We enjoyed our stay, nice spot to base ourselves for a few days to explore national parks and seaside towns. The breakfast was good, selection of meats and cheese, fresh fruit and bread with a couple of other options. It’s a gorgeous property, looks just like the photos. It’s easy to find and there’s plenty of parking. Food at the restaurant for dinner was great too.

No one pointed out many of the facilities when we checked in, just unlocked the room and gave us the hours for breakfast. The beds were soft, might be to some people’s liking though!

Authentic stay in Croatia. If You looking for something extraordinary with some history and super tasty food in authentic restaurant - this should be Your choice. Highly recommend it for short stay or if You are planning some kind of event and you need authentic atmosphere and restaurant with amazing food.

We had a lovely room with old-world charm. Lots of storage space. Comfortable bed. Easy to find. You park outside the walls, there was plenty of space. It seemed like locals had attended an event there on Sunday. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there on Sunday night, and prices were reasonable. Breakfast was varied and plentiful.

Information about the restaurant opening hours would have been good to know beforehand.

Really unusual and special place to stay because of it's uniqueness and countryside charm. We had the apartment and initially we thought it was a little damp and dark, but once the aircon was on and the daylight faded, the room was was delightful. Really charming place. Not really near civilisation but you can go for walks and explore some of the local countryside and the wetlands nearby. We used it as a base to explore Sibenek and Zadar. My mother wasn't able to eat anything on the evening menu and the staff were happy to accomodate her making a special cheese platter for her. Mostly they were really lovely and accomodating.

Not a hotel to hang out in all day, it would be lovely if there was an area outside the wall to sit and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside, but a lovely place for breakfast and dinner and a good night's sleep. One of the staff was a little grumpy at breakfast. It's a bit of a distance from the car park over cobbles to your room across the courtyard, but again the staff were very accomodating because of my mother's mobility issues and allowed us to drive in to drop off and pick up bags.

Very unique and amazing accommodation providing a great experience that will you have glowing with excitement! Lovely location off the beaten track but yet a 10 min ride to nice beaches. Right next to Vransko Jezero, a big lake popular among bird watchers. Excellent restaurant. The apartment is spacious and special with its stone walls. We stayed at the Han in November and were the only guests for two nights which was amazing. They also have a little museum.

Unfortunately no vegetarian dishes on the menu but staff was very helpful to prepare individual dishes each night!

Really nice and qualitative breakfast, not a lot to choose from but was definitely enough. Hotel is very unique, in a quiet area, basically in the middle of nowhere, so you must have a car.

It was heavily raining the second night and water was leaking around exterior door, so we had to put a towel. There was barely any internet signal in the room.

We stayed at the Maskovica Han hotel in the middle of a recent three-week trip to Croatia. The hotel is a beautiful, unique setting and we really felt like we were staying in a castle! Our bedroom was lovely and well-appointed, and the price was very reasonable. Two features of the hotel really stood out for us: First, the amazing breakfast (chocolate croissant and other pastries, cappuccino, eggs-to-order, and a wonderful meat/cheese/bread platter every morning). Second, the staff! They were incredibly polite, attentive, available, and kind. I had a severe medical emergency while staying there (a kidney stone!) and the hotel staff took such excellent care of me, calling a local hospital and doing absolutely everything they could do to help, especially with the language barrier. I can't express my thanks enough. And what better place to convalesce than my own room in a castle!

We booked this lovely hotel before coming back from two weeks in Croatia and we loved it. The restaurant makes you feel like you are in this medieval hall and the food was excellent. The staff was great from reception to restaurant, couldn’t ask for more. The highlight was definitely the private jacuzzi, sauna and shower. It comes as an additional charge of 150 kunas each person for 1h30min, but it was totally worth it for the privacy and relaxation before a bottle of red wine at the bar.

Amazing! If you stay here, walk around at night and squeeze your eyes... And you will almost see Jusuf Maśkoviç and his court walking around. If feels like real life 1001 night but with modern amenities. Add a super nice diner to it and you can imagine why this was one of our best stays in Croatia.

The hotel staff felt a little bit "done with the summer season". Totally NOT unfriendly (!) but they wanted to rushed a little too much. So the reception "forgot" to tell the wellness was closed for the day after (the day we planned to use it). And the waiter at the dinner rushed us through the fastest (but amazing tasting!) fine dinner we ever had! 😂 Non-the-less we had a great time!

We really liked the food in the restaurants. Waiters were legendary. Staying in the castle or the fortress, or better say medieval inn, which is the western most castle from Turkish age, behind the thick wall was very nice, bed was very comfortable.

Bathroom was little dated, like bathroom door harder to close and the shower cabin had some mold.
