The hotel Resteraunt food is so good ! The staff is so kind. So friendly. So welcoming. From the entry doorway to the rooftop , the staff did not disappoint. The rooftop pool is beautiful with the bar / Resteraunt as well. The hotel is just a vibe, all around. Very antique designs and setup but they’ve kept up with it well. You can walk anywhere in vintage Salvador from here as well. Easy for cabs to find. Great location. Very safe.

The staff and the food !

Historical, charming and full of character, beautifully restored, with an attentive and professional staff.

Rooms are too small, with no coffee/tea service. Breakfast buffet with good quality and variety, but we weren’t informed in advance about the option to order besides what was on offer (they have a separate menu with options which are included in the service, but you need to ask for it, when it should be clearly visible in all tables). Also, there was no proper coffee at breakfast, and ordering an expresso attracted an additional charge.

No tea coffee facility in the room, need more comfortable seating in the room, not much drawer/storage space for keeping personal items. A proper desk with a lamp would also help.

Great location, incredible building in Salvador Old town. Rooms kept traditional decoration which makes the whole experience even better.

I would recommend adding more coffee options to the breakfast. They currently charge for cappuccinos, this is usually not the reality for 5 stars hotels. Also one more small detail - the doors to the room’s bathroom were a bit tricky to open and close and created some noise.

A fantastic art deco gem of a hotel, a few meters from the Pelourinho. Friendly, helpful staff, fantastic roof bar and pool with wonderful views over the bay of Salvador and sunsets. Bedroom on 7th floor was very comfortable and spacious, with partial views of the bay. Breakfast, although not a buffet, was excellent with a good choice and efficient. Dinner in the hotel had the best Moqueca of my visit to Brazil. We spent our last few days in Brazil here and loved every minute of it. Highly recommended.

We had the most fantastic time at the hotel over the new years period. Our stay was made spectacular by the concierge Luiz who through his help and charm made it an unforgettable experience for us. Thank you Luiz!

Rooms are comfortable, the hotel is charming and cozy, the pool and bar at the rooftop are amazing, with great views, music and services. Location is also amazing, close to Pelourinho, and the historic center.

At night there was much noise in the street. It could have sound proof windows.

the rooftop bar & pool was stunning, great facilities & the rooftop bar stag super helpful & attentive at all times. the building was beautiful & in immaculate condition

breakfast service was very slow on some days & with very little interaction from staff, having to constantly ask for more coffee or to order. not a great selection of savoury options or breads, very expensive breakfast for what it was. some fresh cooked breads etc would be easy to do. there was no hooks or towel rails at all in the bathroom so nowhere to hand a towel or clothes or wet swim wear

In general, the quality of the meals was excellent. The breakfasts were delicious and offered a wide variety of foods.

Some chairs of the rooftop could be more comfortable , and the air conditioned in the dining room and the lobby area could be less freezy.
