The hostel's location is great. An easy walk from the bus station and right next to a metro line so taking public transit into the center and back is super convienient. The food and neighborhood around the hostel is also cool. If you want to check out the Belvedere museum its a quick walk. The kitchen is also really nice and great for cooking your own meals. Theres also a vending machine if you want to buy snacks and beers.

A lot of people really like the automated function of this hostel, however I found it a bit annoying. For example, if your phone dies or you don't have data, to check in you would be screwed if you didn't look at their emails before arriving. I also didn't like the codes for the beds. It's easy to use, but I worried about possibly getting locked in if say I closed the door all the way and accidentally slept through the checkout time; At checkout time you're immediately locked out of everything and have to use the check out code they email you. There's zero staff so I found myself helping people to check in because they were confused and if they employed a receptionist this wouldnt have been an issue

The best part is that each bed is in a "pod" with a lockable, sliding door. This means it's effectively your locker for the day, and super private at night. It's right by the train station, and next door to a supermarket (shops are shut on Sundays!).

It would be slightly better if there was at least one member of staff on site. I think the local homeless population are aware that there is no one in authority onsite, and they can sometimes try to sneak in behind you through the locked doors. This is fortunately very rare.

Easy check in online with clear info. Luggage storage was very useful when arriving. Location is perfect, right next to Wien hbf and u-bahn station.

There were no separate lockers in shared room. You could lock your stuff in the bed, that had lockable doors ad during the day it's fine, but at night it's annoying to have your luggage on the bed with you.

It’s in a convenient location, bed was comfortable, great wifi, clean, useable kitchen in the front. Lots of privacy for the beds. It’s got quirky decor by the lounge area.

My request for bottom bunk bed was not accommodated. The dorm is pretty tight. I can’t imagine when it’s high season with the beds filled up and the bathroom and toilets are consistently occupied. Bathroom needs a tray in the showers to place your shower needs like shampoo etc. We should be able perform the digital check in at anytime rather than wait til check in time. The bed codes can be sent at check in time.

I really liked the hostel. Self-check-in is great, especially if you are coming late (like we). We booked a bedroom for 2 (+baby). it had basic stuff, but for us was enough. Toilets and showers are super clean! Kitchen also...and it has everything you could need for cooking....It is also big, we spent some time there after we checked out. We had to contact their online help, and they were readily available and very kind and helpful. Location was very good, we walked from there all the way to the center, it's not that far, and it is a nice walk. We were there on Sunday, and the shop on the train station was open (which is like 5min away). But on weekdays there is one next door. I would definitely stay there again.

The hostel was clean, secure, and conveniently located just 1 min from the metro, providing easy access to public transport. The atmosphere was calm, and most of the facilities were automated, making the stay even more comfortable.

The kitchen and common area close at midnight. The bed and pillows weren’t the most comfortable, and there’s no air conditioning. However, for me, this wasn’t an issue due to the nice weather and the two windows in the room. I recommend completing the check-in process before arrival, as it can take a few minutes, which might be frustrating if you’re tired!

there were issues with self check in, which didnt work for me for a few attempts, so i was literally afraid of perspective to sleep on the street, well, after a dozen or so attempts it finally gave me codes for the room and bunk, so i was saved but be ready that there is no staff at the reception at all, except janitors who clean kitchen and rooms in the morning but all in all, kitchen is good, you have fridge and can cook if you come late or dont want to eat out there is a bila shop at ~20 meters, so you can buy food there, and location at the railways station and metro is very convenient, capsules, of course are not helping when somebody snoring, and they lack lockers for your stuff, but its possible to put bags inside of capsule, plus as always they dont have pegs for cloth, all these small things, that you dont care about when staying for one night, but come needed when your stay longer

self-checkin without backup

I was initially nervous about being in a self service location so close to a train station but honestly this place was one of the most comfortable places I've ever stayed. There is such a sense of security in the multiple passcode access doors (3 between the world and your luggage when you're out and 2 when you are asleep.) The kitchen has all the basics including a stove, making self catering very easy. Bathrooms are out in the halls but all are individual rooms; shower rooms even having a dry space out of the cubicle for dressing and storage. (My personal peeve is wetroom showers.) Bedrooms are interesting; the bunks are closer to sleeping capsules with their sliding (lockable during the day) doors. Surprisingly spacious that they fit my massive suitcase and myself (5'3) comfortably. I honestly and surprisingly felt so safe and slept so well in the wooden box. It's probably not the best if you get claustrophobic but you can leave the door open if you like and it's no different to any other hostel.

The rooms/sleeping cubicles get quite warm so it's tempting to leave the windows open on the first floor. It's safe enough but can be quite loud at night (or early morning if a strange man decides to start singing in the park at 5am)

Really great hostel that gives you access to the secure common room to settle in/wait until the check-in time with a very straight forward self check-in system. Common room was kept very clean and the shared fridge/kitchen was kept organised and labelled by everyone. This is a great hostel in an ideal location right next to Südtiroler Platz metro station that takes you right into the city centre.

Only negative of my stay was that the rooms don’t have secure storage lockers, so I was forced to keep my bag pack in the cabin whilst sleeping which didn’t have enough space.

Great location, close to the train and U-bahn stations. The red line took us to the city center in minutes, and we walked there a couple times too, just to enjoy the city streets. Good communication and clear instructions were provided. The place is clean, but some people were messy, leaving pools of water in the showers, so make sure you bring flip flops. I loved chilling in the common area, it is very cozy, also has a fridge, a stove with supplies necessary for cooking, various dishes, and a vending machine. Our train was leaving a few hours after check out time, and it got delayed, so an opportunity have access to a luggage storage/common area room was the most valuable feature. The bed was comfy and the room temperature was comfortable, to rest and prepare for more sightseeing. We did not use a fan, but it was also provided. Wonderful inn, and I recommend it to fellow travelers!

Our room had a bed, a mirror, some wall hooks and a small table. Would be nice to also have a chair or some kind of a stool.
