This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Having recently been refurbed everything is new, ie the kitchen bathrooms have been recently installed, also all the furniture (ie beds) are new. It is exceptionally clean. Bed linen and duvets and pillows are included and you can hire a towel at just $10 per towel which will be refunded when you hand your towel back. A big bonus is the rooftop terrace complete with beautiful bright yellow cane chairs and little tables. Best of all is its location, right on the main Bondi strip and facing the beach! Enjoy.

The only comment I would like to make is the cup/glasses shelf in the kitchen could be a slatted shelf so that the water does not collect on the shelves. These shelves currently have tea towels placed on them which collects all the water from the cups/glasses draining straight onto the shelves and the tea towles are sopping!!!

Great hostel right on the beach. Such a friendly atmosphere and great if you're looking to meet like-minded people. The rooms and facilities are clean and love the onsite washers/driers. Having a key card for access to all the main areas of the building was a great touch and I never felt unsafe. Staff on-hand were always friendly and approachable and ready for a chat. Loved the onsite activities such as morning rooftop yoga - great way to meet people and meant there was always something to do. Stayed in a 4-person dorm which was great, nice and spacious with plug sockets and lights by each bed.

This is a very noisy hostel!! The hostel itself is situated above a couple of student bars/restaurants which stayed open until the early hours of the morning. This obviously meant there was a fair bit of noise that came through the floor (vibrating and pounding) and I found it hard to sleep most nights. Definitely think this is a worse problem for those in the first floor rooms and probably isn't as bad for those on the third floor, but still this is mentioned nowhere, either in the hostel or online, as a potential problem/concern so I thought I would highlight on here for prospective visitors. If you need your 8hrs each night, this might not be for you.

Loved the location- right on Bondi Beach and beside the bus stop to get into the City Centre so you’re not far from there either! Really clean location, great staff always on hand. Was really surprised that there were activities held every day to help you mix and get to know others. Overall 10/10 experience would recommend to everyone!

The stairs- carrying those heavy bags up on day one and no lift. Tiniest little nit pick about it!

- The location is facing the beach with a breathtaking view from the rooftop patio. - Notices of daily social events are posted in several locations throughout the property and enthusiastically promoted by the staff. - The large shared kitchen and refrigeration units are convenient for travellers who want to dine in to save money or socialize with others in the seating areas.

Although there are several toilets and showers, they tended to get filled up during peek times of the day.

It was right at the finish line for City 2 Surf and it was the best to be able to go up to our room, shower, and take some food, drinks and a speaker onto the rooftop. The view from the rooftop is amazing. The bathrooms are recently renovated and the room was clean. The location on the main beach/street of Bondi is excellent. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

No issue if you're fit (so didnt bother us) but just beware that there are a lot of stairs and no lift.

- Just a few-second walk to the Bondi beach - Towel service - Clean bedsheets, pillows, and mattress - Free, recurring activities focusing on community building - A+ for accommodating staffs - A++ for a beachfront view of the room, but this kind of room is a minority of the whole building.

- No facility that offers privacy for a bed bunk. E.g. curtains - Not every shower room has a hanger and basket - Too few toilets

The location is across from the beach. This place has a well stocked kitchen that was very well kept. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were extremely pleasant . The GM Luke is one of the nicest people I have meet he aloud me to keep my over sized back pack at Wake Up Bondi till I come back in 12 days from traveling Australia I liked this place so much so I booked my last 4 nights there again

The place was great I wish the guests would follow the rules better The slamming of the doors all night long was the only negative I had if you just close the doors slowly they would not bang so loud. It is hard to make a fuss about anything when you get so many perks at Wake up Bondi beach

Loved our stay here. Perfect location along bondi beach. Loads of bars and restaurants all around, shops aplenty. Room was clean and a good size. Facilities including kitchen, showers, toillets all clean and tidy. laundry service available. Communal area upstairs and on the roof were great for meeting other people and for socials. Would highly recommend a stay here. Bus stop to all locations on the doorstep.

No dislikes.

first row in Bondi beach, so cool to stay so close to the beach; restaurants, bars, supermarkets, shops, bus stop and everything one needs very close by; very good bus connection to the city even at night, staff is friendly, big kitchen with enough storage for food and not too busy, comfy beds, very big and good lockers in dorm, safe luggage storage

no curtains in dorm beds (would be nice for some privacy), some rooms have windows which are very close to the building next door which makes it harder to get fresh air inside the room

Great location, fabulous staff who are very friendly to all guests, great social atmosphere made throughout the hostel. A very clean accommodation, clean showers and toilets as well as kitchen, this can be evidenced by staff completing cleaning routines frequently. Events team make all guests feel welcome whilst not being pushy but encouragement is there if needed! Rooms are clean and provide for what you need - each with a locker for each guest, beds comfortable also.
