Great location with a relaxed casual vibe. Just around the corner from the Opera House and central square. Walking distance to the river and markets. On the weekend we were there (maybe every weekend?), a block away, they closed the road and had stalls set up where you could buy food and drink and sit. It was busy with locals and great for people watching. Hotel was decorated in a fun quirky style. This used to be a large private home back in the day and while it's showing it's age, it was just what we were looking for - - affordable and cheerful. Casual common areas that were inviting to sit and relax with spouse/friends/others staying there. These common areas were comfortable with cushioned seating where you could lounge in the sun or shade, or inside. The breakfast area, in the walkout basement offered a nice selection for a small hotel. You could sit inside or stroll out and eat in the small garden/pool area. Our high ceilinged room was simple but met our needs. Air Con worked well. Fridge worked well. Room was quiet. Very basic, not modern, but clean. Close to a few restaurants. One of which was excellent and we went to twice!

Perfect location. Stylish hotel with amazing atmosphere of historical heritage. Many lovely vintage details in combination with modern facilities. Very clean and tidy! Exceptionally friendly and highly professional personnel.

My friend and me stayed in a twin room with one double bed and one single bed (this was the only option available for us as we wanted to share the same room but with separate beds). Although the double bed was amazing, the single bed was absolutely uncomfortable (I do hope it will be replaced). During the breakfast many delicious local things were served (everything of a high quality!), but it seemed to be too little, and though it was probably regularly refilled, I was feeling like I was taking the last piece. I missed warm food, too.

Hotel very charming and historic-"funky". Fun corners to discover. Wonderful staff; very helpful new employee Tiago. The breakfast was not very appealing but everything else was fun. Super great location; felt safe and in the middle of old city Manaus which was charming.

Breakfast was a little weird and the coffee really not very good, which surprised us.

The location was excellent, very close to the Teatro (opera house) which really is the centre of activity, especially at night. The hotel is an old colonial style building with many anitque artifacts and plenty of charm and character. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to really get a feel for the old colonial Manaus. The breakfast was well presented and varied, with something different everyday and attentive staff.

We were woken up early in the morning on 2 occasions by a very noisy member of staff talking unnecessarily loudly with conversa fiada (small talk). After complaining the situation was improved, but I have to say it is something we have frequently encountered in Brazilian hotels.

Casa Perpetua Charm hotel is in a historic colonial building. It is decorated in a bohemian eclectic "shabby chic" style, the furnishings seem to be well-loved vintage pieces with minimal restoration/modernization. The best places to stay/hang out are in the garden/lobby/ante-chamber rooms, not the bedrooms. There are nice hot showers. Some rooms have small private outdoor seating areas. The breakfast consists of a buffet with eggs, plantain, and bread/cold cuts. Reception was incredibly friendly- we stayed two nights and they let us change our room for the second night so we could experience a different room vibe! So kind!

We ate around 8am and it seemed like the breakfast had been out for some time. There were some spiderwebs/dust in the bedrooms, and as mentioned, the furniture is all cool vintage pieces that feel vintage when you sit/sleep on them.

Beautiful old building close to Teatro Amazonas and many good restaurants. Nicely renovated and decorated. Staff very nice. Those that spoke little or no English often spoke Spanish, so we communicated that way. Breakfast was limited to cold items, but good. They let us store our bags while we did a tour.

Many windows and doors did not seal, so mosquitoes and other insects were a problem. We used the mosquito netting provided, but it was somewhat inconvenient.

Very, very nice house, best location, on the main avenue, right around the corner from the famous theater, restaurants, tour agents... Careful: The location indicated on the map was wrong (fortunately!) when I reserved, see above. Very good room, aircon, tv, bed, bathroom, all very clean and nice. Lady manager speaks fluent english! You can leave stuff there if you go on a “jungle tour” for a few days.

Can be noisy in that area some evenings, but that’s Brazil! Still a great location, though, and I’d go back there.

the place is just such a nice old house decorated with love and much attention to detail. We just loved the atmosphere. And Sue is so helpful. It is great that she speaks English. It is not too common in Manaus ....

My stay in this hotel was just perfect: beautiful infrastructure, comfy beds, kind and responsive staff. The little garden with the swimming was clean and super nice to chill. Breakfast was good. No noise from outside streets. Everything was just perfect!

Breakfast was very nice in comfortable setting downstairs. nice variation of light foods. Liked peaceful pool on the property to relax and cool off. Location most convenient to immediate tourist areas without being in the middle of noise or traffic.
