A delightful and tastefully converted old farmhouse right among the vines of the Sauternes 1er classe grand cru vineyards. Very peaceful. Comfortable rooms. Guests have the run of a library and living room to lounge in and tea and coffee making facilities in the dining room. Within walking distance of the 2 Michelin starred restaurant at Chateau Lafaurie Peyregaud if that takes your fancy! But we ate at the Auberge les Vignes in nearby Sauternes which is much more low key but really excellent ! Charming owner Laure gave us a tour of her amazing chai in the morning.

Nothing - everything was perfect

This was a wonderful place to stay. The hosts were delightful and very attentive. We felt as though we were part of the family. The accommodation was opulent and comfortable. The whole ambience was pastural, relaxing amongst the vines with the lovely hum of bees in the vineyard and little or no traffic noise. It was so tranquil. This is a working Chateau producing delicious Sauternes and white wines. Breakfast was great. The pool was cool but perfect for a hot day. There was a secure place to keep our bicycles.

Nothing stood out

The château was incredible and I have zero regrets. The accommodation was excellent from the sitting areas, the breakfast room (and the excellent French breakfast) to the sitting areas and the vineyard views. The staff were all incredible. I was thrilled to stay there and pleased beyond words I stayed. I recommend the tasting in the tasting room before you go.

I have zero regrets except I wish I had made dinner reservations before I arrived. Nothing nearby was open, nothing. I would recommend having reservations for dinner (nearby) shored up before arrival.

The staff was lovely - we arrived late and they offered to put together a picnic meal for us since town was 15 min. or so away. The owner, Laure, was readily available and lovely, as well as her staff. Though there were not refrigerators in the room there is one in the kitchen guests can use. They have a lovely view of a nearby castle and Lalique restaurant, the moon was full, so evening sitting on patio out back was beautiful there. We also took a winery tour which was very thorough, impressive and delicious wines and extras for purchase.)

Maybe only the breakfast as there was only one coffee machine so a bit of a line for coffee when several guest arriving at once. The breads, home made yogurt, fruit, etc. was all great and homey.

We had a fabulous stay here. The property is beautifully appointed and a lovely mix of old and modern. The terrace and pool are so peaceful, the staff very helpful. The tour and tasting here which is included in the price was one of our favourites in the area. There's a fridge to store any food or drinks you buy, and a tea and coffee station. The owner Laure was there when we visited and was really lovely, making sure we were okay and had everything we needed. We would absolutely recommend and would love to go back.

Only very minor things. The person who served breakfast didn't speak any English which made things a bit difficult. The boiled eggs were hard one morning, raw the next. We would have preferred to cook them ourselves. We would have liked some fresh fruit with breakfast, and body wash in the shower. We were told to use the liquid hand soap but it would be so easy to just put body wash in there too.

Everything was amazing. Breakfast was beautiful on the terrace. Picnic basket was a lovely light dinner. Property is stunning and has an ‘at home’ feel. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Beautiful pool, amazing views of surrounding vineyards and Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey. Wine tour of the vineyard and cellars included. Sauternes wine produced by the Chateau is beautiful and Le 5 wine is a winner too. Thank you and a bientot!

Nothing.

Incredible hosts, who make you feel at home in this family-led First Growth Château. You feel their know-how and passion for wine just by chatting with them. Very available, attentive and helpful, staff. Beautiful Property with various 1855 classified neighbours a little hike or a bike ride away. Well decorated interior. A guided tour with a tasting was included in the stay. Rich offer of oenotouristic activities. I am very happy I chose this place for my first visit in Sauternes, I spent a great time there. A morning walk in the vineyards with an orange almost golden sky with botrytized grapes still hangin on the vines and chateaux in every direction gave me the ultimate Sauternes feeling. I highly recommend this place.

Magical place in the heart of vineyards and loved the red painted doors & windows. The room, bed & bathroom was huge & extremely comfortable. Ate breakfast in the grand dining room and sometimes outside with views of vineyards & neighboring chateaus.

The owners are incredibly friendly, easygoing, make you very relaxed, there staff will go out of there way to make your stay the best they possibly can . It’s immaculately clean , powerful showers , modern bathrooms, very comfy beds and luxury linens and towels . We spent most our time around the pool as the scenery is just stunning, especially the Château Yquem in the distance . It was wonderful having the pool as not many places this area have them. Bommes in my opinion is one of the most beautiful parts of Bordeaux. You won’t be disappointed booking here .

Laura and the staff were gracious hosts. The buffet breakfast was laid out in the château kitchen and we ate in the elegant dining room.

It was a shame the weather turned colder the day we arrived, so we decided not to make use of the swimming pool.
