Spacious comfortable room, (Room 1) huge bathroom with double shower and perfect location. Easy to find, good parking and very quiet. Lovely outdoor setting available too. We had a kettle, fridge, microwave and big tv.

We did speak on the phone day before arrival and stated 2pm for check in. Arrived at 215pm and room wasn't ready and asked to come back in around half an hour. We did, still had to wait just a little longer. She was apologetic but we were tired and ready for a shower so to have to be asked to go off and get ourselves a coffee or something was just a little annoying. It was just about 3pm when we got in our room.

York Accommodation is situated in the main street opposite the Town Hall and an easy stroll to museums, cafes and quirky shops. The rooms are refurbished and comfortable. Bed was great and parking is easy and secure. Rooms are quiet and have a separate verandah making an evening wine or cup of tea a treat. The host was wonderful, friendly and responsive.

Bathrooms are modern and very nicely presented. Unfortunately the shower is a little too open and sprays water widely.

Fantastic location on the Main Street. had all the facilities we needed, and little additional touches as well like tissues and face washers, the only accommodation that has provided them. Stacy was very friendly and welcoming and happy to provide assistance. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, bathroom and toiletries were good, and towels were very good quality. We were lucky to have Room 2 on the side of the house with the garden and it was lovely to have a table and sit outside.

Location was right on the main road, so close to all attractions, but still peaceful. Amenities such as oven and microwave and fantastic rain shower in a large bathroom made for a very comfortable stay. Great value and the host Stacy was friendly and communicative.

Nothing which impacted our stay in a negative way. Stacy made sure we felt free to contact her if we needed anything, but we had everything needed for a peaceful and relaxing stay after sightseeing each day.

All round lovely place to stay. Can't fault anything about it. Owner very friendly. Fridge in room, tea/coffee facilities, complimentary milk and bottled water. Peaceful location with beautiful gardens. Will definitely stay again as we have family in York.

There was nothing to dislike

Great location - literally opposite the town hall and imperial, very clean, warm, had great charm and perhaps this sounds weird but the sheets/towels smelled amazing. The manager was super friendly and very helpful.

Floor drain in the bathroom had an odour, could see the water sitting in the pipe. There are two shower heads but can only really use one, hot water couldn't cope with two. It's an old cottage so nothing unexpected really.

The accomodation was very cosy, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect as food and cafes were all within walking distance. The bathroom was ultra-modern and a pleasure to use. The basics were also included (toilet rolls, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, hand creme, wipes) and a welcome surprise.

The kitchenette only had a kettle and could have included a toaster or microwave, but this is a minor gripe.

Good size, pretty carpet, well insulated, huge bathroom with two showers, good disability features. Table & chairs on terrace gave options to sit. Location was easy walk to town but still quiet.

In the second room we had the two steps down to the bathroom were a trip hazard.

Very welcoming hosts. Great location for Main Street. Was the perfect getaway and spot to attend the canola classic bike ride. They even provided a tarp to put your bike inside! Comfortable beds, clean and plenty of space. Definitely stay again. 😊

We love staying at Lavender House - it's under new management, but still offering beautifully clean and well appointed rooms at an amazing price. The beds are so comfortable and the whole place has a relaxing vibe. The rooms smells amazing too.
