This apartment hotel was great and I would recommend it if you want to stay centrally in the Sydney metropolitan area. Lots of pluses and a couple of minor niggles. The great things were its location - it was close to transport links, restaurants, the theatre and the stadium. It has on-site parking ($40 a night); our 3-bedroom apartment on 22nd floor was spacious, and very clean. The kitchen was large and well appointed. The beds were big and comfortable. The room was very quiet. The views were spectacular. The reception staff were friendly.

The niggles were that we needed to ring for towels (none in room) – not a big drama as they came promptly. There was nothing to clean up in the kitchen (no tea towel, sponge or washing up liquid; no small broom). This would have made it difficult if you really did want to cook as using the dishwasher for everything is not sensible if you only want to wash a few glasses or mugs. The pool was closed. We had a minor misunderstanding about a possible missing item from the room, but the duty manager was very helpful and professional and we resolved the matter with minimal fuss.

Easy, convenient for the conference I was at, easy to get to and easy to get around. Great facilities and lovely staff - was on the top floor so view was great and suite was big and spacious even though it was just me :)

The access to the roof was just outside my door and there was no acknowledgement or warning that people would be working at early times of the morning so woke me up and sounded like someone was trying to get into the room which scared me and then the left the stairs open just outside the door which was a little too close for comfort.

The apartments are good size and are quite modern. Staff were helpful. There is a swimming pool, gym on premises. Very nice views of the Parramatta downtown and even distant views of the Sydney center. Parramatta is a major train station, it is about 15 min easy walk from the hotel, trains into the city are frequent. There is a huge shopping center (Westfields) right next to the station and many many different restaurants and bars to go to.

Our first apartment was on the 10th floor, if you open the window you get a persistent kitchen exhaust smell, presumably from some grill bar on the street. Our second apartment on the 34th floor didn't have that problem. Some things in the apartments are starting to show wear and tear, e.g. doors don't close properly, showers seals leak, bathroom sinks don't drain well, kitchen knives can use sharpening / replacement etc. nothing major though.

Close to restaurant and cafes didint go far to look for food.

Meat and Wine Co staff were racists (Asian waiter with deep bass voice) Asian girl with teeth wire braces who refused to give us a table using reservation as an excuse only to be saved by their Philippino Manager who gave us a table inside the so called fully booked restaurant; only to be preyed upon by these two in delaying our food which in most cases were 20 minutes between courses and food turning up at the table being really cold. That was the worst experience ever, hotel management should look into their restaurant.

What a great place to stay. The check in was so easy and quick. The technology with the lifts is so good, makes life easy. The rooms themselves are top shelf and could not be faulted, has everything. The location is next level and the views are mind blowing as well as being right next to restaurants, Westfield and much more. If you like going for scenic walks, this is the spot to stay!

Location and facilities - spa and sauna, being able to use the washing machine, not having to worry about having breakfast at a certain time - I found that I was able to be more flexible with meals and I wasn't locked in to hospitality routines that you usually find in other hotels, being able to easily get to my car, the lift system was really impressive. I also loved seeing Riverside theatres from the restaurants, I used to be a professional dancer and performed at that theatre many times 20 years ago, I have many many good memories of that location and I loved that I could return to the same place with such pleasure. I would definitely love to visit again because the location means so much to me. Oh and I got to see the most beautiful rainbow from my room - please see the attached photo, it was spectacular!

I couldn't get the dryer to work but it wasn't the end of the world because of that

Really good set up of the suites in this property. For the rating that it is given, the place is very good, comfortable and great value for money. You can book a room with the river view, but bear in mind when you want to upgrade, the cost may be higher, but it is worth it if you are staying for more than one night, to get a good view from your room. The suite has all the necessary facilities, is very spacious and relaxing, while the bedroom is quite a decent size and beds are very comfy. Location wise, it is walking distance from Parramatta train station and is quite simple to reach on foot. I would recommend a visit to this place if you are looking for something different than the traditional hotels, the Meriton Suites is a fantastic option. However, you may need to book well in advance if you want good and competitive prices.

I loved that the food precinct was right there - for female travelling alone - safety reasons plus being able to grab dinner when I had flight issues. I loved my room & it was clean enough for me - So Thank You to your staff who maintain the rooms who often go unnoticed!! And the pool area was great (Indoor & Out) I loved walking into reception and the fragrance in the air was really lovely. Your team on reception & the lovely gentleman who is there in the mornings cleaning the glass doors to respond to a Good Morning started my day off right - The little things matter so Thank You.

We had a hiccup with the parking boomgate/ticket validation - so I think immediate communication available between the parking person with your reception is required - The parking person behind the boom gate raising their voice at my guest was unacceptable - They should be able to contact your reception team immediately to confirm validation of the ticket - Something that could have been fixed with a call turned into a stressful moment.

The suite was well equipped with everything I needed for 2 days stay. The staff tried their very best to provide the right care. Specially Hussain, was helpful, when the noise outside was a bother, he gave us complimentary car park for our stay and also the day we check out. He was very accommodating to my concerns. As we had issues with sheets and tv connection. During sport night. We wanted watch footy. But mainly because the noise outside of the hotel. He also gave us late check out without any cost. Which was bonus. Thanks Meriton suites team and Hussain the Day manager.

The construction outside the hotel with drilling and jack hammering sounds very early in the morning until evening. Pretty much the entire stay.

When we first checked into our room, we walked in and there was a puddle of water coming out from the dishwasher but it was all cleared and we got moved to another room and was given a extra hour to check which when you have 3 kids to get ready it was heaven having a extra sleep in. So felt really comfortable and great with the service.

There was a little bit of chlorine in the indoor pools, which, after an hour of being in the pools, all our eyes were stinging. But the layout and size of the heated and other pool were good.
