If you're looking for a small, boutique hotel then you've found a fantastic option. The beach is right across the street and the hotel offers beach umbrellas and chairs to take for free. It's also very walk-able to the main streets and shops, but far enough that it's quiet during the night. We really enjoyed our stay!

The rooms are much smaller than we anticipated. There's also a lot of stuff in the rooms. It gives the hotel a cozy, bed-and-breakfast-type charm but there wasn't a lot of space to unpack and place our things We spent most of our time outside exploring so it wasn't a big deal for us.

Really nice small hotel in such a noisy and active place as Tamarindo is. The hotel sits in 3 mins driving (or 10 mins walk) from the main streets, shops, restaurants. The internal territory is nice and colorful. There's a common kitchen and place for your surfboard. Parking is in front of the building and it is safe. The room was quite big with everything needed for life here. Big bathroom and all facilities in good conditions. Staff was nice and friendly. You can easily reach main city area and stay quiet inside the hotel. Recommend.

Nothing to complain about.

Gorgeous! Set away from the road, v tranquil, 3 mins to the best quiet beach, 6 mins into the town centre. Outside facilities include a bbq, kitchen area, shower etc making the last day so easy. Pretty little verdant and quirky boho garden. Lovely friendly staff and fellow residents. Apt well equipped, clean, modern and nicely decorated.

Ground floor bathroom a bit dark and miserable due to outside foliage and fencing- maybe needs stronger lighting? Plus only one small mirror available- over the shadowy washbasin. Not serious defects, but could be considered.

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay here! It was perfect for what we were looking for. Nice room with kitchen to make breakfast, one minute walk to the beach. Really nice outdoor areas for eating and lounging. It's towards the more secluded part of Tamarindo, which we wanted, but at the same time was easily within walking distance of all the restaurants/beaches. We went out to Playa Langosta as well one day to watch the sunset. Highly recommend! Emanuel and the rest of the Tamarindo Sunshine crew were all very responsive. We will definitely try to stay here again whenever we make it back to Tamarindo!

This was really a perfect stay for me… The rooms are terrific - large and clean for sure, but also very stylishly designed and very well equipped - even in a room without a kitchen I still had a coffee maker (& coffee), kettle (& tea), toaster, plates & glasses, etc. The room also had a large balcony with seating above the garden, which was really nice.. big, comfy bed, nice shower.. everything in great shape and working well The garden is lovely and has seating and tables.. great for getting work done, reading, or just chilling.. very quiet environment away from the noise of the city.. 5 minutes walking gets you to the center of town The staffs here are terrific.. these are really nice people and they help you a lot.. great communications from the time of booking till the end.. connected to everyone in the community.. can’t say enough about the kindness and competency of Sol & all of the staffs.. Super loved this stay and would happily recommend to others

The property is tucked away across the street from the beach and away from any traffic. The property grounds are beautiful with many types of native plants…a mini jungle out the door. The host was very informative, welcoming, and very nice. My room was lovely and well appointed with attractive pieces that pulled the outside in. The bathroom was also well appointed. (I want to take the bathroom home with me.) And, my room, bathroom, and balcony were all well appointed, maintained, and EXCEPTIONALLY clean. Lastly, the friendly cleaning staff went the extra mile to maintain the high level of cleanliness and thoughtful pick up and organization of the room. They deserve great tips for their professionalism and high quality work ethic.

I think it would be nice to have at least one umbrella in the room for guests.

This was one of the best places we stayed at during our 4 months South America trip. Very charming place in a silent part of Tamarindo, but also a few minutes walking distance to the beach and 10 minutes to the bars/restaurants/markets. The kitchen in our studio was very well equipped. Very clean studio with daily housekeeping. They offer free beach chairs and towels, which is really nice. It’s owned by a nice family. They gave us lots of information and recommendations about what else to do around Tamarindo. We will definitely come back to this place!

our room was really nice, I loved how they personalised the rooms with furniture and decorations it was really unique. the balcony was also nice and the bathroom is stunning. our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. communication was great. the beach is less than 5 minutes walk away and there are loads of restaurants and bars nearby. Tamarindos main “strip” is also just 5-10 minute walk away.

the bathroom is partially open air which is really nice on one hand but does mean you need to watch for bugs/ lizards etc. not a big deal as you are in Costa Rica after all! just make sure you keep the bathroom door closed and you’ll be fine :)

Cozy apartment near the beach. Beach chairs and towels available to take to the beach. A nicely stocked kitchen with lots of utensils and spices. the bed was comfortable and the AC was cold. The staff was quick with the response when there was an issue. we didn’t have hot water but they were there within 5 minutes to correct the problem. Directions brought us directly to the property. Clean beach towels upon request. Gated property and we felt perfectly safe walking around at night.

There were no chairs to relax inside the apartment. I enjoy reading before bed and CR is very humid so I didn’t want to sit on the porch. There is NO TV which is fine for me but my husband likes to watch TV before bed when I read. I believe the property indicated there would be bicycles available but the ones on the property were broken.

We loved this place! it was very nicely decorated, super clean and comfortable and very close to the beach. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and very comfortable and there was also a shared outdoor kitchen for guests. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. This was one of our favourite stays in Costa Rica!
