Charming hotel with the old times vibe in the vicinity of the beautiful Hluboka castle settled in the cutest, most picturesque town of Hluboka. The entire area sends you back in time in the most positive way. Very good breakfast and a super pleasant and light dining area. Friendly and hospitable staff. Rooms are spacious and clean.

It was rather warm on the days we stayed in the hotel and the lack of cooling systems would be the only negative point I would make about this nice place that we would very much like to come back to.

Positioned close to the Hloubka Castle (beautiful castle) within a walking distance. Peacefull location and spaceious room with clean bathroom, although it has a shower in a tub with a curtain. Private parking and working WiFi. For golf players is a perfect spot due to a nearby golf course with a beautiful view to a castle above.

No really negative points. Access to parking is really narrow (even with a car there are centimeters on each side of free space when driving through a passage, can't imagine a van) and breakfast with reception is in a nearby building.

The room was actually not in the Podhrad hotel but in a different building next to the main hotel. The parking was good and the room was clean with a magnificent view over the golf course and mountains in the distance, very nice. The room was very quiet and very clean. The breakfast and spa facilities were excellent, definitely recommended.

The fact we were in a different building and not told during booking, a little honesty would go a long way.

Our room was in a separate building, close but not expected.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The breakfast was good, the location was great, and the room was clean. While it's not luxurious, it suited our needs well. We particularly enjoyed the wellness facilities, including the sauna, pool, and whirlpool, which were perfect after a day of sightseeing. The restaurant at the hotel was good, and the great hotel location allowed us to explore nearby restaurants too. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

excellent facilities. I had read some negative reviews so I got conscious. But the hotel exceeded my expectations. Spacious room. Clean linen and bed covers with mini bar and fridge. Super clean toilet with bathtub and necessary toiletries. Staff was super helpful.

There was nothing to dislike but one must know that this hotel is around famous castle. Everything closes by 8pm or 9pm. If you are planning late night dinner better have it 7 or 8pm.

Exceptionally well furnished and spacious room. The bathroom was equipped with a deep, comfortable bath which was a highlight of our stay. Breakfast was varied and the check in, check out times were generous. The hotel is located amongst good restaurants and is a short walk to the beautiful castle. The town is a popular tourist destination, but is highly recommended for a night or two. Wi-Fi was excellent.

The room would have benefitted from tea/coffee making facilities, even at an increased charge. The hotel restaurant was on the pricey side, although the standard of service and food was good.

The hotel is using parts of a historical large building. I also noticed that the hotel has yet another historical building at the turn of the road, to be used for its facilities probably much later since the building needs extensive restoration. Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was very well prepared and had a great verity. the location is very pleasant with many local visitors, cyclists, hikers... which creates a very pleasant and sporty atmosphere.

The carpet in our room was not new and had some spots indicating it has been in use for a long period. The bath tube was too high, some 60 cm, which makes it extremely dangerous specially for the elderly people who might hurt themselves getting in or out of it. I was interested to know a little more about the history of the building(s) being used as parts of the hotel but the reception did not have any printed or electronic material neither any initial information and referred me to google. The buildings have special architectural character and are worth being cared for and presented befittingly.

Location was great, just under the castle, close to the city center and to the lakes.

When booking it was not obvious we will not stay in a main building but in dependance. It was close by, but I would still prefer the main building. Room was ok. Welness was a bit small, for 2 ppl fine but I cant imagine 8 as its maximum. There would not be sufficient resting chairs. Pool is small.

Location was perfect - close to the trails/road to the Hluboka nad Vltavou castle (chateau). Rooms were bigger, comfortable, and clean. Breakfast was good - all kinds of breads, veggies, fruit, cheese, ham, eggs, coffee, etc.

No air conditioning - at night it go really hot. Shower situation - it was a bath and there was no curtains, so when taking shower/bath the water would splash everywhere.
