Newly renovated. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Quality linen and comfy bed. Beautiful views. Quiet and serene. Coonara fireplace and wood & fire starters provided - great touch! Loved chatting to the llamas and goats, and feeding a visiting rosella on the deck. Great communication w owner, contactless check in was a breeze.

It was all perfect! The only misgiving was that there was no hairdryer, but that was really neither here nor there.

Amazing location for a relaxing time with family and friends, it has beautiful views of Lake Eildon and a lot of open spaces for a peaceful walk or fun and games with children.

The rooms look quite dated and need some TLC to be comfortable, but considering the recent rains the approach road and its washed out condition is still acceptable.

One of the nicest, most peaceful places I've stayed. Each chalet is really well placed for privacy and a stunning view. As far as I could tell, none of the chalets overlooked any of the other ones. Waking up to a mountain and lake view from your bed is magic. Huge bathroom with spa and separate toilet. Plenty to do close by (walks, lake, towns, brewery, etc.) if you can tear yourself away from the chalet balcony. Great kitchenette. Decent sized fridge. Excellent hot water service. Very cheap rates for what you get.

Lighting could have been a little brighter in kitchen and lounge. Not a big issue though, as there was a reading lamp.

Stayed for 3 night with the cat and dog. Chalets very clean. Absolutely mesmerising views. Only got thru 2 chapters of my book. Beautiful walks around the property. Lovely caretakers. Goats. Chooks. Birds. Kangaroos. Breathtaking scenery. Enjoyed it and already rebooked for 6 weeks time. Highly recommended.

The bed was a bit hard.

We spent 5 nights in one of the chalets, the view was stunning.Our furbaby had a ball. Earl and staff were friendly and helpful. Coming back when weather warmer to use the pool Bed comfortable, great pressure in shower.

Personally I had a hard time walking up/down gravel driveway

The place was great, wonderful view of the mountains and the lake, waking up seeing the fog moving and the kangaroos roaming. Enjoyed the tennis court and the fire pit. Communications was great, with contactless checkin. Fully-equipped large kitchen, clean sheets, pet-friendly, enough private space so that you don't encroah on other guests even though the place is fully-booked.

The wifi is not as strong, but that is a good thing! Gets the kids enjoying the outdoors 😊 the pool and trampoline were out of order during our stay though

Peaceful farm outlook with beautiful view of Lake Eildon

Access road perhaps has a bit of wash out, in recent times, Perhaps, a little maintenance would greatly improve the drive. That said, consider this is part of a farm, it is still acceptable.

I think the place has plenty of potential,however simple things like the sports equipment need upgrading.There was only one tennis ball and the basketball was flat.The kids enjoyed the trampoline.The bon fire was a nice experience too.It was ashame the pool wasnt working.I wish there was bikes available to ride.I also wished that there was lights avaible at night or at least be warned to bring your own light.The laundry room needs an upgrade too.Overall it was an enjoyable stay and appreciate the rustic feel of the place.It would be nice if there were places you could sit around the property,or seats available or picnic rugs.The place has beautiful views with close by fishing areas.20-25mins away from town centre.

The environment is incredibly serene and relaxing, close enough to Mansfield for easy access. The bed in the Amber Chalet is super comfy, view is spectacular, and they have bath sheets!! ( not the standard little towels) Everyone is very friendly and works to remedy problems quickly. Cottages are in excellent condition for their age. It's like stepping back into a perfectly preserved 1980s house. Bathroom is huge and water pressure in the shower is fabulous. Dogs are allowed which is wonderful, and we enjoyed walking our pup around the property. There's a swimming pool which looks well maintained although we didn't swim . We'd definitely visit again.

Management was a bit disorganised, we got our check in info late and the key we were issued didn't fit our cottage but these things were quickly remedied and overall ccommunication was excellent. The couch is not at all comfy for relaxing on is my only gripe. It's a very firm sofa bed with no give.

We stayed for 2 nights at one of the chalets in The Black Sparrow for our anniversary weekend. We absolutely loved the view of the lake Eildon from the spacious balcony, the house has a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom, hall and balcony with bbq. Another highlight is the indoor spa!
