This property is beautiful- on a secluded plot of land slightly outside the city center (about 10-15 mins walk). Every single staff member from the owners to the kitchen staff, and maintenance were so friendly and helpful. the owners in particular emphasized that “this is your home” and that really sums up the stay. fully stocked kitchen, fridge with free drinks, water fountains, laundry services, and especially personalized attention- they all knew my name which I find rare in a hotel. I liked it so much I even added an extra night to my stay- no problems at all. I highly highly recommend Casa Solcor and only wish I could have stayed longer

There was one night where my heat didn’t work well, but this was fixed immediately by the owner and ensured it wasn’t a problem the next night.

TL;DR: Everything about it was just magical, service, design, location, food, the outdoor area, the room and bathroom, all amazing! Super friendly staff. A true oasis in the middle of the desert. My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Casa Solcor during our trip to Atacama, and we cannot say enough good things about it! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive Patricio and his wife, who went out of their way to ensure that we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Our room was simply stunning, with high spec and standard furnishings that provided a true feeling of luxury and relaxation. We especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the beautiful bathroom, which was equipped with all the amenities we needed for a truly indulgent stay. The breakfast provided at the hotel was of exceptional quality, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from each morning, a true 5* breakfast and free bottled water too! For those of you who enjoys interior design and decoration, you will absolutely love every aspect of this hotel! Perhaps the most memorable aspect of our stay, however, was the level of support and advice offered by all the staff throughout our visit. They were always on hand to answer any questions we had and provide valuable recommendations on local attractions and activities. This level of service truly made our stay at the hotel even more special, and we would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for an exceptional experience in Atacama. Overall, we can only say great things about Casa Solcor, and all the hospitality from Patricio and all the other staff. From the warm welcome to the high spec/standard of the room and the quality of the breakfast, every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. Amazing place! Everything was above and beyond our expectations! There was complimentary snacks and drinks available in the common kitchen area for guests, rooms were excellent, comfy and brand new (incl. usb-c outlets), with toiletries, incl. hand moisturizer. There was breakfast each morning. The place offers free bikes which I used for a long 20km dirt road trip and it handled perfectly. The owner helped us every day with planning out what to visit. I mean there isn't anything we could have asked more for!

The property is stunning. There's lots of attention to detail, with beautiful art in every corner. There's a lovely courtyard with a pool and lots of seating areas and canopied daybeds. There's lots of common seating areas everywhere, indoor and outdoor. Staff are super helpful and friendly. They helped me book an affordable shared transport back to the airport on my last day that I wouldn't have been able to find/access on my own for that rate, and were super friendly/accommodating when I locked myself out of my room or safe (woops). Breakfast is very nice and goes until 11 AM which is a nice touch for those of us who like to sleep in. Beautiful desert oasis and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Wifi was poor unfortunately. Essentially did not have wifi in my room. Better in common areas (thankfully these are abundant, so you can often find an empty area) but still spotty. Room was on the smaller side but enough for me as a single person, and bathroom was sizeable and there's also an outdoor seating area (private). About a 15 min walk from centre of town; not far by any means, but may be less than ideal when your tour drops you off there at the end of a long day and it's hot/dusty/high altitude (or walking alone at night).

Katarina was so helpful and welcoming from start to finish. We had a few requests re trips which she dealt with very well. Location was peaceful outside main area/ restaurants, but within easy walking distance. Our Room was very comfortable and spacious . Large bed with lovely sheets etc . The outdoor areas were quiet and relaxing. Just what we needed after 3 days overland trip through salt flats etc . Smallish pool,coldish/refreshing, but felt warmer each day we were there. Circumstances meant we stayed slightly longer than initially intended,but we enjoyed the relaxing downtime in our travels, in this lovely little oasis. Breakfast was a good choice and fresh . Tea and water were available during day .

Patricio was excellent! Very attentive and helpful with suggestions. modern aesthetic and cozy. all inclusive with drinks and water refill. ability to do laundry included.

As it was our first visit to Sao Pedro de Atacama, we really did know what to expect. Everything turned out very well starting with the airport pick up arranged by the hotel staff. The actual hotel is very well located and rooms clean and spacious however the crowing point has to be the staff. Everybody from the helpers and cleaners up to the top management were superb. Always very helpful and willing to help with any possible issue. They even brought in a surprise birthday cake for my wife's birthday!

Absolute gem in San Pedro de Atacama. Casa Solcor is just away enough from the madness of San Pedro, but it is completely walkable if you need to get there. The staff, with no exceptions, is amazing and will go above and beyond to ensure you have a good stay. Lovely room with a very comfortable bed, excellent shower (great, as will you be full of dust in Atacama) and a very good breakfast tailored to you with a lot of care. 10/10

Nothing that could be blamed on Casa Solcor or the staff, but some of the guests needed a lesson in manners!

Casa Solcor really is a very special place to stay. It enjoys a wonderfully quiet location, a short 10-minute stroll from the centre of San Pedro. The attention to detail is extraordinary, the warmth of the welcome is exceptional and we had the happiest of stays. The room was lovely: huge, comfortable bed, top-quality bed linen and towels. Private patio with excellent star gazing. Beautifully appointed bathroom. Communal areas are wonderful. Comfy sofas, covered four poster-style beds where you can snooze or read your book, a nice plunge pool with sun loungers. Breakfast was superb with great coffee and freshly baked pastries and croissants from the French bakery. Fruit, cake, ham, cheese, eggs, juice. Nothing was too much trouble for these lovely people. I will single out Wilson and Edson but there were so many members of staff whose names I didn’t get to know, but whose cheerful and helpful disposition added to the quality of our stay. Casa Solcor is very well priced for the level of service it offers. If you want somewhere really special in San Pedro, then look no further.

Location was excellent within easy walking distance from the centre of San Pedro, but not right in the centre which could be noisier and more dusty. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. They could also give you breakfast earlier if you were booked on a morning tour. Very relaxing and comfortable communal area, both inside and outside. It was also possible to organise your own lunch or dinner there bringing in takeaway food if you did not want to go to restaurants all the time. They also offered drinks, coffee and tea all day.
