Everything is excellent: free parking, very nice and helpful staff, very comfortable beds, clean everywhere, delicious breakfasts, a great restaurant with delicious food and a rich wine list, and above all with competent waiters. Special thanks to Mart !!! The tap water is perfect to drink and the free daily glass of wine is a hit. Perfect base for a few days to explore the Faroe Islands and not far from Torshavn town centre. I will definitely come back here. Thank you very much.

Pretty much everything. The location of the hotel is perfect as it's out from the centre but very accessible by foot (10 minutes down hill) or you can take a bus with a stop just outside the hotel. There's so much choice for breakfast which is great as it allows you to have something different everyday if you wish to. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Essentially, everything is great and I definitely recommend it.

Nothing really. The only slight thing which isn't a criticism as it was more of an oversight was that the shower gel container was left empty for a couple of nights and the bath mat was removed and not replaced for part of our stay. However, once I made the staff aware of this it was sorted. Like I say this isn't really a negative and didn't impact our visit.

I liked the location, being elevated and short walk into town, and very close to the National Art Museum. The hotel had a fresh contemporary vibe and loved the painting done by Faroe Island artist Edward Fuglo over our bed. Also appreciated the wine hour and found the lobby cozy and charming. Buffet breakfast was good though I would have loved to have some bagels with cream cheese to use with the fantastic salmon. I found the staff very helpful especially one young lady who helped us out with delivering our pizza and getting us a portable heater.

I felt the room could have been a little toastier in its temperature warmth. And, as mentioned above would have loved to have a bagel to toast with cream cheese with capers and take advantage of your delicious salmon.

Very nice hotel and rooms with a modern feel. Well laid out desk and luggage storage and the "cozy" lighting in the rooms is really neat. The dining area for breakfast and dinner looked very nice, although I did not make use of them (got my own food or went to other restaurants). Plenty of parking around the hotel and a very fast drive to downtown Torshavn, or maybe 15-20 minutes to walk (I did both).

Overall the room was great, I'm really just nitpicking here. It would be nice if the minibar wasn't completely full so that guests can put their own items in the refrigerator. The hallway had a slight smell of mushrooms (food), perhaps from the dining area down the hall. The rear entrance at bottom floor is not secure, the door was unlocked at all hours (there was a room key FOB there, but it wasn't needed to open the door). These items did not detract from my stay at all.

Clean and modern with very friendly staff. Offered a good breakfast with an extensive selection of options from pastries and cold meat to hot options like eggs and bacon. Coffee machine in the room was a great touch and the ability to buy souvenirs and postcards from reception was helpful for a busy long weekend stay.

Shower drain blocked up fairly early in the stay, although this was quickly seen to by the housekeeping staff. The hot tub is charged at DKK200 per person per hour. Whilst it being out in the fresh air was nice, some level of protection from rain showers mid session would be a worthwhile addition to the experience.

Excellent breakfasts, dinners, ability to order from the bar area. The staff were very helpful and pleasant during my visit.

On my first night, March 1, 2024 I was kept awake by abnormal sounds from the room above. It went on for hours. I spoke with the staff the next morning; they were aware of the situation and apologized. What I experienced during the rest of my stay in room 012 was that the slightest moving of furniture or sound above the room was heard in #012. I am not sure if that is the situation in all the rooms on level 0 but it can be annoying.

We liked the hotel, it has many facilities like gym with Pilares Reformer, Sauna and Hot tub. The hotel has plenty of free parking, although badly distributed. The room was comfortable , we were able to use the space next to the central desk to put our two full size bags open. The bathroom was OK in size and the shower had thermostat faucet. There was a expreso machine and a stocked mini bar. The room was very quiet, and it had a window that could be open to let cool wind inside. The smart TV in the room has cromecast and you can stream from your device (netflix, music, etc). The first level restaurant was excellent and well priced, we didn’t took the breakfast as we had other plans. Apparently there was a complementary wine every day between 5 and 6, but we don’t drink. I will come back happily.

Coffee in the room could have been better. The sauna and hot tubs are segregated by gender, which for many couples and families takes away the charm and we actually didn’t use it due to that.

The hotel is about a 20-minute walk into the city center (but be prepared for an uphill walk back to the hotel). Parking was easy and readily available. We appreciated the option to order a packed lunch to go and loved the breakfast that was included with our room! Super comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially the front desk staff and bartender. Although we weren't often at the hotel at 5:00, the complimentary wine hour was a nice touch.

Rooms are on the smaller side, but listings are transparent, so make sure to choose a larger room if desired.

The breakfast may be the best I’ve ever had. The buffet is enormous with delicious salmon, lots of cereals, chia pots, fruit, lots of juices and much more. Clearly a lot of effort put into it. The hotel location seems average to begin with, but it’s next to a big pine forest which was the highlight of the capital. We walked through the forest to reach the city centre. The hotel is also very well equipped with gym, sauna and free wine in the afternoon. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed our stay here and would return if coming back to Faroe Islands.

If you’re on the bottom floor, you may be next to the car park. We were moved to floor 3.

We much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Brandan, mainly for the following reasons: - Very friendly and helpful staff at reception and around the hotel - Modern and well designed public areas - Functional and well designed rooms, although a little small (but that's rather common in nordic countries) - Sufficient number of parking available - Good buffet breakfast, which met our expectations - Excellent and seamless WiFi coverage around the hotel - Relatively central location and easy access to town center and restaurants
