We had an amazing stay at sea star apartments. The apartments with sea view have an amazing view and lots of space. Fully equipped kitchen and balcony. The pool area is amazing with an infinity pool and beautiful view of Airlie beach. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk into the town. The hill is quite steep so may not be walkable for someone with limited fitness or mobility. However Ubers are only about 10 dollars one way. Special mention to Sharon in reception who made our stay pleasant and comfortable. Sharon went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Uphill back to the apartments. Not an issue if you have any level of decent fitness and full mobility.

The view and location were exceptional. The area is a top wish on the bucket list! Spacious , clean and well equipped apartment, with working facilities, helpful staff . Amazing memories made in this location that will never fade 😀

The walk up the hill!!! But then if we weren’t that high up, the view would not have been as amazing as it was!! Maybe a courtesy bus once a day into the main strip once a day would be welcomed . , but not essential .

The views are amazing, the pool & Spa lovely. Basic equipped kitchen gadgets to cook with. Beds & chair comfy, with working air con & fans. Clean functional space, great having 2 lots of bathrooms. Lift access is great but still a little steep driveway. Parking onsite, bonus for our hire car. Also the lovely staff have a golf buggy they can take you down the hill to meet transfers( found this out)

As it's on a steep one lane hill, most airport/leisure activity transfers mini buses DON'T take you up to the property. If you have any mobility problems this is an issue. Getting a hire car helped. Also internal steps inside the unit. Block out blinds on all fronts facing windows would be good. As both light & heat comes up quickly. Be very hot in summer. Water pressure is very high- makes noises within the in master bedroom. May disrupt light sleepers.

Fantastic views. We particularly loved the balcony. The apartment is extremely well-equipped. We stayed out of school-holiday time and it was very peaceful. We loved the bird life - including the visiting cockatoo - and the swimming pool is very attractive.

It was very stressful getting into the apartment - the opening hours for reception are not as advertised and we had some difficulty in accessing the apartment. Curiously, two of the rooms were locked - we assume that these were the second bedroom and bathroom. It would have been helpful to have had access to the second bathroom. The particulars could usefully have mentioned the very steep hill between the apartments and the town - it was not really possible to walk into Airlie Beach. Finally, we had no significant contact with any staff - so cannot comment upon their friendliness or otherwise.

Good location with a great view of the town and the ocean - although (as is the case with many complexes in Airlie Beach) it is up a fairly steep hill so be prepared or get a taxi back from town. Apartment was definitely spacious enough for two couples with a large lounge/kitchen and nice balcony. In places a little bit "tired" but this didnt detract from a lovely stay at the Sea Star. Nice pool.

Maybe the apartments could be due a bit of modernisation in coming years. The bathrooms are big and spacious and certainly work well but a little bit dated. Air conditioning needed repairing in one of the bedrooms but this was dealt with very promptly by the owners.

The two bedroom apartment with ocean view was absolutely incredible to have while travelling with my parents. The views are unmatched, I cannot say enough about how good it is! Heaps of space, super clean, amazing to have access to the pool from the apartment itself, love that there are two bathrooms, beds were super comfy, we had everything we needed and more.

This property is up a hill, absolutely not a negative – it's actually what makes those amazing views possible but good to know for first time travellers.

The view is spectacular! The apartment is spacious, well-structured, and nicely laid out. It was clean, and we were able to check in an hour early as it was ready. It’s a 15-minute walk to the center and Woolworths, and a 25-minute walk to the Port of Airlie. The walk is definitely worth it since you’ve got the best view from above! They have parking spots, but we didn’t have a car as all the tours we did included pick-up services. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be returning!

The pool was great. They should feature it more in the promotional material. It has a fantastic view and plenty of space for guests.

The basic cooking gear was okay, but a few more cooking utensils and pots and pans, e.g. more knives, a couple of frypans big and small, same with saucepans. I was staying on my own, so got by, but for a two bedroom apartment that slept 4 if you're feeding a family it's a bit restrictive.

Such a great location and the staff were awesome. Allowed us to have an early check-in, which was very convenient (locating from one place to another - check out at 10am, check in at 2pm). Pool was great also.

Lots of stairs. Access to the units, inside the units, into the pool. Might not be the best location for small children (1-2). Bathroom did have hair everywhere. Strange. Might be because of the early check-in (at our request/convenience).

Great 3 bedroom apartment, good size bedrooms, plenty of storage. Views are amazing, being so high up. Apartment is well set up for self catering. The veranda/balcony is lovely for siting out on to enjoy the views. Reception staff are lovely. There isn't much parking, but we managed, as we were two families traveling to meet up for a holiday. Shops like Woolies & bottle shop are near by.

The stairs, 3 flights to our apartment. Lift is only available in one block so if you are unsteady or have a disability please make sure you check with reception staff before you book. There are also 3/4 steps in each apartment from the kitchen, down into the lounge & main bedroom. I did think our apartment needed a deep clean. The floors were very sticky. The bathroom in the ensuite needed the fly screen replacing, it had fallen off, I could see it down below in the garden.
