The Hotel Bellinzona is a very cool, boutique hotel in Daylesford located 5 minutes from the main shops of town and 3 minutes from the Hepburn Springs Reserve and Bathhouse. They have a heated pool, spa and sauna at the hotel which is a main reason for our stay. It was family friendly and I enjoyed the beautiful view of the gardens while soaking in the spa. The restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner. The food and service were excellent. The rooms at the Bellinzona are spacious with a large TV.

The hotel was great but I would have liked to see it decorated for Christmas. The staff were polite but I would have liked a bit more enthusiasm for our welcome to feel a bit more special. And finally the hotel was clean but I think they can pick it up a notch to make it spotless.

We spent a glorious 2 nights at Hotel Bellinzona. We initially booked a balcony room and then requested to change to a loft room, which the hotel managed to accommodate (via the booking.com customer service), and for which we were so grateful. The loft room was lovely and quiet and overlooked the bush, with birds right outside our window. The room was bigger than expected and we enjoyed the pool and spa (although the pool was pretty chilly!). We had a few drinks in the lobby lounge one of the nights, and the bartender was great. The grounds are beautiful and we would definitely return for another stay!

The pool wasn't heated.

Rooms are very nice and clean. The heating was just right. Bed super comfortable. The best part of the hotel is the pool. Big, super warm pool, with jacuzzi and sauna. And it was not crowded. The whole family had fun at the pool. The outside garden is also very nice area for rest or stoll.

This hotel used to have an entertainment room with a table tennis and pool table, as well as board games in the past. There was a fire place and a lot of books to read. Now that area is converted into a conference room. Pity it's gone. Maybe the management can consider getting it back in future. With that entertainment room and pool and outdoor garden, there was almost no reason to leave the hotel.

The hotel was very nicely refurbished and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the barman was always really inviting and happy to see people. We sat in the comfy lounge to have cocktails during the happy hour which was a definite highlight as there were ample leather armchairs and big fireplaces. The rooms were comfy and clean. The pool, spa bath and sauna were great to have access to and we didnt feel the need to go down to the bathhouse this time after using them. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and were very surprised about how good the food was.

The walls are a bit thin so you could hear other guests at certain times in the morning. Also I would have loved if the bar/restaurant had beers on tap, as bottled beers just aren't as good. The rooms could do with power sockets by the beds as well.

We were gob smacked!!! The whole hotel had the appearance of an old school hotel appearance that has been renovated to last another 50 years! Fantastic views of the surrounding mountains, magnificent garden with water fountain. The Virgin Kitchen that serves meals, snacks and local beverages We booked in for one night only. After checking in, went out to the garden and have a snack and chilled around the water fountain under the umbrellas. Used the indoor pool/ spa/ sauna area (reserved for room bookings only). Then we had dinner at The Virgin Kitchen and chilled in the salon/ lounge area. I regret not booking for two nights!

Amazing hotel! From the friendly staff to the incredible decors and style throughout the building, to walking around the grounds, everything was perfect. The room we stayed in (loft) was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. We had dinner at the Virgin Kitchen and wow….the food was delicious. The wait staff were fantastic and huge compliments to the chef! Have already recommended Hotel Bellinzona to friends and family. We will be coming back 100%

Charming period hotel with lots to offer. We spent three nights in late September and everything was perfect. We stayed in a traditional studio room and it was quite spacious for the two of us with a nice view of the fountain outside. We had both breakfast and lunch onsite and enjoyed cocktails in the bar lounge on Saturday evening in front of the fireplace. The bathhouse was nice and the pool was the perfect temperature. It was a beautiful weekend weatherwise, so we also were able to enjoy the gardens on site. All hotel staff were very nice and accommodating, in particular the two gentlemen who work the front reception were both very friendly and hospitable. This hotel is a true gem.

Nothing, everything was fantastic

The gentleman at Reception was lovely - welcoming, attentive and professional at all times. A great ambassador for the hotel. The room and facilities were clean and nicely upholstered. The shower was a well-designed, ample space. The bed was large and very comfortable.

Returning to the hotel at the end of the day, the bedroom and bathroom had noticeable cooking odours which eventually went away after I ran the aircon fan. I would have appreciated having the Reception phone number on a handy card on the bedside table, however I think all of the guest information was on the tv screen, if one chose to flick through all the options. The staff in the Kitchen restaurant were friendly, however the wait for someone to take my order was long enough that I eventually left my seat to ask for service. The pudding was delicious ( however not sure that it met the description of Panettone in the menu listing). One of the staff was noticeably loud, his voice could be heard over guests conversation at the back of the restaurant.

Location and ambience.The hotel is well located with easy access to Daylesford and surrounding areas.Did not eat in the restaurant in the evening but had breakfast which was very good.Bed was very comfortable.Front desk staff very polite and welcoming.

Lobby bar wasn’t open and all drinks had to be ordered via the restaurant staff.Luckily the weather was nice so the outside seating area was welcoming instead. Cleanliness of the shower area needs attention as there was black mould in the tile grout which slightly spoilt the appearance.I find this a really annoying with many hotels as it’s such an easy fix … a light spray of bleach will normally do the trick ,how hard can it be ? The main car park is across the road .. not a major problem .. but be aware of this.Also the reception is up a flight of stairs so heavy luggage may be a problem.
