We were two road cyclists seeking low costs rooms for rides to the high Cols in the local Hills – Our needs are simple – clean beds and hot showers - this hotel was great for us - at the edge of town - 1920s near the rail head and station with a price that reflects it's non fashionable location

There was nothing we didn't like - we were charged the room rate that matches the location and the owner/manerage couldn't have been more helpful - it is a low cost old fashioned edge of town 2 start hotel - for us just what we were seeking

Great value for the price. it is basic but the price reflects it. it's clean and the owners are very welcoming and helpful. there is also a garage for motorcycles but it fills up quickly. we have stopped here before and will again when visiting this area

if you dont go with silly expectations for the price, there is nothing to dislike

The hotel is very well located. As the hotel website makes clear it is a work in progress for the new owners and is not pretending otherwise. We were comfortable, received smiling and informative attention from the management, the rooms and linen were scrupulously clean and the breakfast very good. In other words everything we wanted for a short stay. I wish the owners well!

My pillow was a little too flat for complete comfort.

Great central location and walkable distance to visit the old town. Good choice of food at breakfast, not just a basic continental breakfast. Our room at the back had great views up to the old town and the mountains. Staff very friendly. Briancon town centre had a great vibe and places to eat and drink. Had a lockable garage where we could keep the motorbike overnight.

The ensuite bathroom was very small.

Great location and really friendly staff who stayed up at desk knowing we were struggling to get to the hotel for a decent time. Stayed up and helped us check in. Friendly on phone and in person.

Quite basic rooms, but perfectly acceptable for the price. The breakfast room was quite crowded, but was still a good classic breakfast.

very confortable bed and bathroom, very clean and super kind staff.

a bit far away from the center (15 min walk uphill). front door has a code to access after reception is closed for the day which they give you in a paper at check in-however because i was checking in i didnt read the paper right then bc i was dealing with my bags. when i came back at night i didnt know the code-luckily i had a phone with internet and was able to check booking and see they had sent the code to me via message! this is obviously on me for not reading, but it would have been nice to have it more strongly highlighted during check in. reception closes at 7 pm, too, which wasnt mentioned before.

A small and cozy room, with a nice view The personnel were super nice, polite and warm. Also the breakfast, just yummy. And a plus is the private parking in the back of the hotel. Also the area is quiet, so if you need some rest after a long journey, it's just perfect.

very good breakfast - limited choice with good quality (coffee, croissants, bread). Room clean, good size, quiet, comfortable bed. Excellent reception with good local knowledge. Off-street parking & locked bike store. Good wifi.

Pillow!

Only a short walk from the train/bus station. Reception was very friendly & helpful. We were given a free local bus ticket for the duration of our stay. There is a fabulous Italian run pizza restaurant right next door with a common door, so no need to go out in the cold. There is a lift for access to rooms.

Though not a problem for us, be aware as an older hotel the bathroom is a little 'tight' and a bit awkward to negotiate the toilet.

The hotel is family owned, and the service was always very friendly. They were also able to offer me many free benefits, such as a room upgrade, and letting me check-in at noon, and check-out at 5pm, since I arrived and left by night train. The hotel is well situated, and has a great view.

My room faced the road, and so there is some road noise, but I did not find this to disrupt my sleep.
