During my stay everything was perfect - good spa with long working hours, very delicious breakfast, nice location

Unfortunately all my positive impression was ruined during check out. I went to reception and asked if it would be possible to leave the room earlier (at 11 AM) and spend 2 hrs in Spa because my bus was schedule for 14. The receptionist was very rude and said after check out i am not hotel guest anymore and must pay 30 eur for using spa. It was very unpleasant conversation especially taking into account i already spent 500+eur during my stay. The receptionist said it was my problem and she did not care. On my opinion, the hotel could offer spa visits at least for discounted prices and not to be so rude and greedy. I was really disappointing at the end and that was an example how to ruin positive client experience in 5 min

The highlight of our stay at this hotel was definitely the restaurant. The food, especially the dinner, was excellent, and our waiter was both friendly and funny. Breakfast offered a variety of options, from local specialties to simple choices like ham, eggs, or an English breakfast with beans. The bread was especially tasty – I definitely need the recipe! 😆 The staff were all very nice and helpful. Since the hotel was fully booked, parking space was limited, so we parked on the street for free. I also appreciated their low-waste policy: rubbish bins were available on each floor, and guests were encouraged to take only the food they would actually eat.

The spa was very overcrowded; the best time to visit was between 11 AM and 2 PM. Unfortunately, the spa’s cleanliness was also lacking—there was a bandage lying next to the warm pool for three days straight. We’re used to sauna etiquette where sauna sheets are provided, but here, only towels were available, and people were sitting in swimsuits. Perhaps it was just bad luck, but we found two large spiders in our room, which made for a rather unsettling stay. Additionally, the room lacked basic amenities like slippers and a fridge.

Excellent location-so peaceful with glorious views over the lake; opportunities to walk and cycle . The Spa is available to all hotel guests with numerous saunas, cold and warm pools; swimming; steam room; salts to exfoliate and black mud masks! Breakfast is buffet style with a huge selection to suit all palates. The onsite spa offers a variety of treatments-mud wraps; salt rooms; active rollers along with facials and massages. Sigrid is an excellent practitioner-try the Gua Shi stone massage facial-highly recommended!

Nothing to dislike-the rooms aren’t large and some bathrooms are currently being refurbished. Spa robes are provided for all guests.

From the outside, the hotel is something of an eyesore in the best 1960s Soviet sanatorium style. Inside, however, is a very pleasant surprise: everything is modern, sleek and clean. Access to rooms (and the spa building entrance) is by a rubber bracelet worn on the wrist, so there are no keys or key cards. The room itself was comfortably air-conditioned, an absolute necessity in Haapsalu in summer as mosquitoes and other tiny biting insects are abundant and voracious. The whole place is scrupulously clean: whichever way you turn, the staff are always busy industriously polishing or vacuuming something. The food in the restaurant, both at breakfast and dinner, was very good. The location is very good: on a beautiful, quiet lake, no more than 5-10 minutes’ walk from the town centre.

In a hotel this size and quality, in a regional capital like Haapsalu, it was absolutely astonishing to find that both the restaurant and the bar closed very promptly at 10pm. Even as hotel residents we were turned away, despite having been told by the restaurant waitress that we could have our coffees in the bar (because the restaurant was closing…). Furthermore, the bartender was curt and unhelpful to the point of rudeness. When I tried to explain that we had been told that she was still open and we could have our coffees in the bar, she just said abruptly, “No, I’m closed” and turned away abruptly.

All the waterjets and showers worked at max, the steam bath was truly warm and misty, all the saunas were hot. The breakfast was good for my two days stay, you might get tired of the breakfast in case you stay for a week or two. Children in the spa were surprisingly well educated, I was prepared for more noise and running because it was school holyday.

Nobody answered my numerous phone calls from outside during 3 hours, it just repeated "all our lines are busy at the moment". It was between 18 and 20 on Friday.

Excellent SPA zone, the best I have been so far: size fits well for the size of the hotel/number of the guests, it was never overcrowded even if the hotel was fully booked. a lot of different saunas, jacuzzi, pools, well done design. Rich breakfast! I am very happy about choice/price/quality of the treatments. Location of the hotel is close to the main sightseeings. Personnel is very kind, friendly and supportive.

Room is small, bathroom is really tiny, but the most important, that there aren't ANY storage places in the room, no wardrobe, no shelves in the bathroom, no even a place to put a luggage etc. There are no kettle and cups. All these things are essential for stay longer then 1 night, as it is assumed by the SPA hotel concept. Room hadn't been cleaned during our 3 nights stay, even if we put a label "Please, make up the room" (((

I have been to most SPA hotels in Estonia, so I have significant experience with these types of accommodations in this country. The facilities were great, SPA area was very good with a very nice variety of saunas and baths. The SPA was very clean and well kept. The massage at the care area was one of the best I’ve received in Estonia. An extra special mention goes out to the breakfast buffet that had one of the best varieties and quality I’ve seen in Estonian breakfast buffets. An extensive choice of cold salads, warm savory foods, pastries, porridges and sweets. Truly 11/10 for a hotel breakfast buffet. The hotel room was beautiful and comfortable, with a small caveat that I will explain further on in the negative comments section.

The hotel rooms ventilation was very poor, especially in the toilets. Additionally some strange “stagnant water” smells sometimes wafted through the room. Some airing by opening the windows fixed the problems but if it is -10 C outside, how often do you want to do that? Overall it was a relatively minor issue and not too impactful for our stay as everything else about the visit was brilliant.

Great location, quiet, recently renovated, pool + sauna spa section compact yet versatile - especially enjoyed the view over the bay from one of the saunas. Pool + saunas open until 10pm. Good breakfast.

Nowhere to put clothes in the room, just a few hangers, that's all. No fridge nor safety box in the room. Saunas only open after 10am. Bicycle hire with basic 3-speed bikes relatively expensive at 5e/hour - would have expected at least properly inflated tires at that price.

The lobby section is great, snacks are delicious.

That would be amazing if SPA could have at least 1 hour of "18+" setup, for example at 21:00-22:00. The SPA is full of small children and loud voices in all the saunas and relaxation areas. It is impossible to relax in a sauna when 6 small kids are there. So I would recommend the hotel make at least 1 hour of child-free time in the SPA. In our room, the electric sockets were on the wall, opposite the bed. So nothing next to the bed, where you could charge your phone. At the breakfast, there were no fried eggs or the omelette. Also no green leaf salad.

We were graciously allowed to check in an hour earlier than scheduled. The staff was professional and polite, enhancing our stay with their courteous service. The magnetic wristband keys are a fantastic touch – very convenient! Our children had a great time at the SPA. A big thank you for providing our dog with a soft pillow and a bowl! The robes provided were appropriately sized for our children, which we appreciated. It's very convenient that the SPA offers separate towels. The complimentary lemon water at the SPA was a refreshing detail. The SPA is equipped with a swimsuit dryer, which we found very useful. The lighting in the SPA creates a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was good, with a satisfactory variety of options.

The Deluxe room isn't quite suitable for families with children due to the lack of separate sleeping areas. Large queues for breakfast due to poorly thought-out layout. For instance, placing the coffee machine and juice station separately could alleviate the congestion. Additionally, a separate section for children’s food like pancakes, Nutella, donuts, and other sweets might improve the flow and accessibility.
