We got the unit on the 37th floor overlooking the botanical garden, river and South Bank. It was a spectacular view all day round. The unit was big with two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a big kitchen and lounge area. The balcony was massive and accessible from each room. The kitchen provided everything required to cook a meal and contained lots of additional storage space. A washing machine (including washing detergent) and a dryer were provided as well. The elevators were modern and fast, and did not have long wait times. The staff was generally friendly, especially Steve, who was very welcoming and solved every enquiry we had. The location of the unit was excellent, and it was easy to get around Brisbane by foot or public transport. There are multiple coffee shops downstairs whose coffee is great.

It was difficult to find a car park when arriving late, as there were only a certain allocated parks for hotel guests. One night, all of these were taken, even though we've paid for parking and were reassured the parks were not overbooked. The money could've been refunded, though. The daily cleaning of the unit should include vacuum cleaning of the floor in the eating area and kitchen, especially since no vacuum cleaner was provided in the unit. However, the towels were changed daily, and the bins were emptied, which was good. All in all, we had a fabulous time and we'd stay there again.

It's was really good. It even has windows that open!!! Do not believe the negative reviews on Google or whatever. I nearly cancelled my booking twice because of them. It is not a 5 star property but it has everything you need. Beds comfortable shower hot and good pressure. Yes it's a bit worn but it is what it is. I was so scared I was going to be charged for paint chips and scuff marks I called reception and took a million photos...none of that was true. The reception was lovely, and its close to everything. The whole of Brisbane is under construction and its a sea of fluorescent orange and yellow. Despite this I had a good night sleep and the reaction was amazing. I can only talk about my room but everything was amazing. I'm so glad I stayed.

Great spot, easy to navigate once inside, comfortable beds

No aircons in bedrooms with near 40 degree heat & lounge room aircon not really cooling any other rooms it wasn’t pleasant. There are fans however the fan in the master bedroom squeaked when on the two higher settings. So could only be used on low when sleeping. The reception wasn’t the easiest to locate. The address on booking.com took you to the car park entrance. Not reception so after driving around the bloke twice as there was no where to park we finally saw a sign. However that was the entrance for hotel guests. The entrance to the hotel for guests is seperate to the actual reception and there is another business between the two and it wasn’t clearly signed anywhere at the guest entrance on where to go. I ended up asking another guest that was entering.

Incredible views!! Being on a high floor I could not get over the views at night. Amazing having a full kitchen to use staff were very friendly having a pool, spa and gym to use and only a 5 minute walk to main street shopping. Rooms were really clean and had super comfortable beds. I slept so well.

Someone threw up off of the balcony into the pool so that ruined that (but it's also schoolies so I don't blame staff for that) The sauna was out of use and one elevator was out of use. The second elevator had a mind of its own at times. But it was still a very fast elevator when it worked haha. Really cool to use but it's hard when you get stuck and can't just push your floor button.

The location was great and close to everything. Great coffee shop outside the reception of Istay. The patio was huge & relaxing and the spa was good after a day of walking. The kitchen had everything you would need including a large fridge. Large TV and lots of channels Beds very comfortable.

Checking in wasn't over-friendly and few issues with paying and the % they charge is ridiculous. I never even got a receipt for my payment. The bathroom was very tiny and hard to use especially the toilet where it was situated. No air conditioning in the bedrooms, which was a bummer. The lift was so slow to access. I was unable to find where to put our rubbish as nothing on the paperwork. Checking out was much better with a friendly staff.

The location was central to Queen Street Mall and many transport options. The room was nice and big with a large balcony. The balcony had a partial view of the Brisbane River and the Storey Bridge. All requests were attended to quickly and efficiently.

Some construction noise because of the Albert Place Cross River Rail Station, it is temporary construction and sure to improve the transport options in Brisbane. They are replacing the lifts at the moment and sometimes there was a delay, but also temporary and will be more efficient when completed, we were informed of this when we checked in.

Central city location made getting around so easy. The pool, gym etc were amazing. Paid $30 for mid day check out. One block from Starbucks and Subway next door. Big balcony, king sized bed, huge kitchen and an amazing amount of bedroom storage via mirrored sliding doors. Great amount of natural lighting. Casting to the tv was so easy to listen to Spotify and watch a movie.

Marks on the walls, needs a nice scrub. Also the seal around the shower needs replacing, ended up with a nice bath outside the shower also.

The gentleman on the night shift was beyond helpful and so pleasant to talk to if only i could find a staff member in the plumbing industry of his human decency and basic nature and as wife arrived and also checked on her own with kids as I was at work the staff went above and beyond to ensure she was assisted in any way possible we continue our one night stay a further 4 and will continue to return weekly. Through out the next few months as rooms are fantastic size and value and all management and counter staff made us feel so comfortable and understanding

The staff were extremely helpful & kind! The one bedroom apartment was so nice and cozy! The king bed was sooooo comfy and soft felt like I was asleep on a cloud. The view was amazing! And was literally down the road from the new casino!!

Was a bit tricky finding the reception only because it’s next to an extremely busy coffee shop! Was a bit tricky finding the private car parking but we found it to be easy access afterwards.

Location is hard to beat - we visited for a night from interstate to see a concert at the Riverstage. Easy, fast walk there with plenty of food & drink options nearby, plus the walks along the river. The front reception team were responsive and helpful. The beds were super comfy, a large apartment with excellent views from the 32nd floor. We didn't have time to use the pool or other facilities.
