The hosts were delightful! More like staying with friends than a B&B. Breakfast was fabulous. The accommodations are beautiful. They have opened the whole house to their guest and there are plenty of spots to lounge. The bedroom was large and comfortable with lots of storage space. The bathroom was decent sized. The shower was perfect. Large, with a rainfall shower head and a hose with regular shower head. The best of both worlds. Kelly and Cathy took great pains to accommodate us. Wife is sensitive to strong fragrances and detergents. They washed everything in the room with unscented detergents before our arrival. The best B & B experience we have had.

There was absolutely nothing not to like.

The breakfasts were lovely but I think what stood out for us even more was the care and attention of Kathy and Kelly. Clearly they wanted our stay to be memorable. We loved it that they freely offered us a glass (or two ;) ) of wine in the evening. It was those extra touches (chocolates and cookies in the room, a bottle of sparkling wine to help us celebrate our anniversary) that really made it special. Our room was excellent. We could lie in bed and see the river. The whole situation of the house was perfect, beautiful veranda with comfy chairs to watch the sunset. Let's just say our stay was delightful. Oh, and Kelly was great at pointing out some places to visit, places we otherwise would have missed.

It was lovely, and I can't think of anything that we didn't like about the place or the staff. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who can still walk a flight of stairs (the bedrooms are on the second floor).

The house is beautiful and spotless, the bed is comfortable and obviously of high quality, the location is lovely, and the whole experience is one of tranquility. To top it all are the hosts: Kelly and her fiancé John. These are hosts - and owners - committed to the highest standards of service, and very nice people too.

The breakfast is elaborate and well-thought out, but I would prefer having a simple breakfast menu to choose from. Having said that, I am sure that the hosts would oblige. On my second morning, I asked for poached eggs on toast, butter, jam and extra toast, and yoghurt. All were served; all were excellent.

Excellent location. We stayed two nights and toured from there. Kelly and Cathy were the best hosts. Breakfast was incredible. Felt like we were fine dining in the morning. We felt at home from the moment we walked in. We enjoyed socializing with other guests on the veranda over a glass of wine. Incredible view. Thank you for the great experience Kelly and Cathy.

Oh my! We had the best eggs Benedict imaginable! The home is lovely and meticulously furnished to fulfill your every need. But the best part of the stay was meeting the owners, Cathy and Kelly. We felt like we were their friends! Lovely people with an equally lovely home. They even got up at 5AM to say goodbye and give us a breakfast box for the road since we had to leave early. Can’t ask for more than that!

Nothing could have been better.

Nothing we really didn’t like. Even the dogs are great. Just wish we had more time to sit on the front porch and look at the river!

The breakfast prepared by our lovely hosts was exceptional! When we needed to leave very early the next day, they prepared us a "to go" box filled with fruits, coffee cake, and sandwiches!! She also was there to bid us good bye and safe travels. This mother and daughter duo were absolutely a joy to meet and spend time with in their beautiful home.

You are in for a treat! The hosts are gracious, friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Our stay was in the side room, and we felt completely comfortable with the amount of space. We slept very well, with the sparse cars winding down the river road dwindling to none by bedtime. Cleanliness is immaculate. Little touches, like home-bake cookies, soft linens, and fragrant hand soaps add to the luxury. Breakfast is done in three courses, with sweet first, and a savoury course so filling you might not need to eat the rest of the day! Loving care has been put into the recipes, and if you stay for a few days, look out for the mouth-watering 'Toba's Special.' Be sure to spend a sunset on the porch to wind down the day.

You are invited into their tastefully decorated home where they have carefully orchestrated everything to make your stay not only comfortable but memorable. It’s not just about the bed and the breakfast, it is about you, the ambiance, room(s) to unwind, having a good night sleep and waking up to a delicious homemade and healthy breakfast to start a beautiful new day. Everything is sprinkled with lots of love and a dash of sea mist… Enjoy!

What can we say about this place and the two wonderful ladies that make it magical?! Cathy and Kelly have a gem of a place in Nova Scotia. I would highly recommend this place to anyone a million times over! The house is beautiful, the view is amazing, the breakfasts that the ladies make you is beyond 5 stars, and the memories engraved will last a lifetime. We truly had an amazing time and I look forward to staying at Toba B&B again and again and again and again...

That we had to leave! Would of moved right in and stayed forever!
