Everything was good including breakfast, stagg, location, rooms, etc.

Language was an issue as most staff don't speak English and other languages apart from Chinese. There were selected staff who could communicate in English. The weather in April was cool in Shanghai not cold but the Hotels set their Air Conditioning to 22 degrees. Some people like myself felt quite hot since the comforters are very warm too. There are air conditioner controls in every room so each guest can control the temperature to what they are comfortable. But the Hotel locks the limit to 22 even if you set the temperature to the lowest value. They did provide me a fan with water and it did cool a little more but it is not fair since it is inconvenient and not worth the price paid.

The location was 10/10, which is the best thing about that hotel!! I cannot recommend this location enough, the famous Nanjing Street is next to the hotel with so many shopping malls and restaurants, and the subway is so good with the main line and easy to go everywhere. The hotel in itself is super comfortable, an enormous room with an amazing bathroom, and everything is super clean! the employee were so so so so nice!! I recommend you this hotel 10000%.

the pool was close which was a bit sad and we upgraded our room for a room with a view but we didn't get a view of the bund which was what we were expecting to have (it was the other side). Not that big of a deal but the price difference is a lot for the view so maybe be sure to be precise you want a view of the bund, if not I don't think the view is worth it on the other side for the price.

Beer prices at the Bar of 10-11 Euro even for small local produced chinese beers are simply too much

Location. It was few minutes away from ninjang road. There are 3 malls right under this hotel.

They do the normal cleaning & changing towels without taking care of the small things such as dust, food leftovers next to the garbage cans…

Near shopping district but yet on the quieter side of the road ; good customer service

Everthing was good, except it surprised me that at Shanghai Marriott that staffs did not speak English at the front desk. Luckily I do speak Chinese but my daughter and husband were having problem. Also, we were told that your swimming pool is close for maintainance every December. If that is the case, we will not be returning in the future. Because we do enjoy our morning swims. Otherwise, Thankyou!

Lack of English speaking even just very basic conversation used in hospitality. The house keeping lady we see in the morning was the only one who had a smile :)

The hotel is located near People Square that is a major transport hub for the full city. The location is really perfect for a stay within the busy center of Shanghai and is also very well connected to all airports and train stations with the convenient subway network. The rooms and the facilities are very well maintained and very clean, staff is very helpful and friendly. The noise isolation is really good and you don't hear anything from the rooms around you. Breakfast buffet is great with nice combinaison with Chinese and western style dishes.

Even if it's not a priority during a visit, the TV channels and entertainment on demand offer should be improved seriously. The current offer is not at the level of what you can expect from Marriott hotel at international level. Almost no international channels.

Excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Room are spacious and very nice, toilet perfectly clean with all amenities and beautiful view (18th floor). Breakfast was really good with constantly freshly baked selection of pastry and other food options. Additionally, there is a section where Chinese cuisine is offered so it's a real 10+ ! Hotel has a separate restaurant (2 if I am not wrong) as well as very nice lobby cafe and bar, serving diferentan food and drinks late into the night. As our flight was very late (23::50) on the check-out day the held our luggage for the whole day and person in charge at reception (Ms.Tina, if I remember correctly) allowed that we use shower at gym/swimming pool so that we can refresh and change our clothes after long day in Shanghai and before our flight. The location of the hotel is superb , with Nanjing road, People's Park and U1/U2/U8 metro stations 1min away. Next time in shanghai, I will have no doubt where to stay,

I honestly can't find anything that I didn't like in this hotel. I think this is the first time I am rating hotel with 10 in all segments. Kudos to all the people working there and running it.

I stayed here for 4 night on a business trip. The stay was very comfortable, specially the rooms, they were decent in size and very comfortable. The room service was extremely good and the staff extremely courteous. I did not opt for the breakfast as I am a pure vegetarian and it is difficult to find pure veg or eggless food, so cannot comment on the breakfast spread. Overall the property was huge and had almost all basic facilities. The location was superb, it was right in front of the Nanjing road, having easy access to everywhere in the city. Overall a very nice stay.

The location and accessibility to People’s Square Station and several eateries (from fast food to cafes to Shanghai snacks/food). The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Furnishings were modern and lobby was well lit. The buffet breakfast spread was reasonably good but we got bored after having it 5 days ina row. Staff were generally friendly.

Wifi in hotel was slow.
