Vila dos Orixas exceeded our expectations. It has direct access to a beautiful and quiet beach with comfortable lounge chairs and beds, and a great pool. The whole property is elegantly designed and perfectly clean. We stayed in a bungalow which had more than enough space and very comfortable beds. The food was excellent with a wide range of choices, the massage therapist was fantastic, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We had intended to explore the island but were so happy that we never left! Would recommended to anyone looking for a tranquil and remote getaway.

Beautifully designed bungalows set in lush grounds away from the bustling centres. A stunning pool with double beds & a bar. A gym for those much fitter than me & a great restaurant with fabulous food. There is a beach with sun beds & a beach bar & cafe. I had a relaxing massage which did what it claimed to do. My husband arranged a birthday dinner on the beach which the hotel organised beautifully. I must also comment on the staff who where all warm & friendly with a special mention to Gisele and Lucas who were amazingly polite and helpful 👏

A little piece of paradise! The perfect place to relax. The accommodation is spotless, comfortable and luxurious, and all the staff go above and beyond to make your stay even better. Breakfast is a highlight, and all the food we ate was delicious. The beach is gorgeous, and gym and swimming pool are great too. I can’t wait to come back.

The staff is incredibly helpful, polite and caters to your every need. The location is as remote as it gets, surrounded by marshes, tropical trees and lots of crabs. Nature is very much present, and that's a good thing. The beach is secluded and you can enjoy life without a mobile phone network, relishing the sound of the tide coming and going. The restaurant serves amazing food at fair prices, on par with anywhere else on the island, which is commendable given how remote the place is. The shuttle service to the hotel works great. Since there are only 15 bungalows, everything feels tailored and custom made to fit your particular taste.

The bungalows are crumbling and in dire need of a revamp. Our bungalow (number 10) front sliding door was out of its hinges, glass cracked in the corner, barely holding it together. The bathroom window didn't close, the whole place looked like it would come crashing down with the smallest breeze. The shower knob was held together with chewing gum and it fell off. For the price the hotel is charging a night, they should be ashamed of themselves for the appalling state of their rooms. A shame really. Everything else was really nice, but the deplorable state of the bungalow left a bitter taste. Second time in 2 years we were there and I will not be coming back until the place is fully restored.

Some times the food wasn't up to the expectation they put for themselves and quality they preach for the restaurant. Also, They didn't have recycling bins in the rooms.

The hotel premises were extremely beautiful, it is perfect to rest your mind, away from the city center. The beach es really quiete and if you enjoy a calm sea it is perfect for you, as there aren’t waves. The hotel provides free shuttles on a fixed schedule to go back and forth to Morro, and the distance is the price you pay for the beauty of the surroundings. I would like to give a special thanks to the hotel manager, Andrea, who was very kind and attentive when my boyfriend and I got sick. She made sure we were taken care of.

The breakfast is incredible and the staff is super nice and professional. The place is better than in pictures.

SPA was all booked despite the facility not being so full. I’d wish there were more SPA services and availability.

We stayed in Orixas for 4 days and enjoyed every minute, outstanding service and the most amazing place, truly magical! Andreia from concierge made our stay even more special, taking care of every need and even anticipating others. All the staff were amazing, genuine and beautiful people that are kind and attentive to serve with love. The transfer from morro de São Paulo to the Orixas is a 25min drive that is made really easy as it’s done with the hotel own Land Rover defenders. These are also running throughout the day at different times to take you to and from all the different beaches. The food in the restaurant is just divine. Breakfast and dinner were always fresh and delicious. The beach is just beautiful, quite and relaxing, it feels like a private beach. Last but not least, the swimming pool area is stunning. We truly loved everything about this place: Landscape, privacy, nature, people and food, definitely will come back.
