Had no gas for five days. Hence no hot water for a shower, and unable to use the gas cooktop and oven. Poor communication with the property managing company - they never came and explained the status or what was happening - and that was over a five day period. All we received were bland non-specific Portuguese messages which provided no insight as to when the gas may be restored.

We love the location and the amazing view of the beach. Apartment was very spacious and great for a family of four.

Lack of follow-up communication from staff. I informed staff only one minute after I received the check-in information that we will be checking in at a much later time. I never got a response to confirm they received my message and this was sent in the middle of the day at 1:19pm. When my family arrived, it made the check-in process and entering the building very difficult. We were locked out of the apartment because the passcode stopped working. When we were given the manual passcode to obtain the key, we were initially given the wrong one. There is a very bad musky and sewage odor from the toilet of the second bathroom. This made the bathroom and the attached bedroom smelled awful. Glass was broken on one of the doors and door knob came off.

The location is perfect and the view from the window is great. All the facilities worked perfectly and not needing a key was very handy.

The how to arrive and check in wasn't very clear beforehand but it did run very smoothly There were signs of wear and the finish on some parts of the apartment could have been better.

In the heart of Copacabana beach location, close to subway station, and grocery. Clean and well equipped apartment. Very helpful host.

Sewage smell in the bathroom was very bad during the entire stay. The owner of this property has really to solve this issue since it is mentioned by different people who stayed here. Flexibility of the host is very poor regarding 30min later checking than 9pm, The host was informed 1 day before that the arriving time could be delayed by 30min because of the flight and security check taxi etc… The service was very frustrating and not flexible at all. After arriving to the airport and after a long flight of 11 hours to l must look for a hotel where to stay with my family.
