Great location, rooms faced the river

I booked a superior queen room, and added an additional night to the front end of my stay. They moved us to the “room I had booked” on the 2nd night but it was this terrible comfort room with no space, a very awkward bathroom set up with the sink in the bedroom behind a column (holding up the roof), no closet. When I requested the superior room as I had booked, (and had to show them the Booking.com confirmation) the staff did move me, but did not offer a any sort of refund for the night I spent in the comfort room.

We love both the facilities and the location. We always come back at the same time each year - during the “off season” - so it is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The hotel staff are always wonderful and helpful - not only about the hotel itself, but about other things in the local area itself.

The restaurant was fine ,but very small squabble- we ate there 3 nights while we were there for 8 nights, and the soup of the day never changed - it was cream of watercress , and very good the night we arrived - ~ we joked that it should be soup of the week-month ‼️‼️

The restaurant staff was delightful and helpful. Our room was well appointed and large with a fine view of the river.

The bathroom was shut and difficult to move around in. Air conditioning unit was either too cool or too warm for sleeping comfort. Steep entry stairway made it difficult to navigate especially carrying baggage.

Comfortable room with a balcony that provided an amazing view out over the St. Lawrence River. Room had nice touches like a fireplace style heater, making for a cozy environment on a cool night. Great base for exploration of Ile d'Orleans. Attached restaurant had a mix of standard travel food (e.g. poutine, fish and chips) but also a few upscale dishes (e.g. risotto, osso bucco) which we found capably done.

Continental box breakfast prepared the night before and left in fridge for the morning was adequate and provided sufficient food. (The restaurant has been coping with chronic labour shortages in the Quebec hospitality sector this fall.) The breakfast had english muffin, cheese, a hard-boiled egg, a fruit item and a pork-based spread and was basically the same for both days we were there. We're okay with the pre-prepared continental breakfast concept but believe they could provide something a bit more upscale, with some choice, that better showcased Ile d'Orleans produce and products.

The room was in a corner of the main floor and had wraparound windows and a great view of the Saint Lawrence River. Lots of light and a very comfortable bed, big vintage table and chairs next to the windows. The restaurant served a limited but very interesting menu and everything we ate was well prepared and beautifully plated. Our server was wonderful. Try the trout tartare if you are adventurous- it’s as delicious as the server said it would be! If you walk into town to the chocolate shop and want more of a walk, there is a small roadway branching off the main road (rue Royale) on the left, just past the chocolate shop. It leads to a riverfront mostly pedestrian walkway along the Saint Lawrence with views of the huge waterfall ( Chutes Montmorency) and the bridge that connects L'ile d'Orleans to the mainland.

This hotel is listed as being in the town of Sainte-Laurent but it is NOT located in that town! It is actually in the village of Saints-Petronille. Fortunately the hotel has put signs on the main roads to direct you. Don’t try to use your gps unless you substitute Sainte-Petronille for the incorrectly listed Sainte-Laurent! The hotel receptionist says they have tried numerous times to get this erroneous address corrected by booking.com with no results. Be warned!

Location right on the waterfront across from Quebec. Good restaurant on site. Everyone was extremely nice in both the hotel and restaurant.

It would have been nice to have breakfast served in the restaurant, as an option. It wasn’t a big deal since there were nearby places to grab something to eat.

The hotel is beautifully positioned on the point of the island. It is very well maintained and up to date. Very beautiful and comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious meals and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

The location was exceptional and the staff was most helpful. The pre-ordered cold breakfast was a nice touch. We were able to eat it outside while enjoying the wonderful scenery.

The bed was a little hard for our taste, but the room was overall very nice.

This was my favourite hotel stay in Canada. It’s a great location, the room was just beautiful and the hotel beautiful. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was lovely. Our room had a beautiful view of the St Lawrence River.
