Beautiful hotel and property and gardens/grounds. People were very nice and accommodating. Wonderful meal at the steak house on the property and wonderful brunch on Sat/Sun.

The light from the hallway was cast into our room during the night. Our room was very near the elevator, so we heard it all night long. On Saturday night there was a function that took over the entire hotel. If you don't eat at the steak house, the only other place to eat dinner in the hotel is the Tap bar. The Tap bar was closed due to the event. The front desk was able to give us a can of Coke though. There is no gift shop so we could not get toothpaste when we realized we forgot ours.

We absolutely loved the well manicure, spacious and beautiful grounds decorated for the holidays. Beautiful views near every sitting area and throughout the property. The staff was incredibly helpful. Every person went out of their way to be polite, friendly and helpful.

The bathroom needs a deep cleaning including the grout in the tile floor. The carpeted was frayed a little at the seam when you open the hotel room door and the tile in the bathroom was old and dirty. Also, there needs to be more complementary coffee in the morning. Lastly, the food was way too expensive for what was received. We tried one meal at The Terrace and we were not impressed so we ate all of our meals out.

Beautiful grounds, elegant rooms, and we felt like we were miles away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, yet less than 10 minutes from Old Town Pasadena. Staff was excellent, attentive, friendly, and provided superior service.

Several venues were closed for private events during our 10-night stay which was disappointing that they weren’t held in meeting rooms or the ballrooms instead of closing down a restaurant or the Tap Room that should be open to the public.

I love the Langham - I loved it when it was the Ritz and the Sheraton. The best hotel in Pasadena and very close to downtown LA. Just a fantastic hotel and beautiful property with top of the line amenities and services. Highly recommend the spa. Jessica at the Tap Room is also a fantastic - highly recommend visiting her at the bar! The Langham is also a great choice if you are staying downtown as it's only a 10-15 min drive downtown (without traffic of course) so it's a great alternative to staying in the hotels downtown that are near skid row (I just generally try to avoid downtown LA if possible).

Nothing really - it's a beautiful historic property in the middle of one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Pasadena - what's not to love!

The staff at the Tap Room AND the Terrace were very accommodating and attentive - the food was very good. The hotel was pet friendly to an older small dog.

The hostess at the Terrace was very mechanical and disinterested - and difficult to understand (she was from France she said). The noise at the Terrace on the patio was quite loud due to resurfacing the pool deck - grinding machinery. Though I know this type of work has to be done sometime - it was very distracting to the beautiful surroundings and our conversation (we sat outside because we had a small dog with us)

We loved the pool and the beautiful garden. The breakfast was delicious and everything worked well.

I had several months in advance requested a specific room. I had written and called in advance and said that it would be important for me to have the specific room, but when we arrived the room was not available. I would honestly expect that the hotel would be able to accommodate such a simple request. When my family and I book at Four Seasons they ask us if we would like the same room as last time. Small thing, but didn’t live up to my expectations.

It's a beautiful historic property. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was quite comfortable.

We did ask to switch rooms when we arrived, as the first room assigned to us overlooked the parking area, loading dock and a line of trash cans. But the staff helped relocate us to a room with a lovely view of the courtyard. Once ensconced in the hotel, we ended up eating at the bar and had room service for breakfast. The meals were expensive and the bar menu was limited. We could have gone out, but the only parking is via valet, and we didn't want to come and go too often. Overall, we had a good experience. Just a bit expensive.

Lovely tranquil spot away from the city centre. Room was large with comfy bed and excellent bathroom. Pool area is relaxing, the tuna salad was delish. All staff we encountered were helpful and professional. Perfect spot to recover from a 12 hour flight. Loved that we could avoid morning LA gridlock and get straight on the highway to begin our adventure.

Only minor quibble is the age one of the elevator’s took, we ended up using one at the opposite end of our floor, only an issue really as my husband was recovering from a broken leg.

Lovely property. Pool cocktails and afternoon tea were excellent. Very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom (stained marble notwithstanding) with well-designed shelf large enough to hold lots of items. Good bedside lighting.

1) Check-in was slow and inefficient and my room was very far away from the main building, which resulted in a $20 parking charge to my daughter, who lives in Pasadena and had driven me from the airport, because I couldn't complete check-in within the allotted and inadequate 15 minutes. I don't expect this kind of tacky nickel-and-diming from an upscale and very expensive hotel. 2) My room was described as having a garden view. This turned out to be a view of the street with a strip of lawn, so hardly as anticipated. 3) The staff were generally lovely, with the exception of the valet desk. 4) Room very ordinary; no amenities such as a coffee maker or working refrigerator.

The pool w wonderful as were the rooms. And the staff was great.

We tried 3 of the five food venues. Mediocre for the $. The pool Hideaway Bar closed by 4 on weeknights which was very disappointing. We only ate the guacamole and chips and it was good not great. The Terrace, which overlooked the pool was only open for dinner on Saturdays and Sundays. We are there one Sunday and the food was not especially good. We would say the same for the room service options. Mediocre. It was very disappointing especially for the prices.
