Clean and comfortable hotel. Has a good breakfast and the location feels relatively safe. Close to botafogo beach and a shopping mall, as well as lots of cafes and bars. The pizza bar downstairs is pretty good!

A bit expensive. View from the room was just the side of another building which was a shame, considering Rio is so beautiful.

In general, the Portuguese hosts are not used to answer questions by mail. This is not the first time with not so easy communication on additional questions prior to arrival.

I really liked the colorful walls on every floor. But, what impressed me the most was the internet connection. My remote work requires stable internet and I had no trouble running my software through the hotel wifi. For that reason alone, I would book again with them. Previously I stayed at another hotel with terribly slow internet, so I was very pleased with Ibis Style's internet connection.

The "table"/desk in the room is too small. I expected a bigger desk for a hotel that receives a lot of people doing business in the city. Their desk is basically the side of a bedside table, which is way too tiny. My computer and screen were cramped and I had to put some things on the floor. I also wish they had bigger and better blankets.

The room was as advertised, fully equipped with TV, mini-bar and safe. The bathroom was spacious and well-equipped. The buffet breakfast is convenient. The location is great: metro station next to the hotel and central point to go to the beaches (Ipanema, Leblon, Copacabana) or to the city center (Santa Teresa, etc.)

Breakfast with little option. After one week, you get tired of it. The room walls are thin, so that noise will depend on your neighbors. The check-in and check-out may take some time, but it is not that bad considering it was carnival time.

the breakfast buffet was delicious and well maintained by staff. the bathroom in our room was nice / new. we were given extra pillows when we asked for them. the location is very close to the metro and the beach. there is a 24hr front desk with snacks and drinks available to purchase. some staff spoke english which was helpful for our little bit of portuguese.

the bed could have been a little more comfortable and it only came with a thin sheet. it would be nice to have an optional blanket in the room somewhere. maybe a tiny bit better cleaning for things like the floor and the chair in the room. no free coffee throughout the day.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Nice selection for breakfast. The room was more worn out than photos showed. Overall a pleasant stay

Only one very thin sheet on the bed, and the walls needed fresh paint ( a lot of marks from suitcases I assume) Bed was too firm for me.

Breakfast was delicious. The location is great. Close to the shopping centre, and subway, within walking distance to the beach. Fairly close to the Santos Dumont Airport.

The reception staff could be a little warmer and more welcoming. It felt like they couldn't be bothered. However, they were never rude or unprofessional. The guys in the restaurant though were nice and kind.

It was in a convenient position. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was ok - a good variety of Choice. No English tea.

Location, location, location. Stayed there several time before and its my prefered place.

Upon check out they requested R64 for breakfast which i did not have, the receptionist went off, spoke to someone and come back saying maybe i was late for breakfast. Again i told them i never had breakfast on either of my 2 nights stay, reluctantly they removed the charge. I would suggest checking your guests room number against their name that they give at breakfast as obviously someone was giving mine instead of their own.
