The view of Bras d'Or Lake from our window was gorgeous. The room was very nice and clean. We were surprised to have daily cleaning service as most hotels have gone away from that. The restaurant was nice for breakfast. The fireplace came in handy on a few cool, damp mornings while we were there. Loved that Baddeck was right in the middle of the island so distances to get to everything else were quite reasonable.
We had neighbors one night who managed to make quite a bit of noise about 3 a.m. It was interesting that they only had the fireplace for heating the room and no actual furnace. The fireplace definitely warmed the room up but wouldn't maintain a temperature without turning it on and off. The parking near the room had fairly narrow spaces and the space between the building and the parking spaces made it a bit tricky getting in and out.

The property is a good value and in a good location with free parking. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The area was quiet.
The room (especially the bathroom) was a little dated. The shelving area in the bathroom was awkward. There were not enough plugs. We upgraded to a room with a view and it was a sliver of a lake view, but we didn't spend much time in the room. If you stay in the block of rooms in the back on the second floor there is only stair access (no elevator). We had to ask for more towels. I wish there was a chain lock on the door, I always feel safer with this option.

The a location - town and site - is wonderful. Baddeck is a charming town on Cape Breton's eastern shore. Auberge Gisele's Inn is located is on a hill overllooking the water and an old church so it has beautiful views. The restaurant is quite good. A smaller gazebo offers a pleasant place for families to picnic.
Auberge Gisele's Inn is much larger than the term "Inn" would suggest. There is a smaller main house, with restaurant, and two modern additions, large enough to house travelers on tour buses. Our room was perfectly pleasant - better than most on a long road trip - but without the charm one might expect from an "inn."

The room was nice, comfortable bath. The building looks a bit old and the entrances to the rooms were only accessible from outside (from a covered deck) but it wasn’t raining or anything so it was okay!
I almost got double charged for my room; so just make sure you check your email/printed receipt they give you. If I didn’t double check with reception at checkout I would have been charged twice. I paid the full amount on Booking - the lady at the front desk said that it’s not “actually” paid for on Booking. She double checked when asked and confirmed I had already paid the full amount.

This is a really cute place.
Well, they have a restaurant in the hotel, so one nite after a day driving the Cabot trail, we were tired and decided to go for dinner, and we were told that it was booked by the bus tour people. They should have told us and the rest of the people that we were out of luck. That was unexceptable. Also the cleaning staff didn't leave supplies when they were in to clean the room.

Our room was clean and cheerful, and the twin beds were comfortable with nice linen. The location is close to the main tourist area of Baddeck and handy for walking to a local ceilidh. The elevated views from the hotel of the village of Baddeck and the lake were stunning, and the patio area of the hotel had beautiful flowers and baskets. Breakfast is a little extra cost, but the buffet and room together represented good value. The hotel staff were all polite and welcoming. We enjoyed or stay!
We liked everything! Well done, staff.

Loved the look of the property and how beautifully the grounds were managed. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and the hotel was conveniently located.
We were travelling with friends but, while our room was conveniently located on the ground floor, our friends were on the 3rd floor - not ideal with no lift and no porters!

The staff was helpful and recommended their restaurant for dinner which was quite good. Staff came to ask us if we needed anything at our room and though I said no, they came back and cleaned the room later.
The stairs to the rooms were steep and when the rain came I was concerned they would be slippery since they were wooden steps..

The location was nice and close to downtown. The staff was very friendly and the room had what we needed.
The breakfast was expensive and $15 for standard spread. Our room was on ground level and near the entrance so needed to keep the curtains closed while in the room for privacy. Which was unfortunate because it was a nice sunny evening with a view of the water.
