The area is very exceptional, an interesting historical site, very well maintained. We had a very quick visit but we enjoyed it although it was raining. There is much to see, lovely old wooden buildings, Makkarakoski rapids, you can take the tours to learn more of the area, etc. The staff is very friendly, breakfast is plenty (very good oat porridge and exquisite strawberry-rhubarb jam!), room has airconditioning and there was even a shared kitchen upstairs (we were in Sahala building). The added bonus is that you can recharge your electric car for free! This is going to be our regular place to stay when we are heading to Pori or the area in vicinity. It is only 10mins by car from Pori.

Nothing to complain really

Nice cabin with sauna (Liiteri) and peaceful surroundings. Breakfast had good quality items except the juices. Maybe some more varieties of food would be even better.

Almost nothing to complain, but the "exit" sign inside the Liiteri was lit up so bright that it created some problems with sleeping. Would be better without so bright backlight.

Ahlströmin Ruukki is charming blend of historic and modern amenities. You feel you've stepped back in while still all the of today. Plus, the beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere make it perfect place to unwind and relax.

Very nice facilities, old but renovated.

I stayed in the sahala building quite ”far” from the reception. Room was quite small

Everything was very neat and comfortable, we slept very well.

The staff was arguing about the ”disco music” that was played at the breakfast room. As a guest I would have preferred not hearing such things, and the music did not bother us.

Beautiful historia area, clean rooms, friendly staff and excellent dining and breakfast.

The room was not quiet.

The breakfast was excellent, also serving the local delicatesses. We also liked the dinner served at the Klubi a lot. All the buildings in the area were in very good condition and maintained nicely keeping in mind the historical values. Hotel room was spacy, decorated nicely, and all the facilities like bed, bathroom etc were very comfortable. The view to the river was pleasing. Extra mention to the sport and outdoor facilities. In the very winter the hiking paths and ski trails were kept excellent form.

In winter time the restaurant was not open on Sunday, which was somewhat a disappointment(even if we knew it beforehand), specially because the restaurant facilities in the local village are not up to the level of the mansion. Also a little disappointment was that the historical tours were not available on a winter Sunday, maybe there could be more information about the history of the place in the hotel rooms....

Good restaurant on site, romantic surroundings, nice parks for small walks or cycling

Food was mostly excellent but the service in the restaurant could be further improved to make the experience first class.
