Very well managed & maintained, clean and comfortable accommodation with a lovely pool, outdoor, (covered) dining area and a large barbeque. Located just a stone's throw from the beach within a quiet residential neighbourhood. Not too far from a Cafe, (approx. 5 minutes on foot) Woolworths, bottle shop & pub, (approx.15 - 20 on foot). Property management and staff members were friendly, helpful, professional and kind. Especially recommended for couples!

After 11 days of motel rooms travelling from Melbourne to FNQ, we were thrilled to have a spacious apartment with full kitchen facilities, a proper lounge / dining area, two balconies, and laundry facilities! The location is quiet, very relaxing and a stone’s throw from the beach. And what a magnificent beach, all 14 kms of it!!! Mission Reef Resort is a small two-storey resort with under-cover parking, a small pool (unheated) and a popular outdoor spa. The plants and gardens are lovely. Managers/Owners are lovely, very helpful and friendly. Our apartment had nearly everything you could want or need, it was very comfortable. Decor is not the most modern but it is fine. Bed was very comfy, we slept well. Shower is good, hairdryer is old, time for an update! Was so nice to be able to wash our clothes. Could not find a laundry basket to put wet clothes into, that would be very useful. No tissues or face washers supplied - BYO. Cafes & restaurants are not within walking distance, but only a short drive away. However, you can walk to Woolworths & pharmacy.

This is a great property - rooms are spacious and are equipped with a kettle, microwave, mini fridge and kitchen items (cutlery, plates, etc). Each room has individually controlled aircon and fans which keep it very comfortable. Rooms are clean and it's very quiet. The pool area has a bbq and lounge chairs and is well maintained. It's an easy drive to Mission Beach or a longer walk on the beach to get to the restaurants. There's a large Woolworths ~5 min drive away. The beach is across the street - less than a 5 min walk. There's also a small splash pool area and skate park across the street in the park.

Wifi isn't super fast but it gets the job done. Would be great if there was more on-site parking, can get a bit full at night but I was always able to find a spot.

Good location by the beach, easy to get to from the greyhound bus stop. Leanne & Mark were so welcoming and friendly! We had some issues with the people in the room next to us, but the owners were very helpful and apologetic (even though it shouldn’t be them apologising)! There were also a couple of bikes organised by an external company that you can hire, a fair price for good bikes (AUD $30 ish each for the day). The room was spacious and well equipped. Also, it would have been a really quiet and peaceful location without the guests next to us. Great value for money if you don’t want a hostel!

Nothing in particular - we would definitely be staying again if we were back in mission beach.

We hadn't realised that we had booked a rather small motel room and, after two nights, Leanne and Lyn managed to arrange for us to upgrade to an apartment which made a huge difference. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, especially the spaciousness of the apartment. Whilst we didn't swim in the lovely pool, we greatly appreciated that we could have! It was a great base for us to explore the area, including the extraordinary Paronella Park and the Mamu Skywalk - attractions not to be missed if you are in the vicinity!

WiFi could do with improvement.

Lovely outdoor area which we use throughout our stay. Great BBQ facilities and area. Small but attractive pool area,which we did not use. Too cold for us in July! Our studio room was rather small but serviceable. Everything worked well and was clean. Very helpful and friendly managers. Close to the beach.

Our studio room was rather small but it was okay for a three night stay. I would not recommend this room type for a longer stay. The spacious one bedroom apartments are a much better buy for the extra money.

Clean, comfortable room. Large bathroom, comfy bed. Our double room had a kettle, fridge and microwave as well as dishes, glassware, silverware, dish towel, and dish detergent. It made eating in our room very convenient. Enjoyed the balcony. Lovely place to have coffee in the morning. Very convenient location. Quick walk to Wongaling Beach. Short ride to South Mission Beach and Mission Beach. Also very close to Woolworths when we needed a few groceries for the room. Would definitely stay there again.

Shame the pool wasn’t heated

Love the size of the room and the ability for my daughter to have her daytime reat whilst we could chill out in the lounge room The spa was a bonus as the pool was a tad too cold

Good location, huge bed, good value for money, pool looked great although we didn’t use it, they had tonnes of dvds and books to choose from. Room was pretty clean!

Wi-Fi wasn’t very good in our room and we were only given one mug so had to take turns having a tea/ coffee 😅 Reception appeared to always be locked, we never saw any staff, collected our key from a box outside reception so unsure how this would’ve worked if we had any issues.

We had a great stay at Mission Reef Resort. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The apartment block is lovely and well maintained with everything you need for a comfortable stay- including a communal bbq, pool and plenty of info on the local area. Our room was clean and comfortable, with the quietest aircon we’ve found!

I think Mission Beach is best explored fully if you have a car- but we found the property walkable distance to the shops, cafes, greyhound bus stop as well as the beaches etc with the local taxi a great and efficient service when we wanted to venture further out.
