I love everything about the Inn, the beautiful well groomed property, the amazing ambiance, the warm welcoming staff, the very enjoyable breakfast which has a wide selection of very high quality food and home baked very delicious goodies. The breakfast room is in a spacious area surrounded by windows looking out on the back property. This is my second stay and I will definitely be coming back to sample more of the food offerings at the on site restaurant. The restaurant is very well appointed and has lots of space for privacy of conversation and is very welcoming. You would have to experience it for yourself. The only bad thing was that there were many fabulous desserts to choose from, if only a person had the space to try them all. My main course was wiener schnitzel and it was done to perfection - the sauerkraut was amazing. The garden salad was totally fresh and good to the last bit. The Black Forest cake speaks for itself - it couldn't have been more delicious. Take a trip to the Edelweiss and experience a taste of Austria and Bavaria.

Loved everything about the Edelweiss.

The Inn was secluded and well kept. We too several pictures of the site and it is very near the ocean. Very quiet at night and the breakfast was excellent. Prepared by the in house chef and catered by the owner of the establishment.

Everything was excellent though and this is the city boy in me it would have been great to have a TV on those rainy days. That being stated the room is designed for sleep and rest. If you're here in this spot you should get out and see the country side and everything else it has to offer.

Excellent breakfast and a wonderful ambience with companionable guests, plus a birthday song sung to the autoharp, in German. You don't get that at Motel 8! The location is admittedly a touch out of the way, but the detour is worth it, and the drive down to Annapolis Royal was short enough even on surface roads. And you can sit on your balcony and contemplate green fields in fog, rain, or the blaze of noon. We chose rain and it was very nice. (The sunsets are on the other side, ha ha!)

I have stayed in the four, very nice Hotels, prior to checking in to the Edelweiss Inn, and I have to say, that although these were mostly big chain Hotels, the Edelweiss Inn was superior to everyone of these other hotels. The staff, Barbara, Joerg, Heather, Chantelle and Nikki, treated me like family, the four days that they hosted me. I was impressed with the quality of service that was presented, from the initial tour of the Inn, to the beautiful meals that were catered to my dietary needs. The room that I had was just beautiful. It had character, privacy, it was immaculately clean, with beautiful scenery and it was absolutely peaceful. In the morning, the breakfast was delicious, with everything from fresh picked vegetables, from their own garden, the morning of, to specialize meals, all while serving the needs of all their guests. Not only was the breakfast experiences exceptional, but the dinner I had, on the Sunday evening, at the restaurant, was one of the best meals I have had, in the five weeks that I have been travelling. The Beet Soup and the Mussels were two of the most delicious meals, I have eaten, and like the breakfast, the food was always prepared with healthiness in mind. I want to thank, each of them again, and I will definitely stay at Edelweiss Inn again. Also, unwinding and bring away from technology is not such a bad thing. There is enough green space to take a walk, or sit and watch the sunset. The Edelweiss Inn is a place that anyone visiting Nova Scotia should add as one of their expeditions. It is an experience that one will never forget. I know that I won’t. Thank you for making my stay memorable.

Absolutely nothing…

We love that the inn is so cozy and tucked away. This is our second stay here and we are so impressed with all the work Barbara has put into the place the past year. We were instantly welcomed upon our arrival. Our room was cozy and we loved the decor and all the original woodwork. The restaurant is to die for! Food is hot and delicious! Make sure you leave room for dessert!!

I wish we had booked a second night.

It was a cozy, quaint and full of character. The inn and restaurant were very clean. The staff were friendly. The chef of the restaurant came out to greet us upon our arrival. We had supper at the restaurant and the quality of the food was top notch! After supper we were invited by the owner to stroll the property and explore. They have marked trails to take you all the way down to the ocean which is only a 1 km walk. Breakfast was complimentary; fresh vegetables from her garden and delicious blueberry cobbler! It was served in a common room where you could dine and socialize with other guests.

We wish we had booked more than one night.

The breakfast was excellent, egg wraps, scrambled eggs, quiche, different style of egg every morning, all delish, fruit, cereal, yogurt, toast, oatmeal. The property was awesome, with lots of trails to go walking on. Will definitely be returning. Met three wonderful ladies.

No cable TV, this would have been nice.

Everything was exceptional Breakfast wonderful. We were there,7 days different food every day. The food was delicious.A lot of it. Everything was homemade.. Fresh and healthy. The owner of the Inn is a very welcoming person. We will be back next year.

Staff very friendly, personable, helpful. Hotel is out in the country, a distance from town and their restaurant is closed on Tuesday. They were very accommodating to save me traveling back into town and back after dark so prepared a meal for me. Lovely view and grounds with walking trails and near a viewing place for Bay of Fundy.

Had a bit of trouble finding it at first. They need some signage near hwy. Lovely countryside approach and location.

Breakfast was excellent much better than big chains'. Also love the location and that the rooms are for humans only. Did not come away feeling sick or disgusted. Anyone looking to escape the bustle of city life in a fairly clean and decent place would find this a perfect spot to relax.

The signage out front is too small and easy to drive past, no serious gripe just maybe an elevated larger signage.
