Best breakfast we have ever had in a B&B Wonderful host and team Incredibly helpful host Superb location in a great city Great wine in room from their family vinyard
Beautiful but very steep stone stairs - need choice of rooms with knowledge of the 72 spiral stairs - having said that host and team very happy to carry the bags up and down Would be difficult if more disabled / less mobile

Casa Blanca is a large and beautiful 200-year-old terraced house, meticulously and sympathetically restored. However, all the facilities that you would want to be modern, are indeed modern (eg, shower, bath, heating, air-con, wi-fi etc). We stayed on the second floor, in room 4, which is spacious, stylish, bright and airy, and is blessed with three large floor-to-ceiling double windows, one of which opens on to a small balcony. The staff were charming, their service faultless, and the continental breakfast they served extremely tasty. The half-day wine tour of St Emilion and Pomerol, organised for us by the Casa Blanca staff, was excellent.
The absence of a lift/elevator might be a problem for old or frail travellers, but it was fine for me and I am in my sixties. Everything else was ab fab.

This is the best stay in Bordeaux. If you are visiting as a couple, there is nowhere more romantic, relaxing and beautiful than Casa Blanca. The ambiance and amenities are perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic and very fresh, with cooked items providing a delicious and flavourful experience. The staff shared great knowledge on the area and helped us find an unforgettable evening meal reservation at a local restaurant. Overall, one of the best stays we’ve had - very happy customers!
Nothing, Casa Blanca is perfect.

Lovely spacious and clean property. Staff were super helpful and accommodating on arrival. The bedroom was huge, clean, bright and comfortable. As well as a lovely personal welcome touch of chocolates and a message. I liked the booklet on arrival of things to do and recommended restaurants and wineries to visit. Bed was the comfiest I’ve ever slept in and I wished we could have stayed longer. An excuse to come back.
Nothing- but for others- beware that the only access to rooms is a rounded staircase and you may be 2/3 floors up.

This is a really beautiful hotel. I loved the understated design, the simplicity of the rooms, the much-needed air-conditioning, the salon, the food, the staff - everything was wonderful for a long postponed (Covid) holiday. The location was great too, to be so near to the river and even nearer to the marche des chartrons with its lively atmosphere and excellent choice of restaurants.
I was very fortunate to be on the first floor. My one reservation about the hotel is that there is no lift (the original (beautiful) staircase prevents a lift, so I understand why). I would have found it tiring and awkward to have to go much higher up. Next time I want to visit, I will know to request in advance rooms 1 or 2 on the first floor!

We are fortunate to travel the world so our rating reflects the myriad of places we’ve stayed including 5 star hotels. So a 9/10 is very high. The location is great for exploring downtown Bordeaux and the nearby regions. The STAFF are superb! Take their advice (esp. Serge!!). To us friendly, helpful, available people are the most important thing and no place we’ve been provided better service and advice. The breakfasts were perfect for preparing for a day of wine tasting and/or touring. The room was very cozy, and for a hot few days ideal that the air conditioning worked seamlessly. If you’re planning on spending time in downtown Bordeaux we highly recommend Casa Blanca and will return! (I would add if you’re staying here, you may be looking for dining options. Trust their recommendations but would share that both Influences and Racines are within safe walking distance (~1 mile) and are excellent)
Parking can be a minor hassle if you have a car, but still navigable. There are public parking options but turned out we never needed it with our timing of using the car for day trips.

The bed was an absolute standout. The room was so beautiful and calm. The downstairs common area was so peaceful, well decorated and just nice to be in. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were amazing. The decor of the building was so chic, I absolutely loved staying here.
The other people staying at the property treated it like their house and were very loud late in the evening They were extremely obnoxious but that is obviously not the fault of the b&b or staff

We spent 5 nights at Casa Blanca and very much enjoyed our stay. Very stylish and a bit quirky, with a nice touch to all the details in the rooms (a lot of wood), and a great breakfast. The staff was very polite and professional. The only mildly awkward thing was that a toilet and a bathroom were located in different parts of the room and the bathroom had no door (part of the quirky style perhaps!). But everything else was just perfect and well worth a visit

The property is absolutely stunning and there is incredible attention to detail everywhere you look. The room we stayed in was huge and also beautifully finished. The breakfast room and bar area is lovely and the staff are just wonderful. The breakfast is delicious - fresh juice, local pastries and cheeses and lovely extras if you want them. The location was also great and really easy to get to from the train station. You can walk to a lot of the main sightseeing spots from there, too.
Nothing, it’s a super B&B!

Breakfast was delicious and all staff were kind and helpful however especially the male waiter (I think his name was Serg) is the kind of people that add value to a place. Room was spacious, and beds comfortable. Location was OK, close to the tram stop.
There was no door in the bathroom and the toilet configuration was odd. Mini fridge didn't work, some cleaning could have been better is some spots and generally there wasn't enough attention to details.
