Location, facilities and service were excellent. The frontline staff employed were all from overseas backgrounds. They could be used to train and support local workers.
As this was an Indigenous owned property, it would have been preferable to have more indigenous people working there. i saw 1 indigenous lady working in the house-keeping area in the 3 nights we were there. This aspect was very disappointing and reflects the attitude of the current management to the community. I would not be happy to recommend this establishment to others because of this shortfall.

This lodge is very expensive but worth every cent. We were welcomed at 12:30 by Henry who gave us immediate access to our room. This was huge with a lovely bathroom and small veranda overlooking bush. Completely private and peaceful. In the evening we watched the winter solstice sunset whilst enjoying complimentary drinks and canopies. A three course dinner followed which was excellent.
Nothing. We could not fault this lodge. Our stay was perfect. Btw, I’m from Brisbane Australia, not Hongkong. The morons at Booking.com seem incapable of correcting this error in their system.

Our stay at Cicada Lodge was truly exceptional. The lodge's stunning location above Katherine Gorge provided a peaceful atmosphere that made us feel completely immersed in nature. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like locally sourced toiletries and a private balcony to enjoy the sunset. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, offering a delicious selection of fresh, local ingredients to start the day perfectly. What made our stay special was the outstanding service. Harry and Jasmine were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Their warm hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. Cicada Lodge is the perfect blend of luxury and nature.

It's a little oasis in the wilderness. Beautiful rooms with great facilities. When you are travelling out back, sometimes you just want to be pampered a little. This is the spot. This was our second visit 3 years apart.
I think that there has been a change in ownership or management between visits. Just not as polished in management as our first visit. The young woman at the house had some language restraints, which caused some confusion and wrong orders. We didn't raise the issue. we just accepted what was brought out.

Excellent place, food of high fresh quality and standard, professionally prepared with dedication, however menu too restricted (4 main courses). We stayed three nights, there are 4 main courses, if you are a non-vegetarian and for example not too fond on duck, this leaves you with fish or steak. Menu should be expanded or changed every other day, Smal gym would be appreciated, the welcome drinks and daily free two drinks are restricted to wine and beer, which is remarkable, as a G&T would do fine on the terrace, however this has to be purchased extra, not appreciated for the amount of money spend for the accommodation. (Aus $ 750) Staff extremely helpful and courteous.
The restricted menu, the daily evening drinks restricted to wine and beer, no gym. Overpriced for what you pay.

What an amazing place. It's a boutique 'lodge' with 18 rooms (ie cabins) set in curated woodland and surrounded by natural bush. Central building has bar/restaurant, pool, comfortable outdoor seating area. Parking on site. Walking and mountain bike tracks from the site, walking distance to Nitmiluk Gorge cruises/canoe trips. Breakfast and evening set meals were both delicious, beautifully cooked and presented and with intriguing bush tucker touches. They must have a very inventive (knowledgeable) chef!. Staff were delightful. Cabin was spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed, with balcony overlooking woodland.. For a bit of luxury in the outback, can't recommend this place too highly.
Can't think of a single thing.

'Destination' stay. Experiential/relaxing: great location a few minutes walk from the Katherine Gorge jetty; very well equipped and comfortable self contained cabins; very good restaurant (dinner and breakfast); helpful/obliging staff; managed by Accor. Highly recommended.
Only a minor niggles: the TV free to air wasn't working well [overcome using ABC, SBS streaming services] - it's a fairly remote location. Would have been helpful to know in advance that only a Telstra signal available at the Gorge [booking agencies take note], otherwise phones need wifi calling enabled - the same issue prevails at many hotels in NT outside centres of population.

This is an amazing hotel in a stunning location. A massive thank you to the staff for all of their help. The food and location are stunning. We loved waking up to the dawn chorus and watching the lightning storm from our lodge on the last night of our stay. The staff here do everything to make your stay memorable. Thank you, to the manager for checking us in early, with no issues at all after our early flight. Also particular thanks to Jasmine for looking after us so much during our stay and arranging for us to be transported back to the airport by another staff member after heavy rains made taxis unreliable. Thanks also to Kylie for driving us to the airport. A truly 5 star experience.

Room was spacious and clean. Loved the balcony. Staff were very friendly and helpful, thanks to Jasmin who looked after us so well, nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional and was nice to eat outside (by the pool).
We stayed for 3 nights so to have a fixed menu with the same 4 choices each night. We would have preferred an a la carte menu than having to pay for 3 courses (as nice as they were!).

The staff were so friendly, smiley, helpful and professional. The room was very clean, modern, comfortable, king bed. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast was also a great complimentary addition. Complimentary canapes and drinks on arrival. Refreshing cool pool. A great weekend NT staycay at the gorge.
Only option for dinner was a $125 set menu (which was delicious) but no other options if you didn't fancy spending that much. No view of the gorge from the balcony.
