Everything. Simply everything was lovely. The grounds were lush and well maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Tuk-tuk service and daily laundry availability was so convenient. Wonderful spa services. Our plunge pool was delightful. One of the best.

That we had to leave……….wanted to stay longer.

We absolutely love this boutique hotel, it is by far one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, actually it is the best place we’ve ever stayed. It’s the attention to detail and the care with which it is run that really makes it stand out. They take the guest experience seriously! There is free daily laundry, free daily massages, fresh flowers in your room, cold wash cloths when you come in and they spray you with natural lemongrass mosquito spray as you leave, and there’s the free tuk tuks into town and back (you get a phone to ring them when you’re ready to be picked up) - all definitely makes you feel pretty special and spoiled and very, very well looked after! It’s in a beautiful garden setting with two lovely pools for cooling off (definitely needed) a fantastic restaurant (very good food) and a roof top bar with live music (very talented singer when we were there who took requests which was fun). We stayed in a villa with a plunge pool (really really recommend!) All the staff are absolutely gorgeous and so well trained in looking after the needs of the guests, with a special mention to the charming General Manager, Chris (thanks for all the attention and interesting chats). However there’s a bigger picture, when you stay here you are giving back to the local community. Christian, the owner/operator is passionate about caring for the community and growing people (and trees!) There’s a lot to know about his initiatives, for the local people and the environment, and well worth checking out and supporting. We loved this hotel for many reasons, we were spoiled and treated like royalty as guests but even more importantly we love the ethos behind the vision and what Jaya House is doing to support the local area and people. We really can’t recommend it highly enough.

The best hotel we’ve ever stayed in, by far. It is hard to put into words the level of service and comfort we experienced as guests at Jaya House. From the check-in experience with Finn to our meals in the restaurant to each and every cleaner, gardener and masseuse we encountered during our stay, the warmth and welcome we felt from every single member of the team was astonishing. The food was excellent, the rooms were beautifully presented and comfortable, and the facilities - swimming pools, bar, spa, restaurant - were immaculate and luxurious without ever feeling pretentious. The smallest details have all been thought of. To make things even better, the ethos of the hotel is clear to see and easy to support. Jaya is free of single-use plastics (with guests provided their own reusable bottle upon arrival) and does fantastic work planting trees in Siem Reap and supporting local people and communities. But what truly sets Jaya House apart from other hotels is the people who work there. Embodying the endless warmth and hospitality of the Cambodian people, the Jaya House team are simply incredible. No request is too much, little details about how we liked certain drinks or food were remembered, and above all the people appeared genuinely happy to try and give us the best possible experience. To Finn, Chris, and every single member of the team - thank you. Thank you for making our experience unforgettable. To Christian - what you have created in Jaya House deserves so much praise. However it is that you’ve created a home away from home with the most outstanding level of service, please keep doing what you’re doing. Ah kun.

We really enjoyed the attentive service. It's all the little details and the attention you receive during your stay. There was support for every question and everything happened calmly and somehow as a matter of course. Many thanks to the whole team. We booked the day tour for the temples directly through the hotel. Naka, our tour guide, gave us a fascinating insight into the history and lots of background information on our sightseeing tour. You could feel her enthusiasm to show us the wonderful places and she was very flexible in organising the tour. The hotel's TukTuk driver drove us safely throughout the day. We can only recommend the day trip with sunrise.

Excellent location, great staff. Loved the complimentary Tuk Tuk service into the City. Excellent complimentary laundry service. Also loved the daily complimentary one hour massage offering. Extremely well run, organised hotel the Owner/Manager Christian has done a superb job with his hotel and his policy of no plastics.

What a fabulous boutique hotel. Service, facilities, food and overall experience was top notch. I especially liked the hotel ethos of supporting local Cambodians working in the hotel; ensuring they all had English lessons, healthcare and decent wages.

The only thing I wished was different was the roof top bar, which could have had a bit more atmosphere.

I had a great local breakfast and my husband a western style breakfast, the spa was good and my husband in particular found his complimentary massage so good he booked an extra treatment. We had dinner there too which was delicious and reasonable. We also loved the large pool which was conducive to doing laps and after a few laps as I reached one end I was served a fruity treat in a glass-not necessary but a nice touch. Tea, coffee and biscuits were served in the guest area on demand and included. I also liked the complimentary pickup at the airport.

I liked everything. There was just nothing I didn't like except that my second massage was not as good as the first so it depends on finding a good match with the masseuse rather than the quality of the treatment.

Let me start by saying I am a seasoned 5 star traveller who isn't easily impressed. I have stayed at all the big luxury chains - Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria Collection, Park Hyatt, Raffles, Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental. Jaya House easily outshines them all. From the moment I was collected from my cruise drop off point at a nearby hotel, I was treated with effortless welcome that was so genuine it took me a little buy surprise. When the assistant manager assured me that I would be treated like family he was not lying. Staff I had never met greeted me by name everywhere I went. The property itself is an architectural and design achievement par excellence. No finish is left to chance and the whole ambiance is a sophisticated eclecticism everything that just works. The grounds have a heavy lush greenery that encases the bold black and white geometric facade in a seamless harmony. It is this "green" philosophy that extends to the hotel's no single use plastics policy as well as the eco conscious Jaya Organics skin care range that is produced locally and sold inhouse. The hotel also has its own small fleet of free tuk tuks that will happily take you anywhere you want within the city and collect you with a simple call from a local mobile phone that is provided by guest services for the duration of your stay. It is these little touches that make the biggest difference to the Jaya House experience. If you want your stay in Siem Reap to be as remarkable as the Angkor temples you came to visit look no further than Jaya House

Absolutely nothing

Very warm and welcoming greetings by the owner Chris and his team, from the second they came and picked me up to my departure from the premises. Cold towel and fresh water were handed to me the second my feet had touched the ground out of the car. A game changer of how to properly greet your customers. I already knew this is an address I will extensively share with my friends and family and most probably mark in my book of go-to places for another visit. Sean (pronounced Se-Ann) thank you so much for showing me around and assisting me with every little thing! :) Magnificent landscape of the gardens surrounding the pools, the spaces in the rooms are thoughtfully used without being too crowded. The selection of elegant furniture with a little wink to some 80’s objects (rotary phones, boom box radio, etc) strategically placed, your eyes will never get tired of discovering these details. The Breakfast is generous without being too pompous nor unnecessary waste of foods that we are seeing all the time in 5* hotels. However, the Chef and his team manage to bring some varieties every day and the delicious breads are freshly baked on a daily basis. The restaurant and its great team offers a variety of gastronomic dishes satisfying the most demanding customers prepared by the very skilled Chef. The dedication to sustainability - a matter dear to the owner Chris - is not only applied throughout the hotel with a 95% plastic free policy, but also shared and spread throughout the city of Siem Reap that he cherishes so much. His passion to make a change and improve things for the better is exemplary. Being a very seasoned traveler and on the road more than half of the year, I have experienced my fair share of 5* and Boutique hotels throughout the world and I rarely rate a hotel/ resort with a 10 as it is a combination of many factors. But I can tell in confidence that Jaya House River Park Hotel - Siem Reap deserves its 10 for perfection.

It might be the best hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life because of the people and the pampering. Jaya is a small, boutique hotel in SR. This hotel has really thought of everything. Upon arrival at Jaya, I was greeted with a gin and tonic and a cell phone. I was shown how to speed dial the front desk from the cell phone and the hotel provides unlimited free, tuk tuk rides that can be summoned with the cell phone from anywhere around the city. (However, every time we used their tuk tuks, the drivers just waited for us even if it was shopping, a meal out, or the Phare Circus.) The hotel provides a free, one hour massage for each guest, daily. Amazing. The massages are done with their all natural products- also amazing. Every time you return to the hotel, you are greeted with an ice cold towel soaked in jasmine water and an iced, herbal tea. Every time you leave the hotel they offer to spritz you with their natural mosquito repellent (although I think you need something with DEET). The hotel is great for kids and my kid loved it. The hotel has a silly couch made up of stuffed, yellow duckies next to two bars. The first bar is an all day, free coffee and tea bar. The second bar is an all day cold milk and cookies bar. The hotel has two amazing, swimming pools and every time we swam, the staff immediately brought ice water and offered free, ice cream cones. All of the stuff in the mini bar is free and they give you reusable water bottles. Airport pickup (airport is an hour away) is free and included. The breakfast is free and it and all of the food in their restaurant is delicious. It was the only time on our three week trip that we stayed at a hotel with really good food. The staff was warm and welcoming and so very nice. The owner lives on site and is a very nice guy. All of the staff seemed to like and respect him and it seemed that they are treated well. If you go to Siem Reap, you should 100% stay at this hotel.
