Besides the obvious convenience of the hotel to the airport, it really is a great Ibis. The rooms are comfortable and I did enjoy my view to the runway. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very inviting with a more than satisfactory menu which allows you to while away the time very comfortably. We were travelling to the international terminal and the hotel does offer a shuttle but we walked over to the domestic terminal and caught the inter-terminal bus which was very easy.

Our one night stay was enjoyable as the room was very quiet and well equipped for a short stay.

We arrived after midnight following an international flight. The direct shuttle bus to the hotel from the international terminal only runs for a few hours in the morning, so we had to use the domestic terminal shuttle and then walk from there. This would be a minor inconvenience for some and a bigger problem for others with less mobility or bearing lots of luggage. There was only one staff member at reception when we arrived, so we had to wait 20 minutes in a queue for checking in which was not ideal. A second team member magically appeared to assist others in the queue after I’d patiently waited 20 minutes for my turn. Perhaps I was grumpy after an 8 hour flight but at the time I thought Ibis could do better.

It took me five minutes to walk from the domestic terminal to the hotel lobby, and then it only took a few minutes for me to get checked in. I liked the complimentary breakfast as well. Room/bathroom was clean and very nice/updated, bed was comfortable, free wifi. I had pasta for dinner in the hotel which was amazing, and I got to sit outside while I was eating it. They also offer a package for people who want to "plane-watch." I was very impressed with my stay.

If I had wanted to leave the property and go anywhere besides the airport, it would have been an expensive cab or uber trip. The airport and the hotel are locked in between nothing and the interstate. It would have been impossible to walk to the city. I highly recommend, but only if you are staying briefly between flights. Also, they have an $8.00 shuttle since the international terminal is farther away (2 kilometers) than the domestic terminal (5 min walk). However, if you take the five minute walk to the domestic terminal, there are multiple free busses that will get you to the international terminal within ten minutes. I did that rather than pay for the hotel shuttle and would recommend to anyone that is able. For context, I had two suitcases and managed it fine by myself.

I was welcomed by a friendly reception team who allowed me to check straight in, despite me arriving a bit early. I was given a lovely room on the 7th floor, with a view of Brisbane CBD in the distance, as well as being able to watch a lot of the planes. No complaints about the room - I had a lovely hot shower and a great night's sleep. WiFi was really fast and reliable. Good menu at the restaurant downstairs.

Having recently stayed at a couple of other airport hotels (big chains) the buffet breakfast and different facilities here weren't quite as varied or luxurious in comparison. For example, there's no pool and sauna here (as far as I know). Nor is there room service. It's still a lovely place to stay overall, especially for just a short layover.

Walking distance from domestic terminal. If you get an official invoice from the Ibis desk showing you have stayed a night then you can get a free Airtrain transfer from the domestic to the international terminal which is very quick in the Airtrain but too far to walk with bags. The Airtrain is a great way to get between Brisbane city and the airport, as it's efficient, reliable, quick and frequent. No need to hire a car! This Ibis room had much more space than we've had in other Ibis stays elsewhere. Very good shower with strong water pressure. A resaonable restaurant and bar at ground level of the Ibis hotel. Helpful staff.

Quite expensive, but probably because of its convenient location at the airport.

The location couldn't be better. You can walk there with a fully laden airport trolley from the domestic terminal. Note - the sign posting for the first part of the walk is pretty much non existent so you might have to ask someone. The staff were great, very helpful. The bed was pretty good if not actually great. There is an airport shuttle which was late on the first trip of the day. Next time I'll just take the trolley option

Airport shuttle was late which was surprising on the first run of the day (4.05 am actually left at a touch after 4.15). The pizza I had at the restaurant was kind of average at best.

Very close to the airport with good parking available ( $40 ). Has a restaurant and bar at the facility so you really don't need to go anywhere else. Rooms were surprisingly spacious and comfortable.

Check in was tediously slow. It was busy and this is not just the Ibis. Didn't have a physical credit card so was told i needed $100 cash? Which I didn't have. Luckily I was travelling with colleagues or I couldn't check in.! The check in procedure at most large hotels is ridiculous. They collect all your details when booked and when you roll up they should have your key ready to go and room already allocated. Instead 7 million buttons need pressing, sign forms, provide details like email, phone etc and scan credit card.

Hazel on reception was amazingly helpful. The room was lovely & clean with a comfortable bed, drinking facilities & and hairdryer! We never heard a door bang or anyone talking all night & had the best nights sleep. This hotel is easy access from the domestic and international airport due to free transport available. We had the next day free before a night flight, so we paid $10 to keep a case at the airport & jumped on the free transport to DFO shopping centre which was great! This is all literally 10 mins away from the IBIS so it’s the perfect location. The food in the hotel restaurant was lovely & again recommend! We would definitely use this hotel again & have recommended it to our daughter too.

Ease of access to airport terminals (short walk to domestic)

Got into the international terminal at 11pm. Hard to get too from there as taxi drivers see it as too short a trip, a bit exhausted to wait for airport bus…could the shuttle service times be extended ?

We were given an accessible room so it was very spacious with large bathroom. Comfortable bed which was needed after a long 2 flights from Honolulu - Sydney - Brisbane. We arrived at midnight and were exhausted.

Had to take a taxi from the airport as our luggage was too heavy to transport, walking from the terminal at midnight. Felt obliged to pay a big tip to the driver for such a short ride. A 24 hour shuttle would be great, as there were a number of people also in the same situation and were checking in at the same time. The check-in took a long time to process when all we wanted was to sleep. This has happened in the past as well. I use hotels frequently and this one takes the longest. Maybe it's their computer software???
