The hotel looked very new, fresh looking and very clean. The staff were great, nothing troubled them, and they always greeted us with a smile. Mladen was great he was very friendly and often appeared at breakfast with a birthday cake in his hand , followed by the staff to sing happy birthday to whoever's happy day it was, he has great voice too. Our room on the second floor was large, as was the bathroom, large comfy bed, plenty of sockets, a safe and lots of space for your clothes, also a refrigerator. Nice TV, also a balcony with view to the front of the hotel, which overlooks the Adriatic. We had breakfast included, which was very good, plenty of choice, hot , cold, breads, pastries, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bacon etc etc. All very good. The hotel was near to a sister hotel, a five minute walk, this one had a freshwater swimming pool ( very cold, but fine once you got in ) You can use the restaurant there as well, as well as the beach bar/ restaurant, Bistro Oleander, which was very good, nice selection of food and snacks. Also in front of the Hotel Mlini was Basilico pizza pasta restaurant which was only open in the evening, and again did a good selection of dishes. And you could put the bill on all these restaurant's straight onto your room bill which was very easy. All in all a great first trip to Croatia, we will definitely return one day soon.

The only thing I can say here is there was only one English channel on the tv Sky news, and that kept losing signal, we love to have a cup of tea, first thing in the morning watching the news. But that is all I can fault.

This hotel was a truly delightful surprise! We just booked it for one night as a layover in Dubrovnik because it was close to the airport. We were overjoyed to find it was located right by the seaside in a beautifullyscenic area, and they upgraded our rooms to an ocean view. We were able to take a very short stroll down the boardwalk to several lovely restaurants right on the water. In addition, the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed, and the included breakfast was terrific with a huge variety. A great place to stay at a reasonable price.

We really enjoyed our time at the Maistra Select Mlini Hotel. There was so much we loved about our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean (in fact throughout the hotel was pristine) and comfortable. We had breakfast included in our stay and this was fabulous, so much choice that everyone had something they loved (The eggs Benedict royal were great!). The pool area was lovely and again very clean. We loved the Oleander Restaurant & Bistro which is close to the pool area and beach and had lunch here most days, we can highly recommend the Croatian street food kebab. We also had a fabulous meal at the Basilico Pizza Pasta Restaurant situated directly in front of the hotel. In terms of location, the hotel is situated in a great area with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. They are also very close to the water taxi service that takes you into Dubrovnik for a charge of €15 return which is a must for all visitors. The beach was lovely but make sure to take beach shoes as it is very rocky. Thanks to everyone for making our stay one we won't forget in a hurry!

There was a charge to use the sun beds and umbrellas on the beach which we really feel should have been included in your stay.

Me and my mother wanted to spend one week in a relaxing place away from the city crowds and Mlini was the perfect place for us. It is very calm and quiet and the hotel location is just perfect. The hotel restaurants are really good and affordable. The staff is exceptional, always friendly, smiling and professional. The breakfast was really delicious, staff there served us coffee every morning and we could order from the à la carte menu. Our room was very clean, spacious and with a sea view. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a calm and relaxing place outside of Dubrovnik. We took bus nr 10 to Dubrovnik and it took only 10-15min (a one way ticket is 2.90€). You can take the same bus to Cavtat which is a really picturesque small town worth a visit. You can also take the water taxi from the Mlini port just outside of the hotel and the ticket is 10€ to Cavtat and Dubrovnik. It’s only a 15min ride away from the airport too. I will definitely go back to Mlini.

Everything was lovely.

Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Food was of high quality. Suite was lovely and location amazing, right next to the sea. Restaurants Oleander and Basillico were both great, and lovely views of the sea.

Shared pool with sister hotel was very busy and a fight for the sun loungers. Clearly there are non guests using the pool too. However, when you did manage to get a lounger, the pool was great and very clean with lovely views of the sea.

Right near the centre, the lively little harbour and beach. The hotel was small enough to feel intimate and big enough to be really comfortable. The staff were amazing, professional, hard working and very friendly. The hotel was kept incredibly clean and tidy and the lady that serviced our room (Sonja) was amazing! She was so friendly and our room was spotless and the bathroom was shining after she had serviced our room each day. She also had a great sense of humour as she used to leave towels in the shape of animals by our cuddle toy for us to find each day. We loved the hotel, it has a wonderful team running it which makes for a lovely stay. The breakfasts are brilliant too!

Having to share the pool with it’s sister hotel meant we couldn’t always find a sun-bed and had to go to the beach where there is a charge for umbrellas and sun-beds (20 Euros for 2 beds and a brolly). We were aware of this through reviews before we stayed so were prepared and it was lovely swimming in the the sea everyday so we were relaxed about the extra cost.

Absolutely wonderful hotel! Beautifully decorated spacious rooms and spotlessly clean. We had a room on the top floor with wonderful sea views. Loved the heat reflective glass on the balcony and patio windows too, which meant it didn’t get too hot while sat out or in the room. Breakfast was very good and the staff very attentive. The pool area was beautiful and the sunbeds plentiful. In a fabulous peaceful position with some nice restaurants close by . We will definitely return

Nothing not to like

The location and the ambience was amazing. We got a room partially facing the sea. They have a live performance every night in the Pizzeria. Soothing music with the sound of waves is a perfect combination for a relaxing holiday. The staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was nice.

- We had to pay for beach beds in the private beach. Dont expect this from a 4star hotel. - The beach and swimming pool is shared with their sister hotel.

The hotel is located right beside the beach in a beautiful, picturesque village. The rooms are as shown on the website; spacious, with fresh decor and spotlessly clean. There is an excellent and wide variety of delicious hot and cold food for breakfast, and the waiting staff are attentive, professional and see that your coffee cup is continually filled etc. Wonderful staff! The pool is located 2 minutes around the corner in the sister hotel with ample sunbeds and a separate pool for the children. There are bathroom facilities at the pool, which are continually cleaned and maintained by staff. We dined in the adjacent Basilico restaurant, overlooking the sea, and the pasta and pizzas were excellent! Again the waiting staff made us feel very welcome; so much so that we ate there most nights! There is a taxi boat right outside the hotel that takes you on a 15 to 20 minute journey to Dubrovnik for 15 euro return! I would highly recommend this stunning hotel! It was very good value for money and the staff were so welcoming. Sincere gratitude to the manager who helped me with a little problem I had; you made my holiday all the more special. Mlini, Croatia I hope to visit again!

Super comfortable and well designed hotel, with the friendliest staff you could imagine. No matter what, they were there for you. Great breakfast buffet and amazing pool and gym facilitated with the most comfortable and large bed of our entire trip. Cannot wait to come back here again.

The two restaurants (Oleander and Basilico) don’t serve great or fresh food at all. Please be wise and walk around the corner to enjoy better food for the same money value for example at bistro G.
