I booked this hotel bcc it was the closest one with good reviews to my cruise ship (once I got off from it). My stay really exceeded my expectation! The wifi was okay, and the staff was really helpful, especially when I had a disagreement with a local taxi driver. The facilities were modernised and the room was clean. Bonus point: the view of the Nile and Aswan street were incredible! really happy to stay here for the New Years Eve!

Wifi can sometimes be a bit slow. The coffee shop was supposed to open at 5am but I missed it two mornings in a row. The receptionist told me they didn't have a taxi driver to drive me to Temple of Philae, which was surprising.

We left Citymax Aswan with the best impressions. Its location is perfect, the view of the Nile is stunning and you will find everything you need (ATMs, food, the local market etc) right next to it. Ms Martina and Mr Mohammed are excellent professionals, and everyone was helpful, assisting us in everything. They made sure we have a good time and helped us navigate in Aswan. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. There's wifi everywhere. Breakfast is rich and has many options (local, vegan etc). Usually, during our journeys we prefer to eat in various places, but we gave a try to Citymax restaurant and the food was great in quality, quantity and price. Definitely recommended!

It was on the Marina, in front of the River Nile. Great location. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Mr Mohamed from the reception gave us an upgrade to a room with a balcony with a splendid Nile view. The room was very spacious. The view was amazing especially at sunset. Another staff from the reception, Mr Mahmoud, organised all our sightseeing trips. The driver for the trips was also named Mr Mahmoud and he was great, a very good driver and guide. He was very helpful and patient, allowing us plenty of time at the sights. We definitely recommend Mr Mahmoud as driver for any sightseeing tours. The hotel organised our transfer to Luxor by private car with stops at Kom Ombo temple and Edfu Temple, with the driver Mahmoud. There’s also a pool on the rooftop and a café on the rooftop.

Great size room, clean and comfortable. We were in a room towards back of building with a view forward to Nile, which was very quiet, we slept so well. Lovely open area on roof of building and comfortable sitting area within reception, with coffe shop. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money.

Breakfast was buffet style and more limited if up early - did miss Chef being availabke for our morning eggs!

I would like to say special thanks to Fatena. Her customer service has been beyond professionalism. Once more thank you (Fatena) for your polite behavior and well spoken English. You deserve upgrade as you are enlighten CityMax hotel Citymax hotel has excellent customer service, very clean, literally 30 meters away from the river Neil and has the best view in town. This hotel was way better than expected. It should be 5*. As a traveler I can say that this CityMax Hotel is one of the best in Egypt. Thank you all for your warm welcome. I felt so special during my stay.

We would like say thank you to Mr. Salah, the front desk manager of Citymax Aswan. He speaks perfect English and helped us a lot. Including to make phone call to the tour company which listed on BOOKING.COM. No one came to pick us up, and the phone number posted on Booking.com was impossible to reach out. We tried so many time to contact BOOKING.COM though, they just didn’t response and ignore us at all. And our money didn’t get refund yet til now. Book tour thru Citymax hotel should be a reliable choice. Strongly suggest NOT to book any tour from booking.com, it’s a scam!!!

Location was very good, the room was much bigger than expected with everything you might need for a short stay. It was clean and very comfortable, breakfast was excellent and the staff was lovely.

Only comment i have is that i needed transportation from the hotel to Aswan Airport, and to avoid scams on the street i requested the ride in reception and i was charged 950 egyptian pounds, later i found out a taxi cab on the street would've charged me 180 Egyptian pounds. There is no Uber service in Aswan, tip: use In Drive app

The location and the views from our room, we could see the Nile and Elephantine island from our room. The staff was very helpful and kind, especially when our suitcases did not arrive to Aswan, they called the airport to arrange the delivery.

We were at the last floor and it was still noisy. The traffic in Aswan is crazy even at night, so it was a bit difficult to have a proper sleep. Better isolation would help. We arranged with the hotel a taxi to pick us up from the airport but the driver never showed up.

Great location and friendly staff. It's perfect for a short stay if you're going on a river cruise.

The beds were a bit too hard for our liking. Unfortunately, the balcony door in room 517 wasn't able to shut properly, so the nosie from the streets were quite noticeable and disturbing. It's not a 4-star hotel that I was expecting for over a 100usd for a night, not including breakfast.

The hotel is a modern building located in Aswan city centre on the main road parallel to the Nile. It is not far from the train station and very close to the souk. The room we stayed was on the fifth floor and had a superb view over the Nile. The room was well equipped and comfortable.

It seems a common problem in Egypt, the sound isolation of the windows was very bad and considering that the hotel is located on Aswan main road there was quite some noise even at the fifth floor.
