The facility issued breakfast coupons for the restaurant next door, which meant the meal was fresh instead of sitting in a buffet. The room had recently been refurbished, very clean with excellent beds. The staff were pleasant and very helpful with all the questions we asked. Our room faced the river with excellent views. Even the trains running below the facility on that side were not a problem. Actually they were quite interesting, and not very noisy due to the very gradual grade in that section of the track.

The business room was inoperative. Wanted to print something, but couldn't.

The food at the restaurant next door was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised to discover the breakfast vouchers were for that restaurant. We didn't realize the number of trains traveling through on the tracks between the hotel and the river, but we loved the sounds of the trains and horns as they went by. Earplugs were provided if the sounds bothered anyone but we didn't need them. Perfect distance from the many waterfalls where we went hiking.

The room was a little pricey but worth it for the convenience to hiking trails and good food!

We had a double queen with a balcony. The view outside the room was spectacular. We sat and enjoyed the view of the Columbia river every afternoon. The location was nice and close to the waterfall corridor plus Portland and Hood River. We got a chance to go to the Bonneville Dam and see the returning Salmon, plus huge sturgeon. It was a very nice fish hatchery. There was also breakfast included with our room that was served at an adjacent restaurant. It had several options.

I would have liked room service every day but I think that most hotels aren't offering that anymore, since the Pandemic. My husband would have liked a bigger balcony but I didn't mind since the view was so pretty.

Breakfast tickets were provided for a limited menu at the restaurant next door. The food was good. Restaurant was clean. Staff were cordial. The hotel rooms were exceptionally clean and I thanked them for that. Probably one of the cleanest small town hotels i have ever stayed in, and one of the cleanest BW hotels i ever stayed in. The hotel smelled fresh and didn't have any "stale smell" often found in hotels. I will definitely stay at this location again. The hotel staff were all very kind and personable. They went above and beyond with hotel and local information. HOLLY that checked us in was delightful and recognized my member status, she adjusted my rate for the stay based on that info since the booking website didn't ask for that info, etc. Excellent customer service!

The automatic coffee pot/cappuccino machine downstairs at the lobby wasn't working..but I heard from another patron that it is the best coffee. He was very bummed it was down that evening.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are nice with a majestic view of the Columbia River! I love that they include earplugs in the room for the noise of trains that pass. There is a coffee machine in the lobby that is outstanding! There is a pool, jacuzzi and fitness room available, plenty of parking and a restaurant next door for your included hot breakfast choice. Everything about this hotel is geared towards the guests' comfort and it really shows!

The only thing I may have had an issue with is that you have to ask for a room clean each day as they don't automatically clean the rooms daily, but alot of hotels are doing that now since Covid so it's understandable. I often forget, so that's on me.

Had a room with a river view and balcony with two chairs and small table. Beautiful. Amenities were great--shampoo, condition, lotion, soaps, etc. Nice to have a coffee maker, small microwave, and refrigerator. The breakfast is a decent full meal--many choices. Free parking. Can walk to several restaurants and park.

I had stayed at this BW before and therefore knew about the train that runs about twice/hour very close by and below the hotel. I turned the air on low for white noise and did not have a problem sleeping, but some people might find the noise too much. The hotel does provide ear plugs.

Great location in Cascade Locks within walking distance of everything in town and within driving distance of multiple trailheads. Room was spacious and well-equipped. All the staff were fantastic, helpful, polite, and my room was spotless.

Train noise outside took a little getting used to. I can see why ear plugs are provided but pretty quickly I just tuned it out.

Location and staff tie for #1. Right on the river in a quaint little town. Close to lots of great hiking as you would expect being literally the only town right on the PCT. The staff is great and the hotel is a good value. The breakfast restaurant has amazing views of the river and The Bridge of the Gods.

Very nice accommodations, comfortable beds, nice amenities, and friendly staff. I loved the included breakfast at the restaurant next door. So many options and the food was very good! We also liked that Skamania lodge was right across the bridge where we booked space services. Big plus.

We were not informed that the rooms were cleaned only by request, so the first 2 days, we returned to a dirty room and had to request towels and garbage service. We thought it was automatically cleaned each day. Lots of trains going by, a bit loud.

Comfortable and roomy room. Large comfortable bed. Friendly staff gave advice on where to eat dinner (can recommend Thunder Island brewery). Good breakfast options in the cafe next door.

Compared to other hotels on our recent travels in the north-west, this was expensive. But there was not much choice in town and it’s in a great spot along the Columbia River.
