My husband and I were walking the Great Southern Rail Trail, so Fish Creek was one of our overnight stays. It is about 150m off the trail, so very convenient for hikers and cyclists. We had a motel type room out the back of the hotel which was dated, but comfortable and had everything that we needed. Bed was comfortable (but the old wooden light board needs to be removed, as you cant sit up and relax in bed), TV a good size, shower was hot with good pressure. Car park is right outside door, however we didnt use this. We felt safe in the motel and walking around the town. Just one point: the place is haunted. At 4am, our TV unexpectedly turned on for about 1 minute, before just as unexpectedly turning back off again. We were dozing in bed at the time with the remote on the side table, and neither of us turned it on! There are rumours that a spirit walks the main pub, but this happened in the motel room 2. Super weird. We enjoyed our stay here and the pub restaurant food, although not cheap, was very tasty! We would stay here again.

Motel room was a bit dated, but everything was clean and tidy.

Excellent value. Very friendly staff who were willing to store our cold food in the hotel fridge (in the absence of a customer fridge). The evening food in the restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed Caesar Salad, Seafood Linguini, Parmi and Vegan Curry (the latter served with apple sauce!)

It would be great to have communal coffee / tea making facilities. The room was clean with crisp sheets and comfy pillows, but had ancient metal windows with potential to be draughty.

The Art Deco Hotel is beautiful from the outside and well maintained inside. The food is excellent and great value for money. Being Coeliac they were very accommodating. The staff are young and friendly and were very helpful. The accommodation behind the hotel is retro style motel. It could do with updating but it is adequate for purpose and economical in price. It was spotlessly clean. The township is delightful and great little variety of shops.

The rooms are a bit dark.

Being able to upgrade our old style hotel room with shared bathroom for a self contained room for our remaining 2 nights.

We didn't t realise we d booked an older style hotel room without a fridge, jug n cutlery n crockery n needing to use a shared bathroom until we arrived. But after a bustmy booked out Saturday night we upgraded our booking and all was then OK by us. We would ve liked a table n chairs to sit and eat though

A great regional pub which delivers. Set in a beautiful location if offers everything that you would expect from a pub stay. A great bar with pool table, a large dining room with menu that caters for all, local wines to taste and great staff. They were all really friendly. Check in was a breeze Rooms are small and basic but clean. Bathrooms are shared but clean and typical of a pub stay. Note breakfast not provided.

Nothing I didn't like.

I enjoyed a fantastic dinner, drinks and desert after a huge day of travelling and a week of camping out in my car. I was so looking forward to a good cooked meal, a hot shower and a comfy bed and thats exactly what I got. The staff were all sensational, couldn't speak more highly of the customer service and friendly smiles. And thanks for the birthday wishes and candle on my absolutely delish sticky date pudding! Also, i was able to log into the wifi to check in on work for an hour, and that was handy, got a little done. I loved the beautiful old hotel and will be back with a friend who is now keen to come for a stay ! Thanks and warmest, Linda :) .

A few plumbing issues, toilet. Tap in hand basin needs a new washer and shower head wouldn't stay in place...but small world issues..it was manageable and didn't upset my stay at all....oh also, you need a better rum on offer haha. May I suggest Kraken or Sailor Jerry's?

Helpful staff.Stayed in motel room. Room clean. Room old style but I like that retro feel. Bed was comfy. The doona cover was pretty and fresh, nice thick doona. Loved the back door with the grassy view. Love the quaint shops.

The board above the bed with the lights in it. I hit my head several times when getting into bed and also couldn't sit up in bed. Hubby hit his head on the square bits sticking out. Spoiled an otherwise nice room. Ditch it and get a couple of bedside lamps!

We stayed with 2 kids at fish creek hotel for one day. Hotel is at very good location coupled with welcoming staff and nice food. Hotel room was warm and cosy with Air conditioner and extra heater was also provided.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at hotel and would definitely stay at same place whenever we plan our travel next at fish creek.

It would be good if some renovation can be done for the tiles in the room.

Price was exceptional. The rooms were thoughtfully decorated and spotlessly clean, as were the shared bathroom facilities. It was great that there was a restaurant onsite. There was a roaring fire and a comfortable place to sit prior to dinner. Great range of local ales/wine. We have stayed here before and will return.

No major issues and the facilities are well within the expectations of the price, however, an extra charging point/socket for phones would be useful, as lamps and heater could not be used at the same time as charging.

I ate in house. We own a house in Yanakie, not far from Fish Creek, but it's inhabitable at the moment. We've been coming here for 50 years, and the food has never been as good as it is now. It's not the cheapest, but it makes up for that for the massive portion sizes and amazing food. I had the greatest linguine I have ever had in my entire life!
