The host, Pierre, was very friendly and jolly. He made us most welcome and put us at ease - it seemed as if he was sharing his home with you rather than you being a guest. The room and bathroom were spacious with good facilities. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice: fresh bread, pastries, eggs, cheese, yoghurt and lovely homemade preserves. The breakfast room was also available if you wanted to eat your own food during the day in a dining room rather than in your room. The surrounding area was very quiet and good for walks. The chateau was dog-friendly and with no additional charge which was a bonus.
The water pressure in the bathroom was rather lacking but it is a period property which has retained all its features so it's probably only to be expected.

The large manor is situated on a beautiful piece of property. The included breakfast was served downstairs at a long table. We ate fresh eggs from the roaming chickens and walnuts from the trees. There was meats, cheeses and more. The host came down in the morning to greet us. He was charming. My partner and I enjoyed walking around the property and sitting under the big tree. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
If you don't need the home and cleanliness to be up to hotel standards, you will be okay. I tend to focus on dirt and wear and tear, whereas my partner is much more forgiving.

The host was so friendly and welcoming. He could not do enough for us. Nearby restaurants were closed as it was Sunday, and so he suggested we order a takeaway and let us eat it in the breakfast room - using the hotel’s plates, glasses, napkins, etc, and leaving them for him to wash up! The place was unique- a genuine chateau. It had lovely rooms. Loads of space. Breakfast was an excellent spread of breads, croissants, cold meats, cheeses, home made jams and jellies, free range eggs, and fruit and nuts(from the garden). Everything was excellent.
The weather! 😄😄

Beautiful setting for this authentic french chateau set in lovely gardens. The host Pierre was helpful, charming and very diligent. He worked really hard to ensure guests had a good experience. He communicated very well and even makes his own jam. The rhubarb ginger and orange confection was fantastic for breakfast with the lovely fresh croissants. The location was out of the way with designated secure guest parking area and the chateau grounds extensive. Our room was as advertised and was clean and comfortable - we had a great nights sleep. Excellent Wi-Fi.
The water flow in the bathroom was very slow.

Pierre was a marvellous host. Very friendly and accommodating and due to very bad weather we arrived late, but Pierre was there to give us a warm welcome. The house and grounds are stunning. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was superb, particularly with Pierre’s homemade rhubarb jam, hard boiled eggs from his chickens and a great selection of cheeses. Delicious! About 30 minutes drive from Dieppe port, it made an ideal stopover before catching a ferry. We would certainly stay there again. Thank you very much, Pierre.
Nothing.

The chateau itself was lovely - exactly what we imagined. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Lots of options at breakfast. wifi was good. Parking was good. Communication from the host was brilliant - we did book this late as were traveling around and had plans change last minute, We'd love to return but would book earlier and pick a different room.
The room was very small - we did know this before coming. Shower needed some maintenance - it leaked more water than it put out but still managed to shower.

Pierre owns the property and greeted us on arrival - very friendly and wanted to make sure we were happy with everything. I loved the property which is very original throughout and maintains charm and history. It's not in a restored state, but I like this and it shows its patina. The beds were comfy, the water was hot and the breakfast was lovely. I'm going to stay again for sure on my way down and up through France. Plenty of parking. Great value for money.
If you only like 100% restored places then maybe this is not for you. But for history buffs like me, it was spot on. It was clean, lovely and full of history / patina. Our room had a nice big bathroom with a mixer shower attachment in the bath - my only suggestion would be to install a walk in shower, or at least have a holder for the shower head. But no big deal for a night or two.

What a wonderful setting, ideal for the port of Dieppe. I was made very welcome by Pierre and the whole place had lots of French character. I had brought a picnic supper and Pierre immediately said to eat in dining room and to use his plates etc. I enjoyed walking around the lovely garden. There was also a sitting room for guests to use plus a pool table. The water was hot and the shower worked really well. Breakfast was great with most of the produce from his own garden I would certainly recommend highly.
Nothing....look forward to returning

Pierre was a very friendly and welcoming host who made sure we knew the check-in arrangements etc. well ahead of time. We stayed in the attic suite, and although there should have been 4 of us, one of my sons decided to stay home so we only used the two rooms that had the en-suite bathrooms. The rooms were spacious and although basic, were charming. There were enough plug sockets to charge phones etc. and the showers were good. We got takeaway pizza from the local village (very good) and ate it in the breakfast room with a bottle of wine we'd brought. Pierre made sure we had crockery and glasses to use and told us where to leave the used things for him to clear away. He also made sure we knew how to get the balls for the pool table in the lounge. Breakfast in the morning was a friendly, communal affair at the long table in the breakfast room and there were excellent local cheeses, meats, fruit, home-grown walnuts, croissants, bread and plenty of coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.
There were a couple of windows with cracks and breaks in them so it might get draughty in winter if they aren't fixed. They probably will be though, and it was summer so it didn't matter to us. The path from the car parking area needs to have a bush trimmed back but that's a very minor complaint.

This was such an interesting experience ! Location is fantastic, the "chateau" is surrounded by a fabulous domain. But the thing we appreciated the most was the authenticity of the whole experience, having a complete & immersive feeling of living in another century. I think this is so difficult to have these days, when almost everything is at a fast pace, dealt with in a superficial manner. Plus the fantastic host, Pierre, who is such a welcoming person. The breakfast was fantastic, with other guests at a one big table, (chateau-style) with lots of locally and fresh made produces. In a 15 days stay in France, it was the best breakfast. Not as in the rest of locations in France where we stayed during our trip and where almost all on the table was sweet, missing some essential ingredients which you would expect to have in France, (for example french cheese !!). Not at Chateau de Grosfy ! Congratulations, Pierre ! You are an excellent host and you provide your customers with such a great experience !
