Stayed once before and decided to come back as it was good the first time. And the second time did not disappoint. I like the overall ambience and feel of the hotel. The spacious lobby with chill areas and the restaurant next to it provide a working downshifting environment for me. The rooms are quiet and comfy. Breakfast has lots of different options and nice view to the river area. Next to the hotel is a parking building with electric car amenities.

The hotel has a small gym room with a Smith press, dumbbells, a pulley rack, a bike and a treadmill, but there is also the nearby bigger EasyFit gym available for 5 euros per visit for the hotel guests. Unfortunately, there is only one key for this and it might not be available when you need it.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out their restaurants, and I have to say, it was fantastic! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the service was top-notch. The menu had a great variety of options and everything I ordered was delicious. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I can't wait to repeat. However, it is quite pricy, to be honest. Additionally, I like the safety of the area, but it is quite the quiet area.

I couldn't use the spa facilities and mainly chose Sokos Kimmel Joensuu because it was going through maintenance, and I wish they had informed me that was unavailable prior to my visit. It was quite disappointing in that regard. I wish they had a couple of things accessible for Muslim visitors.

I liked the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Very cozy yet busy with business travelers. The parking building is just across the street so there's a convenient access to your car. I found the room to be comfortable - pretty much standard quality in Finland. I slept well, so extra plus points for that. Breakfast had a variety on offer.

There was restaurant room service available but it wasn't clearly told in any of the room pamphlets. Had to go and ask straight from the restaurant. (The delivery was quick and nice, though.)

We had an excellent stay here at this hotel. It is across the way from the train station, so it is very convenient. The hotel is large and the rooms are modern and clean. We had great breakfasts and also visited the hotel's sauna for an extra 15 euros. It had two hot tubs, a cold tub, sauna, steam room, and an "experience" shower not to be missed. A great hotel!

The area, Quietness, easy access and having wings on two sides of the hotel. and off course the ginger shots in the morning. There was also modernism in the architecture of the hotel which makes it kinda lux.

Haven't had time to use the Spa and the Gym :( I could not find any brushing or waxing machine or tool for shining my shoes which was getting muddy and dirty during winter. And self-check in was not recognising my booking.

The Sauna time is separated into women and men. But a man came into the Sauna room with his card key in the women's time! Not feeling good. Should the entry time be audited by the hotel ??

The hotel is conviniently located between the railway station and the city centre. I had an issue with something in my room, and was prepared to give a lenghty explanation, but the receptionist found an immediate solution in an effective and helpful manner. This friendly "customer first" attitude makes me want to come back. The absolute highlight of the stay was the generous breakfast spread with a good, varied selection to choose from.

Everything was good.

Very nice location next to the city centre and in front of the park of the river. The room was really confortable, so very excellent the breakfast.

A little slow procedure for checking-in.

Modern, comfortable, extremely nice staff. Lovely local products available eg at breakfast buffet. Very good food at restaurant, real pros at the bar.

Parking is available across the road, but despite huge space and the effort of driving there and (albeit short) walk back, it costs you 16 eur per day in this remote city.
