Everything! Karkkila is a beautiful location and the grounds surrounding the hotel are wonderful. The staff are so friendly and very patient and supportive if you want to practice your Finnish. It’s only a short walk from town and the walk between the hotel and Kino Laika is a photographer’s dream. The kitchen is well equipped and the breakfast was wonderful. Communications leading up to our visit were timely and helpful. We will definitely return!

Nothing! We were in the Red House and I’ve read concerns about the shower. It is more like a wet room and it’s fine providing you don’t put towels or clothing on the floor.

The facility, which displays a charming old Finnish style and the location itself are staggering. The hotel staff and its personnel were overwhelmingly courteous and attentive to guests' needs, and made me feel at home. I travel a lot, but this was definitely the best experience I have ever had. Congratulations.

The room (”deluxe double”) was quite basic and with two single beds instead of a double bed. Surroundings are exquisite and location perfect. Good breakfast. Self-checkin by door code, although it was not mentioned in any messaging that you could just go in without the need to go through reception.

The breakfast box idea was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I really enjoyed it and also kept me from eating too much in a buffet breakfast. They were very sweet and added the dairy-free options I asked for instead of just removing them; e.g. adding oat milk. The staff is lovely.

I know this is a problem here in Finland, but I honestly thought it was a bit pricey for a one-person stay with a single bed. The shower flooded the bathroom easily and there was no floor squeegee to help me get it out. So the bathroom was super wet. The door was a bit too thin and very early in the morning, I could hear other guests coming in and out of their rooms with their luggage very loudly.

Great atmosphere and historic surroundings. We stayed in the 'Red House' building, the room was spacious enough and very clean. Good beds. Check in was easy and comfortable, we got the codes for both doors via Booking mobile app and text message. Breakfast was ready in the fridge and it was diverse (bread, yogurt, apple, egg, juice and milk for the coffee which you could make in the common kitchen area). The restaurant in the main building is worth a try. There is a separate storage room for bikes, just ask the staff.

The room is a bit loud, you can hear quite easily when someone is speaking in the room next to you.

Weekend breakfast was very good. The also.

Very nice and historical surroundings by a river. Good "take away" (or rather "eat alone") breakfast left in the fridge. Peaceful and quiet. Fan available, good beds.

Lot of small things did not work: water in the shower flew towards the sleeping room, parts of device and furniture were loose (e.g. fan, cupboard handles, floor wiper), tap water in the kitchen was brown until ran for 5 min or more, coffee cooker not clean, needed to ask for more toilet paper as it was not automatically delivered even when it was running out the previous day. Breakfast at the Club House quite modest - many items such as drinking glasses and yoghurt missed but were brought in 5-20 min.
