Clean, quiet, excellent service, beautiful location . Were given a cable car card for the whole family. The rooms had a great view and smelled great on arrival (not a cheap detergent smell). My wife and I are hotel snobs- this one is one of the best alpine hotels we’ve stayed in. Simple yet clearly well-loved and well-run. The outside eating area was amazing with a view on a playground and mountains in the background.

Nothing, but I wonder if you ever need A/C. There doesn’t seem to be one. However, given the elevation and climate, there may never be a day when you really need an a/c.

What an amazing experience! The location is perfect, near ski resort (10min drive) and 30min drive from the airport. The room was very clean with stunning views of the mountains. Great restaurant located at hotel. We had breakfast and dinner here every day of our stay and it was really delicious! Everything was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely come back to this hotel if we come to Austria again. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing stay at Dorfcafe Unken Hotelpension! Everything was superb - from the cozy atmosphere to the delicious breakfast and meals at the restaurant. The hostess was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The hotel is in the traditional Austrian style, in a quaint, picturesque village. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the room is well equipped has everything you need. The staff here are fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, which offers delicious, hearty food and drink at good prices.

There is a bell in the village that starts ringing from around 0700. This may bother some people.

Spacious rooms, courteous staff, great restaurant. Nestled in the Austrian Alps a short drive from Germany, this is a great location away from the busy cities. Great views and people await here in Unken. It's proximity to Salzburg and Berchtesgaden mean you can enjoy the Austrian countryside and hospitality, while the cities and sites are not far away. The area itself has a wealth of hiking and bike paths providing for a rewarding local stay which I got only the barest introduction to this time.

This was my group's first time staying in such a place; we were expecting a check-in desk more than a home environment. I will recommend this as a stay for folks looking for a slower atmosphere with authenticity.

If anything bothered anyone in the group, it was the church bells. These seem to be normal across German and Austria, but 1 guy didn't appreciate them going off every 15 minutes. We could find no other faults with this location.

In a small village not that far from Salzburg, everything you could want in a calm, peaceful stay and meal. All the staff were warm and friendly and well accomplished in English. Chef knew what he was doing too!

A lovely quiet place where people come to eat (great chef!) mostly in the evenings but this doesn't disturb at all. Very friendly hardworking staff, always smiling, excellent rich breakfast, lovely garden around... We had a spacy room with a comfortable bed with light feather duvets, so good sleep is certain. Info center is just round the corner, a nice lady recommended us great hiking options. So the stay was absolutely formidable and Dorfcafe was a good choice. THANKS!
