Most of the staff, and the manager were helpful

Vending machine ate $5 of my money. 10 minutes into my stay. First staff member just shrugged her shoulders and said too bad, they have no control over the machine. I threatened to go to another hotel and the manger tried to help but couldn't. First staff member then told me to call the vending machine company which got me nowhere. I asked for my $5 back and then they could deal with the vending machine operator but was told no. This experience did nothing to make me want to come back

Excellent Front Desk staff Day and night. Monte Carlo Inn is brand new from top to bottom. Room #403 overlooks the #400 Highway which was extra light all Day. The swimming pool was extra warm and very relaxing. The bathroom and change room is very handy. The dining room restaurant is awesome for Continental breakfast or enhanced Hot meal for an $8 charge, Thursday to Sunday. Beds are always soft and linens and towels are luxurious. Quick check in and check out. Very grateful for this relaxing resort.

Walking along Tiffan Street will take you straight to the beach at Kempenfelt Bay, Lake Simcoe. Skipped the Restaurants and went to the No Frills Grocery store 8 minutes away.

The suite we stayed in was incredible. Even the nameplates on the doors were cute added touch. The first look of the room was breathtaking. It looked like a room fitting of a Goddess, with Roman pillars around the four corners of the tub that sits nicely for viewing the sunset or sunrise. The room looked like it had been updated within the last few years. Pretty carpet, leather couch, cute chair, very stylish! The view of the sun setting was so pretty, especially since it was a corner suite. The bed was perfection. Comfortable with the nicest pillows I've had at a hotel. The fireplace was such a nice touch. The fact that it's only for looks and doesn't heat means you can stay there year-round and get the pleasure of using it.

Honestly, I hate having to say anything poorly about this room, but there was one thing that bothered me enough to say something. While using the gorgeous tub, I reached down, and there was something floating in the water. But it moved out away too fast, so I thought it was just the bubbles, and my mind playing tricks, it was not. When I got out and emptied the tub, there was a piece on me and were several pieces in the tub that looked like wet paint that you peeled out of a dish that's dried. It's almost like a rubbery plastic feel to it. I'm not sure where it came from, but it wasn't on there when I started, and it was not on be beforehand. I was honestly turned right off.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The entire place was very clean. The rooms were gorgeous (I had an electric fireplace in mine) and the bed was super-comfy! The breakfast had plenty of options that kept me full until a late lunch. The best part was that it was almost half the price of the neighboring hotels/motels on the same road.

The pool is in pretty rough shape, and is tiny. I was surprised that the breakfast didn't include any hot food, considering that it's served in a restaurant with a full kitchen attached. The curtains don't close all the way, and there was a huge light outside my window, but the bed was positioned so that if I slept in the middle or one side of the bed, the light didn't cross my face.

This hotel was a decent price and was close to the highway. We did not actually hear the highway which was nice. The double bed room was convenient for my friend and I who were coming from different cities. The front staff were welcoming and it was easy to check in. Lots of parking (we were able to park under shelter too as it was raining). Bed was comfy and everything was very clean.

The bathroom was a bit small but it worked well. There was no chain on the door which, as 2 women travelling, was a bit of a concern. Gap of light above the door from the hallway but it was minor.

The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and cozy. The $8 breakfast deal was great. I got great sleep on the soft, comfy mattress. The Wifi was high quality.

The TV had a low quality image on most live TV channels. The location was not very walk friendly (no sidewalk), but I managed to make the most of it. Just be patient and careful walking along the side of the road. They also provide taxi service.

You can’t beat the location for a stopover in Barrie. As always the staff are/were outstanding. Warm friendly welcome, etc. The room was perfect for my needs. Ultra Clean and comfortable. The free breakfast provided was varied, plentiful and delicious.

They must have the slowest elevator on the planet! I would hate to be there when it is busy. The whole property (other than my room) is staring to look a bit worn around the corners. Some of the rugs could use a really good washing.

The room was large and we thoroughly enjoyed the whirlpool. The pool area was quiet. The housekeeping staff that we encountered where exceptional. They were quick to address the issues that we had upon our arrival. The water was very hot, which was great!

The room is dated. The televisions are analog. The bathroom sink had a crack in it. The carpet had not been vacuumed and there were cigarettes burn marks on the carpet in the bedroom and stains in the living room. One of the bath mats was stained. The curtains on one of the bedroom doors was filthy. The housekeeping staff where very quick to address the cleaning issues.

I didn’t think there was enough selection. Also when it was busy there was not enough help as there was no silverware and dirty tables.

The toilet was leaking. I had to put towels on the floor around the toilet to soak up the water. They would come make up my room and take the towels away and when I would go in bathroom I would get wet feet because of the leak. I believe it’s been leaking for a while.

I appreciated the contact by Heather to secure my accessible room. Due to the weather, we called to see if we could come a night early and they accommodated us. Mamie in the restaurant was the highlight of our stay. Seeing the way she lit up when our people came in to the restaurant was a wonderful way to start the Holidays

The large puddle where you try to get out of your vehicle in the front door handicap spot. The kids from the hockey tournament screaming up and down the halls knocking on our door constantly.
