We were surprised there were not waffles or pancakes, fruit, or yogurt. That lacking is rating less than an econo level.

The loud fridge sounds. It was located adjacent to the bed. We unplugged it. Also no staff at reception. I personally never saw anyone until we called asking about the TV. I would expect someone to be available to clean tables during breakfast hours & until checkout. At least greeting them & thanking us for coming. Huntsville is just bad for snow. There was no concern for at least keeping the handicap parking clear & safe. & at least shovel an area clear of snow for drop off. Economy should not mean you are on your own buddy. There is still an expectation of some staff representation for the customer to feel appreciated. On those things, this visit will turn me away from EconoLodge again.

Great location for a night before a trip through Algonquin park. 15 minute walk into the town which is very pretty and has lots to offer in terms of restaurants. Easy on-site parking at no extra cost. Okay breakfast with cereal, toast and coffee to set you up for the day. We didn’t interact too much with the staff but they were friendly when we did so.

The vending machines weren’t working and only take coins; this wasn’t great when we were wanting a drink later on in the evening but it wouldn’t be a dealbreaker.

The property was very well maintained and very clean. The front desk staff was very polite and friendly. They went above and beyond to take care of our stay by ensuring that our families received rooms in the vicinity and they also ensured that our pet’s needs were met and they gave us a comfortable vinyl flooring room.

The experience could have been improved if there were portable coffee makers available in each room but it was easily available by accessing the coffee machine in breakfast area after hours.

The room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast is ok but basic. The set up could be improved to show what is available.

This is a detail/suggestion , but something should be done with the two windows (venitians) on the right side of the main entrance since before I walkre in, it gave me an impression of general neglect. Luckily this was not the case.

Hotel rooms are fairly recently renovated. Laminate floor not carpet is great!

We were given a room with a door to another hotel room (despite the hotel not being fully booked) and yes some loud talkers showed up. Hotel didn't rent room the 2nd night but with a 1/2 empty hotel, putting us beside anyone wasn't good customer service. It was, however the only problem and essentially the loud talkers were not hotel's fault.

The staff were friendly. The room had all necessary comforts. Good place to stay when making a trip to Algonquin.

Not many options for breakfast. All carbs: bread and cereal. The lights inside the reception area and also inside the room were so dull.

I actually like everything. it’s above and beyond with the price.

Renovated, clean rooms. Our request for the room was fulfilled, so we got quiet room on the upper floor facing back. Strong Wi-Fi signal. Fast check-in/check-out process. Fridge and microwave in the room. Quite comfy beds. Well equipped room. Hotel is located in a quiet residential area, ~10 minutes away from the town main street/center. Proximity to the Arrowhead provincial park.

Lighting - would love to add more in the room, no light at the entrance. Not good pillows. At the reception, it would be great if the guy would take his time to explain everything slowly and clearly, and being more friendly overall. Cleaning the parking area entrance, which is uphill, from the snow would demonstrate that you care. For 3-star hotel and that price the coffee maker should be available in the rooms by default.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We knew it would not be luxury accomodation but it was clean and comfortable. This accomodation was good value for money on the whole.

Breakfast was a little busy (and noisy) - due to a large group of young people staying there together at the time we were there. There were not enough tables for everybody. But there was enough food (continental breakfast)
