female ones are very newly renovated and sparkling clean, and I didn’t see another soul in there during our 2-day stay. The pub itself is lovely too. Perfect spot for a pub dinner or a pre-wedding drink! Location was very central and parking was a breeze. My husband attended another wedding there the following weekend and booked in to stay again! It was also significantly cheaper than other options which weren’t as centrally located.

Although it didn't have an ensuite, it shared an ensuite (with a bath as well) with 2 other rooms. The room (18) was a larger than normal room and had a wall of cupboards and storage space. It was a Tuesday night so it wasn't busy in the pub so I don't know what the noise level would normally be like - It was quite my night. The AC filter was clean and worked well. Had a TV and jug with coffee etc and a fridge. A reading lamp would have been good and also some HOOKS on the back of the door as there is no hanging space to dry your towels - I also made this suggestion on a previous stay so it appears it went on deaf ears. Good cold beer and good music. Staff is friendly. Parking is on the roadside.

I've stayed before and this room is better than previous. Price could be lower as I think the pub is over 100 years old. Solid think stone.

Beautifully kept old style hotel. Comfy beds, lovely rooms with extra things (like fan, air con, fridge, table) that I wouldn't necessarily expect from.a pub. Bathrooms are modern and lovely and clean. The staff were lovely and friendly, had a lovely meal there too, the garden yard is lovely. We had a great time, felt safe, welcomed and appreciated all of the little touches like paintings, nice lounges in a communal area and just the lovely vibe.

We did know being above a pub was going to be a bit noisy. We were there on a Thursday,usic went till midnight (at least the music was good lol!) And then woken by a vacuum at 8, although that is how they keep the place in such great shape, so it is all to be expected .

Pub had great atmosphere and good food and drink. Really easy check in and great location. Ladies bathrooms were new and very clean - note we had a room with a shared bathroom. Bed was comfy and room had good air-conditioning and a sink, fridge etc.

Walls were paper thin so we could hear other guests throughout the night. Heat from other rooms made ours quite stuffy, so we had to use the cool air con despite it being a chilly night. Room was v small but that wasn't an issue for us.

Lovely apartment - next to train station , lots of shops , handy for city , Landlord was a lovely guy very responsive - I would highly recommend this place - Great find - BIG THANKS to the landlord

Was all perfect - maybe just be mindful steps up to the place tough for old people or women with pram - I had a pram and a 5 year old but was fine as was me and my wife with 2 kids - super place

The bed was so comfy! Like sleeping on a cloud! I also liked the shared ladies' bathroom, which was new, modern, and clean. The shower heads were excellent, too.

There was no mirror in our room, and it would be great if a full-length mirror was available even in the shared space, but it was good to at least have the hallway mirror when the bathroom mirror was fogged up.

Its a beautiful place with very comfy rooms. What makes the real difference however is the staff, they were extremely kind and helpful. Its just a cute and authentic spot, genuinely loved it. The food is also great and guests have a general friendly vibe, you end up talking to everyone there!

Slightly noisy if you get a room facing the main part of the building but everything goes silent at 10pm anyway.

Food is amazing, comfortable bedding. Good value. Vibrant and modern with some country charm. The beer garden and restaurant have a very nice atmosphere. I would stay here again.

Shower water was cold in the morning the night I stayed. Other guests/cleaners opening and closing doors as well as the local school traffic was a bit noisy in the morning for a light sleeper like myself.

Clean,well appointed rooms, renovated bathrooms, sitting areas and engaging staff. Downstairs bar, dining room and beer garden was inviting and lively.

Cold tap in our room didn't turn on. An extra bedside table would have been nice and bedside lamps but hey you can't have it all at this price! Great value.
