Location, very close to the subway and easy to find. Clean place. Nice staff, the owner speaks English. A big area to hang out, there are drinks, coffee and breakfast to order at the reception. I stayed in a 4 beds room and we had enough space. It seems there's not big choice of hostels in Beijing anymore and hotels are ridiculously expensive. So I really liked this place for affordable price and location.

Would be great if the beds had curtains.

The location was great, close to the Lama Temple station, and was close to 7/11 & Starbucks. The staff were helpful and nice. The rooms were ok but the shared spaces were quite nice.

Wish the bathrooms and sinks were slightly cleaner. The sheets could also be newer and slightly cleaner as well. Understandably it is an affordable hostel, so the cleanliness was not too bad.

It was clean and nice and convenient to the train station. It was also near to the lama temple and the small roads with many interesting shops on the opposite side of the road (hutongs). The owners were very nice in helping me get accommodated but also helped me settle my SIM card and also I also lost my phone when I already checked out and wanted to leave. So they helped me to get back my phone! I also left behind a bag and helped me keep it a few days after I left.

Sharing a 4 bunker beds can be hit or miss. Unfortunately we had one guy who was a bit weird and noisy during the stay and disturbed the others quite a bit.

Good place to meet other travellers and get tips for the rest of China if you are just starting out. Decent location as you are walking distance to a few sites and easy walking distance to the subway. The shared bathrooms were seemingly constantly being cleaned so that was good. They also had laundry machines in the bathrooms you could use. The staff were amazing! They helped us figure out how to use different apps to purchase train tickets, get didi working on our phones, etc.

The rooms were a bit messy, also in my room the light from outside shone directly onto my bed and there were no curtains and no way to hang anything to block the light.

I stayed at P.loft for a 19 hour layover to shower and nap. P.loft provided an excellent brief introduction to Beijing. The guesthouse is located in a very interesting neighborhood close to interesting alleys and shopfronts and within walking distance of the lama temple (one of the only temples not requiring advance booking in Beijing). P.loft was the best place to stay as a solo traveler. I met so many interesting and fun travelers. There is an outdoor and indoor airconditioned space to hang out and meet other people. The staff are gruff and a little impatient, but underneath the gruffness can be kind too.

The dorms are hit or miss, depending on who you are sharing with. Fellow travelers loved their dorms. I, unfortunately, shared a dorm with someone who spoke loudly on the phone the entire day, even when I was obviously trying to nap and even after I asked her to speak on the phone outside. I could hear her through my earplugs. So some fellow travelers can be inconsiderate in ways I have not experienced in dorms before. I did not manage to get any sleep in that dorm.

Excellent location - near all public transportations and all sorts of restaurants and tourist attractions. International vibe - you can communicate and share insights with travellers from diverse culture and countries. Excellent security - we need to use security digital key to access to each room Cleaness- you can get a full package of clean sheets and pillow cases to sleep, the bathroom gets cleaned constantly Friendly and helpful staff - the staff went the extra mile to assist me when I need urgent help (beyond my expectations with solution based approach).

We need to prepare our own toilet paper, which is common everywhere in China

After reading some reviews, I booked for only one night to sus things out. After a night, I extended my stay for 5 nights. I stayed in a 6 dorm and didnt have any issues. The limited toilets and showers were cleaned often and i never had to wait in line (in December). I found half of the staff extremely helpful (they helped me buy a charger cable and tripod, delivered on the same day) and the two younger women not so helpful. Id say this hostel reflects the price you pay. For me it wasnt bad at all, just like any budget hostel in europe/asia.

Walls are kind of thin - nothing ear plugs cannot fix 🙂 Two young female staff members seem to prioritize their tasks more than providing customer service (dunno, maybe it was a few busy days). Some of the locals smoke in the toilet, but thats actually a nation wide problem and not hostel specific.

Staff is grat, location is amazing, environment is wonderful! They have beverages and snacks to sell. They were very helpfull. I got seriously injured because I fell down in a hole at a sidewalk nearby and they also helped me with some medicine. O don't know what that was but it really worked! Lol

Showers...just two booths for a lot of people. But it is easy to solve, try to take shower in different times. It also is people's fault because some people take more than 15 minutes for a shower. Come on...do that at home!

It is a normal good hostel. What I enjoyed the Most was the hostel atmosphere. Lots of travelers. The staff is very friendly & helpful as well. Location is Perfect. I do not recommend the 6-bed rooms; 4-bed rooms are much better.

They clean a lot everyday; but like there is so many people, sometimes toilettes are not very clean. But ok for me. It would be better is the price was cheaper.

Good location, helpful staff, clean rooms and bathrooms. You can buy most of basic stuff, beers, soft drinks, instant noodles, snacks by the receptionist. Good aircon in the room.

The mattress are thick and very hard, it remembers me for the Russian 3rd class sleeping car "Platzkart"! 😀 They doesn't accept Visa and Mastercard even it is signed on their website and booking.com. Only the towel is included in the price, nothing else, for example there is no toilet paper in the toilets, you have to buy it at the reception! 😀
