Great and quiet location, clean and modern rooms, a lot of parking spaces. Excellent and various diners, we stayed for 6 night and every evening diner was different(it's also possible to choose main course).

Smoking is a real issue as was already mentioned in previous reviews. Balconies are located next to each other and every evening and morning you're falling asleep and waking up in the smoke. At the same time you can't sleep with closed windows/doors to the balcony(hot and high CO2 level) since there are no ventilation/airco in the rooms (what is expected though).

The "extra" towels can be improved or the hours of the sauna and pool (we wanted to take to the thermals and you can in additional fee to receive another towel) Besides this - excellent

the hotel is in good location, the view from the balcony is amazing, the bad and the pillows are great, the guy in the reception is nice, the breakfast was awesome and the coffee machine is great. the hotel is new and designed beautifully.

I'll have to admit that it was very annoying that the pool is already closed at 7pm, and we couldn't use it because we weren't that early in the evening in the hotel, and the "indoor" pool is very very very small and not heated at all, you can't count it as a pool. some nights were very hot and there isn't an air conditioning or fan. we tried to open the door to the balcony and ended up with lots of mosquitoes inside the room. there isn’t fridge.

The staff was very cute, Very comfortable rooms,the hotel is new with a balcony,very nice place and view. If you have kids it's a bonus to be in this place,a whirlpool great,real bunny you can touch it's really great.a good breakfast,a good coffee. Thanks so much.

This is a relatively new and modern hotel and situated in a beautiful and quiet rural area above St Johan and well run by Raymond.The staff are very friendly and effective. The rooms are very clean and well equipted with nice bedding and the breakfast is basic but well prepared and adequite. They even cooked oats porridge for us on request ! They also provide a very nice dinner. Alternatively there us a very good restaurant , Oberforsthofalm , just 3 minutes down the road. We really enjoyed our stay at Der Alpenblick.

The only thing that bothered us was the loud closing of the door to our corridor and the outside door leading to the car park( not the entrance door). We stayed in room 112. I'am however sure that this could be solved by the management.

Great stay and nice staff. Nice room with balcony and desk and a big bathroom. The breakfast buffet was very good.

My only point is that I wish the sauna and pool are available in the morning before check-out. We arrived late and both were closed already and only the pool was usable from 11am in the morning. Luckily the staff let me stay a bit longer and use it.

The manager was nice and helpful. Pleasant staff. Clean rooms. Great view. Good location. The breakfast was nice (can also be served outside with the beautiful views and fresh air). No air conditioner but not really needed (just open the door of the terrace for some natural cool air for two minutes, that was enough for us, in July..). Elevator of course. An available free parking lot.

Basically nothing...maybe adding some non-pork meat based food (for muslim visitors like myself).

Amazing hotel. Great location. Great views. Clean and comfortable rooms. Bathrooms were super clean as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel manager was a gem of a person and very very professional. He would reach out to us every morning to check on us during breakfast and would recommend places to visit to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very child friendly. For all those with an electric car, you can easily charge the car here.

We stayed at 'Der Alpenblick' for 4 nights. We absolutely loved the location, it's remote and at the same time very close to the ski lift in Alpendorf and very close to Sankt Johann im Pongau. We found out they have renovated the location while being closed due to COVID, so everything smelled of new and fresh wood :) I do believe the available places in the Saunas are not enough for the number of guests there were but maybe it was just because it was high season. The rooms are very clean and so is the spa area (big plus for the outside heated pool). Breakfast was amazing. A suggestion to the hotel owner would be maybe to switch to a 7AM breakfast start during ski season so people can have breakfast and be early on the slopes :) Highly recommend!

One of the best location with beautiful views, clean rooms and great breakfast. The staff is very friendly and extremly welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and the beautiful views, specially the views from the pool and the delicious cookies at the reception made by the owner's wife. It was such a nich stay that we want to come back one day.
